I found the character’s departure jarring. Y & R has been writing Abby and Chance so the viewers became invested in their future. They had the characters date and toy with a relationship. Then, boom they fell in love with the thoughts of having a family. Their wedding hit all the right notes with nods to the past and family legacies. Donny B did a fair job in the role, but didn’t win me over. I’m sure COVID had something to do with it. Just didn’t get into what he brought to the character. Which wasn’t much of anything.
I’m not going to shed tears for him. I found him to be a rather boring actor in scenes outside of Melissa. I really don’t think they are letting go of that many characters.
I really hope this is due to budget cuts and not their idea of a “twist.” If it is due to budget cuts…that has me worried about the show. 🙁
I don’t like how they handled Chance’s departure,made no sense to get rid of him in middle of a storyline and to still do the story without Chance just awful
I don’t like what they did to Danny or to Chance and Abby. They were just starting on this whole new storyline with Mariah. now will be ridiculous to pursue this storyline without Chance. I heard they are not planning a recast. Chance is just gone, how stupid!
