I voted no. I thought it was nice that Billy stayed with Amanda for support last week when she needed it but I definitely am not interested in a romance between them. I agree with you Ali that Amanda’s personality is pretty lame. I don’t know what the supposed attraction is that Adam feels for her other than a physical attraction. Yawn! A couple of times I actually fast-forwarded while Billie and Amanda were on. They just keep having the same conversation wearing different clothes. She is so boring. And Billie is on the rebound.
All the no! Billy and his reckless, self centered, disrespectful behavior have deeply hurt Victoria and their children. That Damn Billy Abbott has been a hurricane of drama, heartache, and stress for Victoria for years. Amanda is hust a substitute Victoria……..and I think she knows it. Right now, Billy needs some time as a single man, to work on himself, and figure out how to live his life without messing up some poor woman’s life.
No one deserves Billy’s nonsense right now–what a train wreck. He needs some alone time to concentrate on being a good father and figuring out what he wants to do for work. He doesn’t need the money but he does need some direction in his life.
AMANDA is not Hillary. Billy is fabulous. Amanda is fabulous. Devon and nu-Hillary story is way too obvious. And boring. Let Victoria be jealous and act on that. I’m fine if Elena gets together with Nate. Devon and Mariah were fun, but not again. Devon and Phyllis’ sister would be good and do good. I would like to see Mariah and Daniel. He could work through a lot of angst with that. And there is a little girl who could be future pals with Connor and Christian. Good drama in years ahead.
I voted No, I do not want Amanda and Billy in a relationship right now. Something about it just does not feel right to me how Billy was going behind Victoria’s back to see Amanda and claiming over and over they are just friends and the second Victoria dumps him and he walks out on her, now Amanda is his answer?! There is a complete lack of chemistry between these two. I think the production people were contemplating making Amanda into an emasculating, tough as nails counselor but that hasn’t happen yet, consequently she is, as Ali describes her, rather bland. As a result, this pairing has become something of an albatross wrapped around the neck of the show.
