I just listened to Soap Opera Digest podcast interview with Melissa & real life husband Justin. I was so interesting. They talked about how they met, the weddings, how much they loved working together & their journey of having a family. I had know idea how real the fertility s/l is for the actress. Its worth checking out. He was on American Idol so of course I checked that out. He looked so different. My DVR recorded all the episodes this week, even though Tues thru Fri was preempted. Each day had a little synopsis/description of the show. From what I read, it was a good week. So are we here in the U.S. going to see those shows this week?
Since we don’t really see Mariah at Jabot as we are to believe she works there, maybe Mariah and Tessa could run the Dive bar together. Mariah could run it with her staff when Tessa is on the road. Warmer weather will be coming soon and the outdoors is the new indoors now. They could have theme nights, Tessa could perform there sometimes. They could have a winter theme on a mild winter evening using outdoor heaters that restaurants have. Excellent concept Dianna. It’s such a waste of Tessa to have her “on the road”. And Mariah should not be in a corporate job. This would be a great post-COVID-19 and post-surrogacy direction for them. I don’t want them to settle down and want a baby of their own—yet.
I suddenly had a brainstrom: what if the producers decided to keep Melissa Ordway off the canvas for about a month. Then, upon her return, we see Abby waking up in bed remembering all that stuff about Chance being sterile and the secret mission he was sent away never, presumably, to return. Then, out of the blue, we see a figure awaken out of the bed. It is Melissa Ordway’s real life husband. Abby’s grumblings had woken him up. He begins to speak. I’m counting on it. Sunday chat is essential. Since this is February sweeps, feel free to speculate where on earth the show may be taking us. I enjoy hearing possible scenarios as it gets me out of my own head and stops me from getting to stuck in one way of thinking. Wild speculation is always fun! I can’t wait for Dr. Nate to get into a physical confrontation with Devon for sleeping with Elena after Devon cleaned his clock for doing the same thing. What if this New York socialite, who is suppose to be a fearsome character, were to come to town searching his wife who decided she was still in love with Kyle? What if the baby Kyle fathered causes a rift between Kyle and Summer and she decides to sleep with this New York character as revenge? I am a fan of ALL of this EXCEPT, of course, any continued harassment of my clients SHADAM. They have waited long enough to be happy together! Rey and Chelsea can find happiness together. Faith can live with Nick and Phyllis—they seem to think they know what’s best for her—hey, enjoy those dramatic teenage years! Sharon and Adam have suffered enough. I want my happy payoff, many years in the making.

For, it is written that if the Grand High Gothic Queen does not attend the wedding of her nearest and dearest, the marriage is doomed, due to lack of black outfits, original songs and dorkiness.

Award for worst reaction to seeing your mother in law: Abby! What was that? Nina came from out of town & Abby was so cold. It may have been slightly different if Nina lived in town & you had just seen her 5 mins ago. I thought Nina & Abby were developing a warm relationship. Award for worst way to tank a s/l: to Y&R writers for Chance & Abby. They were so cute & in love. I am enjoying seeing Nate and Elena on a tropical vacation. It is always fun to see a new hotel room set as we don’t see them very often. It also makes up for us not seeing Victoria and NIkki in Hawaii.
I’m snowed in here in Illinois, so I really could have used a tropical vacation this week, but the U.S. didn’t get this episode. Oh well, I’ll look forward to Nate in a Speedo… next week maybe?
Sorry to hear that Ali. Hopefully you saw this episode now. Nate is not in a speedo, but Y&R was listening to your request of seeing Nate in a towel again! You will definitely enjoy these scenes!
The best part of the scene with Kyle and Theo was when Theo was explaining to Kyle how he had ran into Tara Locke in New York and then demonstrated how they air kissed. I found it to be so funny and memorable! I loved Theo’s cocky demeanor with Kyle as it was well deserved after how badly Kyle treated Theo before he left town.
I wonder if fan outrage had a role in bringing Theo back to town so quickly. Maybe he will be more of a recurring character with fairly frequent appearances. I hope so. As the pandemic wanes (fingers crossed) Tyler Johnson will be out auditioning—maybe he won’t be so available for YR down the road.
I think you’re right. A lot of fans wanted Theo back so this was a good way to bring him back as well as have a redo of Kyle’s original snoozer story about Zoe back in New York.
I am glad that Theo got the goods on Kyle. Kyle was so mean to him before he left town. Can’t wait to see how this plays out!
I loved the scene with Theo and Kyle! My favourite scene between Kyle and Theo since Theo made his first appeared on the show. I have been wanting to comment about this but did not want to spoil anything. I really liked how Y&R made the audience think Theo was only on the show for one episode with Sally at the coffee house. They did this by showing us Sally in the hallway at Jabot by herself and then entering the board room alone. FYI- I live in Canada and did not get a Victor tribute show today. The episodes carried on as normal. I know Canada gets the episode one day in advance but now I wonder if Canadian viewers are ahead another episode. Monday and Tuesday have been brand new episodes. I guess it will get pre-empted for us at some point to get back on proper schedule.
Monday thru Wednesday was new. And Wednesday’s episode has me believing that my divorce prediction is also coming true. Unless, that was a dream or somebody’s nightmare.
I only got a Monday episode here in Illinois. Tuesday and Wednesday were preempted and I’m guessing the rest of the week will be too?
Only Monday’s episode is online. I’m guessing they’re gonna take this opportunity to stockpile a few shows, since normally the preempted episodes would be available on CBS.com.
Update: Wednesday episode for me was a repeat.
I was curious tnicole what province you live in? It was disappointing that the synopsis for Y&R said they were new episodes but were not.
