Yes please. We need some freshness in the show.

I voted yes. This could be a great complicated storyline. It could involve characters from Y & R’s past or characters already on our screen. For instance, Imani could have some connection to Nate’s former finance or to Chance. I would vote yes, if for no other reason, than Mishael Morgan is a phenomenal actress and I’d like to see more of her. I believe Naya hasn’t been truthful and there’s a lot more to her story. Also, I think there’s a reason for Imani to be so protective of her mother. I’d like to find out why.

I voted no. I fear that this is headed for a redemption story with the specific intent of teaching Amanda a life lesson based on that simple, old cliché to “never judge a book by its cover”. Step one: Amanda is invited to meet her biological mother and sister and learns that because of social opprobrium it became imperative that Naya eschew her maternal instincts and leave Amanda to the mercy of child welfare authorities. Step two: through the auspices of Devon Amanda is steered like a guardian angel to look at her saga as a ward of the state… Read more »

I voted yes, but only if Naya warms up a bit. Mishael Morgan’s acting has been phenomenal, but I don’t think my heart can take any more of Naya as the ice queen of mothers. It broke my heart for Amanda.

Yes, I do. I wouldn’t mind seeing Naya’s folk turned into the next mini family on the show. Because these people are wealthy and political (prominent if not famous) likely with a lot of family skeletons they aren’t ready for the world to see they are ripe for contemporary soap drama. John Conboy, the original producer of Y&R, before B&B, created a soap right next to the Y&R soundstage called Capitol in the early 1980s which took place in Washington DC and all that goes along with that. Never watched it and it didn’t last long. Perhaps Imani’s brother will… Read more »

Ellen, I realize a woman could be president – was obsessively rooting for one a few years ago, just not Imani! The mention of a brother getting the office has me fleshing out the family to better help them be able spin & spin for years without so quickly running dry… Emanuel for president!

Both seemed out of place to me. Maybe after the dust settles the mother can make appearances. But I just thought bla.

I want to see Amanda knock Imani down a few pegs. As of now I’m not liking Imani at all, she comes across as stuck up, selfish, cold, entitled and down right bitchy.

Amanda could sock her and I would look the other way

Not really. Maybe a little more Naya. But definitely less Imani. I bet they would change their tone about Amanda, if they find out that her friend is the billionaire, Mr. Devon Hamilton.
Also, I wonder if the thing about the father been dead was something that Naya was told, but not true. I remember awhile back one of the chatters, speculating that a board member Victoria was talking to on a zoom call, could be Amanda’s father.
