Boring! It’s all very boring. YnR is loosing itself in useless dialogue and characters. I think Rey is one of the most boring of them all. By the way, does he have a bad case of Covid? I can’t think of any poisoning that would create a fever, but I’m no expert either lol.

I’m loving me some Ashland Locke. He brings a new energy to the canvas. I hope they keep his character around and develop him into a rival for either the Abbotts or the Newmans. I like the idea of him and Victoria becoming close. I hope the writers make theirs a “cat and mouse” relationship so they leave us entertained and guessing what will happen.

I voted love it! When you announced last week Ali, that it was this actor playing the part of Ashland, I was all in. I’ve seen this guy on a few other things and he can play a complete scumbag and still come off likeable to me. I hope they keep him around for awhile.

I voted to love it. Richard has always played seemingly nice guys on the surface with ultimately some swarmy, sleazy agenda and personality underneath. I’m sure Ashland will be a bit like that except apparently this time he doesn’t have to hide his villainous side as much. He was a cad on Desperate Housewives and a serial killer on GH. The other things I have seen him in he was often a bad guy by nature pretending to be good. He’s a good actor also. I want him to somehow end up with Victoria.

I remember a much younger “Ashland” in a different troublemaker role on Desperate Housewives back in the day. I wonder if he is ever cast as a good guy??? Seems not! I read he is on recurring status on YR, so perhaps we will see him on the front burner for a bit and then as needed?

Yes Yes, Yes – Y&R finally hit the nail on the head with this story, this character and this casting of Richard B. I hope that they do justice to the story, the character and the actor. He may be able to save Hal of the show – I saw Victoria show a side of herself that we need to see more of. I hope they make Ashland complex and layered and not a mustache twirling villain. The weak spot in the story is Kyle, the wife and the kid Harrison – once those are outed and dealt with I… Read more »

I am straddling the fence: if Ashland subjected to abject humiliation then I am all for him; if he swoons Victoria then I am all for him; if he is a Victor doppelgänger throwing his weight around then he can just see his way out the back door.

I second your emotions on this one Zoperxplex – sooo hoping they do this wonderful actor justice. Not liking the casting of his wife as I cannot see a man like him marrying someone that seems so blah

I feel sorry for Tara. She appears to be frightened, little, mynah bird locked up in a loveless marriage. Kyle could be her key to freedom.

I agree. I voted no but I understand the appeal of a power grab. And a possible love interest for Victoria if she ever gets over Billy. But do we really need another Victor? Although might be nice to see a knock down drag out power play between them
