I just finished the June 27 and 28 shows and I’m so excited! They were two of the best episodes in a long time. The chemistry was absolutely popping between Sharon and Phyllis at the bar – the actresses seemed to be having so much fun. And Phyllis and Kevin’s banter at the coffeehouse was so clever – very well written and perfectly performed. Billy’s expressions when he first saw Chloe in the graveyard were spot on. Please indulge me and let me talk about their looks. I barely recognized Rey because he was clean shaven, almost wax-like. Chloe is so teeny tiny, I loved it when Billy, that long talk drink of water hugged her and they stood side by side. Chelsea still has that mole. Sharon’s hair is her best accessory. Phyllis’ new whisper voice when she’s saying something naughty is difficult to hear and I have to put on subtitles or turn the volume up loud. I think they’re giving Adam little sideburns to make him look older.
That Adam and Chloe scenes finally gave us the “nuance of this Adam”. It was short, yet it felt authentic and truthful. His comment on how Chloe’s motivation is still motherly, as opposed to him which he can’t quite still figure out, is realistic to me as well.
Also, yey for Adam on being decent enough to hide Chloe on a cozy room! and treat her as a person, contrary to how Kevin treated Phyllis.
Did i miss that Summer and Kyle’s divorce is official? Otherwise, i cant imagine how Lola can be having a bridal shower and Kyle making all these wedding plans
Nope. It wasn’t shown, nor had anyone even allude to it this week, or last week.
My Dearest Thursday episode: will you marry me? Such a wonderful and touching episode with the Traci and Cane sweet and sensitive tastefully swoony scenes , the Chloe and Esther reunion, and the Adam and Chloe scene that I think finally won me over to this iteration of the 0Adam character. His words, his sincerity and remorse melted my heart. I was not expecting that kind of civil conversation between the two of them. Bravo Y & R!
I love how Ana and Mariah and Tessa have established their partnership. It shows women empowerment and growth as a team. They’re also being projected as the lighter side of the show, balancing the heavy drama of Adam and the Newmans and the romantic dramas of Traci/Cane, Devon/Elena, Sharon/Rey and Kyle/Lola. Weirdly, Mariah, who’s actually the head of Power Communications never even have an introduction on what she’s going to do? Never been to the office once? Is it bad that I would like to see Phyllis and Theo get it on at some point. They would be so hot and steamy together! It would also be karma on Summer for sleeping with her mother’s boyfriend, not that I think Phyllis should do that to her daughter. For television purposes, it would be intriguing and obviously add a lot of drama. Perhaps Summer could do something else to Phyllis that makes the audience not have a lot of sympathy for Summer or Phyllis could just find him too irresistible that she just can’t help herself!
I was glad that Traci’s book ended with Flynn shooting Lily’s character after she shot him. He finally seemed to stand up for himself and not let her have the last laugh. To me, it kind of made up for all the times that Lily did wrong by Cane and never really got any slack for it.
Finally, Craci/Trane happened! As much as I would’ve love to see Cane have a build up of feelings for Traci, their romance story is now going somewhere.
Also as massive reader, that part in which Traci states all the process of book publishing is so on point. But with the first draft being finished now, I think we won’t be seeing those black and white story? I will miss those scenes.
And didn’t Traci look great in that dark purple shirt?
Ali you have mentioned you like reality in your soaps, as I am sure most of us feel that way. It is not very realistic that Lola does not have a single friend or cousin from back home that she is inviting to her wedding. She is a young person who has lived her entire life in Miami and only seems to have Abby, Mariah and Tessa as friends. It would be much more believable if Lola’s mother showed up in town with a good friend of Lola’s. Y&R should at least have Lola mention her friend is unable to… Read more »
Lucky for Abby all of her male staff happens to be in great shape. Not one waiter seems to have any body fat. What a coincidence!
Disappointed I missed coming to the website last week.
I don’t know why Abby is so resentful towards Summer who is her neice. Shouldn’t Abby be trying to make amends for sleeping with Summer’s husband Austin. The way Abby acts you would think that it was Summer who betrayed Abby. Abby is always so angry with Summer. Abby does not act like she is Summer’s aunt. Shouldn’t an aunt be more loving and caring?

I forgot to add that Traci looked so pretty in purple when Cane kissed her.
I think this may be the first time in my life I’m using this phrase, but Cane and Traci’s kiss seemed “organic.” It was short, but long enough to cross a line, and filled genuine admiration.
Did Chloe tell Esther they have been living in the Midwest? Portland is not the Midwest, and she should know that being from Wisconsin. Or did she say Northwest?
I heard Midwest too & wondered about it.
Chole softly said “away from the Midwest.”
I thought she said, “We’ve been living in Portland, far away from the Midwest”. It was a weird, clunky line.
