Yes young faith just didn’t fit the story line.

I have enjoyed Faith as a tween but I honestly don’t mind seeing the actress move on and being replaced by a new fresh face. I would like to see a new actress play Faith as the same age. I do not want to see Faith aged as a young adult. We already have enough adults on the show but don’t we have any children that are Faith’s current real life age. I have never wanted Faith to be aged up and I still don’t. There is so much more to do with her character. I feel like we are… Read more »
My apologies, one more idea for Faith as a tween that I accidently deleted. Lets see Faith join the cheerleading squad, become popular and begin dating the star athlete of the school. That would really peeve Jordan as she trolls Faith social media page. Take that Jordan!

It’s a little insane to me. Soaps usually send kids away for a year or two and then they return with SORAS and voila they have aged 3-10 years but how can you age a character who has never left the canvas? Faith’s story was just getting interesting too. She is 14 and a Freshman in high school. They can use Moses and even Conner can home as a teenager. How about Mac and just’s kids? That would give us plenty of fun.

You know I really got used to the only Faith I know the one that is portrayed by Alyvia. And I really appreciate the job she’s done in the last few years(especially the last year). So of course I feel sad and against the recasting. But at the same time iI understand she’s got other pursues and projects and offers to attend to and explore her potentail. So … I guess it can’t be helped. I can’t jundge untill I get to know the “New” Faith 🙂

I voted no, I hate to see the actress go! I was so impressed with the fact that she had never been aged up like so many of the other characters on the show and it was nice to see her actually grow up. She is a terrific actress so I am not surprised that she is moving on. However, I am looking forward to seeing what will happen between new Faith and Moses
He is a cutie!

The assumption is being made that Faith is being aged from 14 to 18 with the hiring of the new actress. Faith is not returning from boarding school on April 12th 4 years older, she is just continuing on with her life from where she left off on the 9th when we last saw her. But let’s assume Faith is now older, which we have to do. I think Ali said it best when she pointed up how an awkward 14 year old is a lot more interesting to feature for the fact that we hardly ever get to see… Read more »
The new actress is older than the current one. But since there will not be too much time in between each being on screen, I don’t think they can age her up. They new actress will just probably play younger, than her actual age. Unless all of Y&R’s stories do a time jump.
But I for one will miss Alyvia Alyn Lind, after 10 years of watching her growth from a child actress to a young adult.
Agree. Ultimately the advanced age of the new Faith may come into play but for now she would have to be playing younger which should work out fine…

I just listened to the weekly chat. Good one. I comment about Mariah being hovered over and pampered at the mansion….I think maybe Abby will be too involved in every bit of everything Mariah does. She will comment on where she goes and for how long, and what she eats and drinks, and want to keep her there, maybe going a bid mad and possessive of Mariah. Almost, almost to the point of kidnapping. It might take a while, but Nina will be there to recognize what is happening, as it happened maliciously to her when she was pregnant. Abby… Read more »

I recently noticed how much current Faith looks like current Summer. They do look like sisters. Aging her and changing her hair color just makes her another teen, then an adult, boring same-old problems. I would have preferred the boarding school approach until she wanted to come back – like Nicolas way back when. He was off for years.

I’m not happy Faith is changing to someone a little older. The actress playing her now is perfect as Faith and I do understand if the actress wants out. She is great and will be in great demand. She will be missed
