Loved last week’s Y&R episodes from Adam being institutionalized to Devon and Amanda’s first date!

Thanks to “Fellow Chatter Ellen” I’ve learned that Justin Gaston is now portraying the role of Chance due to Donny Boaz being down with Covid-19. Justin is the real life husband of Mellissa Ordway (Abby). Knowing what I know now, it is Melissa’s voice that announces the change on Monday’s show. Youtube, by the way, is amazing! It allows me to view the next day episode’s of Y&R and even Monday’s show can be viewed over the weekend! In that regard some of you chatters may not have seen Justin yet. Get well soon Donny!
2020 sure has led to some strange changes on YR—but at least Melissa and Justin can get within 6 feet of each other! I wonder how long it will take for the entertainment industry to get access to the COVID vaccine. Could be a while? Or does money = access?

Theo is suing for Dina’s ENTIRE estate! Good luck with that! The character doesn’t seem primed to leave the show any minute, and I think chatters are on to something with the suggestion that Theo is going to loose his case but quick and then run off with the nucleus of the emerald necklace! It’s perfect and of course Theo will be back! Let’s review the Teardrop of Love: Whenever I have seen a close up of it it seemed to have been a solid rock without a lot of ornamentation around the pereimers of it. This belies Jack’s explanation… Read more »

Adam’s instinctive running from the nuthouse and capture offscreen was awsome and effective! And a touch of sophistication for a booming city like Genoa City in that he is not being housed at the cliche Fairview (which audiences have witnessed to be CORRUPT in recent years) but some specialized clinic elsewhere. Hopefully No Visitors so he can’t head trip Sharon from his hospital bed. When Adam gets out he will be cured and grateful for this time so he need not go after Sharon then either… Text your gratitude and leave the soon to be bride alone. Adam’s happiness lies… Read more »

Why is there a new character playing the role of Chance? Is this temporary? The announcer said, “The role of Chance is NOW BEING Played by…..” He didn’t say “The role TODAY…..”
WOW! Thanks Ellen. I assume social distancing won’t be a factor with Melissa and (Chance) since that’s hear real life husband. That works for me as they plan their wedding…..let the scenes of intimacy begin……
No Gary I live in the Southeast. Viewing ahead is just the magic of Youtube! Youtube is amazing! I love viewing ahead. It is so neat to be able to view Monday’s show over the weekend. Chance’s replacement (albeit temporary) will be announced on Monday’s show. Thanks to fellow chatter, Ellen, Justin Gaston is portraying that role for now and happens to be the real life husband of Melissa Ordway (Abby). Melissa also happens to be the voice you’ll hear on Monday that announces the change….cool. In that regard, I guess there won’t be any need for social distancing for… Read more »

I don’t know what other chatters think, but I can’t help feeling like Faith is lying about drinking alcohol. I thought for sure when Phyllis guessed that Faith had been drinking, that Faith decided to go along with it because she knew that she had done much more than try alcohol. If you recall, we never actually saw what Jordan took out of her bag. Maybe there was a reason for that. I think it will come out that Faith is experimenting with drugs.
Good catch Dianna. I think you might be right. Faith is acting pretty desperate when anyone finds out she is acting out.

Does anyone else think Abby and Chance will struggle to have a baby? I wonder if it will be difficult for them to get pregnant because they talk non stop about having a baby right away. They haven’t had any major conflict so this could be theirs. This could always be a great way to bring awareness and discussion about infertility between couples.
Melissa Ordway, the actress who plays Abby, her and her husband adopted one of their children. Maybe this could lead to an adoption story line and since the actress has personally dealt with this, she could bring such genuine emotion and information to the story.
Great idea. This would add interest and allow viewers to pull for them as they embark on their journey to parenthood. Their journey could educate viewers on the physical and emotional valleys couples go through when pregnancy does not happen.

I am not here for Billy being the prime suspect in the attempted shooting of Adam. Billy is such a boring choice to me. His hatred towards Adam is always because of Delia and that has been used way too much. It would be so much more interesting if Chelsea was the prime suspect, but because she is not makes me think Chelsea is the actual shooter. Maybe Chelsea was trying to shoot around Adam because she saw him on his phone about to set off the bomb in Newman Tower and was going to just shoot the gun but… Read more »
I understand that Y&R, like all soaps, is a work of overwrought fiction, but I have to say that the 11/20 episode truly strained credulity: If your father ambushes you with an order of commitment, call an attorney; because you can most certainly contest the validity of the judicial order by pointing out that the supporting mental health counselor for your father’s claim has been married to your brother, then to you, and then to, your father, and is the mother of two of your very wealthy father’s grandchildren, along with the fact that the claim of the subject being… Read more »
Hey Judy—I don’t know if you’re aware but I’ve been dubbed Adam’s “defense attorney” because I’m always speaking up on his behalf, But you need to take the lead on this commitment nonsense!!! I support your stance 100%. The conflicts of interest are so obvious here—Sharon with her past relationship with Adam and only a clinical social work degree is in no position to advise the court on his condition. WE OBJECT!!! Of course Adam does need psychiatric help—he hasn’t even told anyone he sees and hears his 11 year old self. That’s rather serious. I really don’t see where… Read more »

Sooooo, gum chewing Billy takes a few naps in a boathouse and goes to a few outpatient sessions and never faces consequences for actual attempted murder. Chloe shoots Adam point blank in the chest, evades capture with Kevin—and it all gets pardoned by crooked DA Michael Baldwin. Let’s see if Adam’s sins are all washed away by a cleansing visit to a “very comfortable facility”. That’s how it works, right? Adam will be welcomed into the warm embrace of family and GC because he had “issues”, right? No hard feelings after he completes a little time working on his mental… Read more »
If the previews are any indication you can take comfort in the fact that Billy has become the prime suspect in the shooting. Now, as they say, the shoe is on the other foot. Perhaps this would be the best time for a little R&R in the form of emotional, psychological and physical support from Lily. Unfortunately, under the spectre of covid-19, we can not expect to see much but a ton of allusions and visual references would not be too bad.

Ugh Chloe, just stop. You are a criminal! Who do you think you are? Look in a mirror just once.
Ellen is going over the top to call Chloe a criminal, but of course she is!
She is annoying, as well. It is very difficult to get past this character’s past selfishness. Her interest in Chelsea as a friend is the only thing that saves her.
I may be in the minority, but I appreciated what Chloe had to say to Chelsea. Chloe‘s dark past gives her extra insight into Adams thinking. She has experience with going down a path of dangerous thoughts. I get a sense Chloe is a true friend. She only wants what’s best for Chelsea. I’m glad Chelsea decided to go back to Adam. I think this helps to move the story along and Chelsea is a character who helps the viewer see more deeply into Adams’s motivations.

I know it was suppose to be dramatic and painful when the police officer goes to restrain Adam, but because we could only hear it and not see it. I found the humor in it. Sorry, Not Sorry.
I thought that was funny too! The policer officer was quite large and I’m sure handled Adam like a rag doll! Also, I’m sure we didn’t actually see the altercation due to COVID-19.

I hope Nate indulges in his anger toward Devon. Y & R could use more conflict to interest the viewers. Nate, let Devon have it, then sue him for loss of use of your hand. Also, Nate further anger Devon by telling him how you feel about Elena and how you think she feels about you. It’s time to speak up and not stuff your feelings.

Just temporary due to Donny Boaz being out with COVID. He’s already back filming. Temp actor is Melissa’s real life husband.
