My favorite couple of the week is Nick and Phyllis!
It feels like their relationship and interaction is just easy. Same thing with Chelsea and Adam, they are just comfortable with each other. And with Nick and Chelsea it feels like no matter how hard they try it’s such an effort.
Do you think these actors are JUST THAT GOOD or is there something about the chemistry between the actors?
LOL! Abby is the thief! Just like the hotel in Dirty Dancing that experienced a wave of wallet thefts, the Golden Phoenix has had a wave of jewel thefts. And just like the old couple got busted when the lady’s purse dropped, revealing a boatload of wallets, Abby’s momentary clumsiness revealed ALL the jewels for Chance to see! Haha. Truthfully, those jewels were part Party City, part Mardi Gras. But the question is, are they still on for drinks? To me, their pairing seems too obvious, too expected to actually happen.
Abby is desperately trying to get rid of Phyllis and cooked this crime wave up! Especially obvious now why those two kooky cosplayer actresses seemed way over the top! I hope she mails their jewels to them. I hope to not ever see or hear them again!

I was surprised to see that Abby was the culprit, and Y&R hasn’t surprised me (at least pleasantly) in a while! However, if Abby fired Phyllis because of the security system, then why did she need to have the jewel thefts?
Abby is way out there with her flirting, but Chance is harder to read. At times he seems interested; other times, he seems to be politely avoiding her comments. I’m not crazy about this potential pairing; it feels as though it could get boring very quickly. (Though if Chance does have a dark side that we haven’t seen, that might be interesting.)
A few weeks ago Lola was talking to one of the characters about relationships. I believe it was Mariah, but I am not positive. She was talking about how you need to stay true to who you are and mentioned the purse fiasco and why she felt the way that she did. I believe she basically said that she has evoIved since that incident. I recently read an article online from the Business Insider on MSN news. To add to that comment regarding Lola’s gift from Kyle last Christmas. Lola could have graciously accepted the expensive gift from Kyle while snot being a huge fan of material things. By showing Kyle her support for how he was raised, doesn’t mean she has to change her feelings on the matter. I believe Lola basically said in her conversation with Mariah that she has evolved and learned from that time.
Thumbs up! Balance is so important for a relationship. I think this also applies to what is going on with Billy and Victoria right now too.
Great post! I’m just glad the writers let Lola explain about how she felt about the purse. She explained it very well. BTW, it was to Theo. It was when he was trying to figure out if he should take the job in Paris. He worried about the opportunity changing him.

Finally an advantage on the Canadian side! I’m near Toronto, where are you wondergirl? There are so many times I want to watch a movie or documentary but can’t cuz its US. I even tried a VPN to watch something on my friend’s US amazon account but it didn’t work!
Sunday is the opportunitea event in Toronto! If anyone is going please dish us ALL the details (Q&A, what they are like in real life). It says no videos so no chance it will be on yt. I’m regretting not buying tickets now because they will be so close to where I live & it’ll be some of my favs: Lilly, Adam, Sharon, Michael. Michael has posted some fun stuff on twitter. The boy playing Connor is doing a really good job. He’s very natural on camera, and is quite skilled. His whining when manipulating Chelsea and Adam is spot on. His expression when chanting his mantra is subtle. The actor makes me believe Connor knows exactly what he wants (his family together) and how to get it. I believe he feels monsters but knows how to use it to keep Chelsea and Adam together. His monster is the fear of losing his family. Do you mean when he closes his eyes quickly squints? I’ve noticed it too. I thought it was just a thing to show emotion but then I’ve seen when it when its a non emotional scene too.
Woah! Abby robbing her own guests to get rid of Phyllis? This is the most interesting thing Y & R has done with Abby in years. Carry on!
Then again they are making her look dumb enough to stuff the jewelry loosely into a bag and spill it as she stumbles out of an elevator. Let’s hope there is more to the story. A Phyllis set up?
Abby setting up Phyllis or Phyllis setting up Abby or neither? Ali will straighten this out on Sunday. I’m confused.
I am sure what they are trying to say is that Abby is the one behind the rash of burglaries indangering The Grand Phoenix. Evidently she was gambling on using this crisis as an excuse for removing Phyllis from the troika running the hotel. The interesting question is will goody two shoes Chance do his sworn duty and bring the culprit Abby to justice or will he decide to do what Rey did after discovering that his wife Mia was the one responsible for assaulting his sister Lola. Well well well, Amanda and Billy…I wonder what would Victoria say ;). I liked those scenes between those two though.
Not sure how other chatters feel, but I think Abby and Chance are adorable together. They look well suited together, as they both have blonde hair and blue eyes. A very nice looking couple. I think Chance is the perfect guy for Abby right now. Abby doesn’t want to be too serious with anyone, as she had said that to Nate. With Chance working for the FBI, he probably doesn’t have a lot of time to spend with Abby. He definitely doesn’t come across as a needy guy who would require all of Abby’s attention all of the time. Hey Ali, I just wanted to share this bit of info with you regarding the dinner party crackers that were discussed. You should think about picking some Christmas ones this year. They definitely add a little fun to the dinner with family and friends. You can find them at department stores and even the dollar store. The more expensive ones are about $12.00 for approx. 6 of them. The more expensive they are, the better prizes are inside. Usually they are opened at the dinner table by everyone at the same time. Did I just see Victoria being a supportive sister to Abby???? She was so great about boosting Abby’s confidence in spite of the setbacks at The Grand Phoenix. I can’t remember another conversation like that between the Newman sisters. Wow.
It is striking that we never see Victor or Nikki stopping in at Society or The Grand Phoenix. Another example of.the veteran cast being sidelined?

I liked how Y&R paralleled Devon and Elena’s relationship to Billy and Victoria’s in Wednesday’s episode. They both mentioned issues of needing to spend more time together and we saw Devon ask Elena to lunch and make time for her and how Victoria did not do that for Billy. Billy and Amanda will get close and Victoria will be constantly working but get hurt in the EXACT SAME WAY by Billy.
Why should Victoria have to clear her schedule because Billy quit his job to “find himself”? Until 5 minutes ago they were both busy CEOs raising young children who probably grabbed alone time when they could. Victoria has dropped everything for Billy numerous times, just recently for his crisis in the boathouse after he tried to KILL Adam. As you can tell, I’m not very sympathetic to Billy’s latest pity party. He has every resource at his disposal to make a midlife career shift. He doesn’t need to drink in dive bars, cheat with Amanda, chew gum weirdly or whatever.… Read more »
