Simply, the character is the B&B type. Over the many years, the characters are different. The quality of both shows is excellent, so is the casting. But the crossovers don’t work. Eric and Lauren have gone back and forth for a day or two during a fashion show. That works. Sheila is an entity, and her Y&R presence was not as workable on B&B. She is a Y&R character. Actors have been on both shows successfully, but as different characters, as Brad/Bill or Donna/Grace. Sally is a B&B character. I politely vote she can go back to LA.
I voted that I’m not feeling her. I haven’t watched B&B in like 15 years so I don’t know anything about the character. So far I’m not impressed, I don’t know if it’s her or the fact that we are losing Theo in favor of her. At least we knew why Theo did some of the things he did. Sally just seems like she’s owed everything and watching her be manipulative to get what she wants without any backstory is not interesting to me.
I am one of the few favorable votes on Sally, even though I suspect she is the reason they can’t afford my beloved Theo anymore. She is an entertaining troublemaker—without being a villain. Kind of like Lauren was in her younger days. Kind of like—hmmmm, THEO. Why can’t I have BOTH OF THEM?
It may be too soon to vote thumbs down, but I did. I like Sally Spectra from B&B, and I love Courtney Hope. So the writers better do right by her and put some real effort into developing her as a dynamic character. Not everyone knows who Sally is or where she came from. Her traits from B&B tend to remind me of Phyllis. Still waiting to see where this goes.
Sally has been turned into a copycat of Summer. I really liked her character on B&B but she is not the same person on Y&R. I wish Theo was staying because they could really stir up a lot of trouble together. Right now she just seems poised to be the latest entry in the Kyle – Summer Triangle.
I like this new Sally. She is going g to spice things up. She played Sally on BnB. She became very deranged and obsessed before her exit in that show. She will do a great job on YnR.
I totally agree. She is an interesting character. I liked her on B&B. She is a manipulator though, Summer better watch ,she may go after Kyle
That’s interesting. So far, I don’t like this version of Sally, I enjoyed the way she was written on B&B, well at least up to the very end. She was fun and vivacious. Y&R seems to have written her be just a complete manipulator, without that spunky side to her. Not a good look, to me.
