Henry probably knows the answer to this question. Can anybody tell me how many times Victor has been presumed dead?
I don’t believe for one second Victor is really dead. We all know if he really died there would have been a whole death bed scene at the hospital where everybody told them how much they loved him and it sure would’ve gone of for a few days. It has to be a plan to expose Adam for changing the pills. I think Victor checked the video of the living room after Adam left and saw what he did with the pills and set this whole thing up to catch him. The blood tests revealed that Victor had been overdosed. Not know for sure who the culprit was he devised a plan that he would pretend to die and be whisked away. (that is why he wanted the entire family there for his performance) His treatment will continue with no interference and he will reappear good as new. I believe Nikki is in on the plan.

I can’t and don’t believe that thew great Victor Newman is dead. Just likew that *finger snap noise*. He is older and a human but he’s definitely smart! This is a bigger plan I’m sure and I agree with you guys who is assuming this is somethign deeper and that this is a plan to come back from the dead and scare the hell out of Adam…

This is all a big plan to catch Adam. Although to go to the lengths of telling the whole city is overkill. Just imagine how Adam is going to feel especially after he finds out Billy is the one who tried to run him down not victor

Were he listening very hard, Adam would have realized Vic didn’t try to mow him down from the response he got when he went over to the ranch and accused him in person.

Victor will not leave y&r, until he dies in real life. Have watched show from beginning.It replaced Love of Life. Victor came on 27 years ago. Show is 45 years old. I am 80 years old. Long live Young and Restless/ and Eric/Victor

Thanks Ali for the insight! Heck no! Victor is not dead! All of your theories are “spot on!” (ratings need a boost, it was all staged for Adams benefit, etc.) Yes! Yes! I can’t believe I fell for it! I was among the ones that Googled Eric Braden. Typically when a character leaves the show we are informed of the actor’s final taping/appearance, etc. Not the case with this. Thanks again!

No. However is this more of a ploy to explain how Nate can play fast and loose with “death pronouncements” when there is a good reason like in this case Victor’s safety. Is this how a certain popular former cast member can be brought back on the show as the same character instead of a look a like.
He’s onto Adam. He’s laying low until Adam confesses from the guilt. I think Nick and Nikki know the truth which will eventually put them at odds again.
No—and Adam never intended to kill, poison or bring Victor to brink of death. He told Phyllis exactly that—that even though he believes Victor tried to kill him by running him over, he just wants to weaken Victor and get him off his game. Of course messing with an older man’s life saving medication is dangerous. Adam supposedly used an actual pharmicist to make the switch and knows what it will and won’t do, if all goes according to his plan. That’s a big “if” though.
I do not think Victor is dead. Maybe someday EB will want to retire or semiretire but I probably won’t even believe it then. How many times had Victor been presumed dead? Does anyone know the answer? The first I remember is when he was living with hope on the farm.
Heck no Victor is not dead! Eric Braden is Victor Newman! Eric is not going anywhere. Ali, Victor and Nate came up with this whole plan, imo. Nate HAD to tell Victor that Adam stole the tablet and Nate and Victor concocted this whole scheme of Victor pretending to be dead to make Adam believe Victor died. I will be sitting with popcorn watching everything unfold! LOL!
