The tribute to Neil was very nice and done differently than we have ever seen on the show. It was nice to see the flashbacks with Neil. Very sad story about Kristoff’s son and how Kristoff felt after his passing.
Yes, it was surprisingly refreshing. Very original, casual and sophisticated. Townies could wander through GC and remember Neil as they liked at certain points of interest. No speeches by anyone. But then the inevitable funerial framed portrait in the park at the end. Cool vibe which is just what Neil/Kristoff would have ordered.

This video for Chance is going to be like 40 hours long if he doesn’t come back soon. I really thought that Abby was going to kill Mariah or at least lock her in her room when she saw that she not only fell but literally injured herself. I’m so glad Devon was there to tame the craziness of Abby. Is it me or do you see more sparks with Devon and Abby than with Devon and Amanda or Abby and Chance?

Here is a twist for you Ali, if you see this, or anybody can play that hasn’t watched Monday’s show yet, don’t spoil it. Guess who says this on Monday “Please Jack, save me the parenting advice given how Kyle has turned out”

I can’t see Neil Winters without seeing Kristoff himself, gone way too soon, just so tormented over the loss of his son. Friday’s episode was beautiful. The cast was definitely missing Kristoff—they were so somber, real tears flowing. I might have caught some real feelings myself. I miss you Kristoff.

Oh my goodness I miss Neil! The love that the cast feels for Kristoff is so evident in their eyes. I wish Michelle Morgan could have been a part of the tribute episode. My heart goes out to Kristoff St. John’s loved ones. I like to think of him being eternally joyful on the other side with his son.

Sharon and Rey’s reuniting has not seemed believable to me. They are both saying all the right things and being uber-mature and wise w/ their soulful looks, yet while it seems they DO love one another, they don’t seem to be IN love with one another. The spark is missing. And speaking of sparks – I hope Sally Spectra gets a meatier storyline! Her character is starting to flounder around a bit. The actress is so gifted, and can give us much more than pining after Jack, pestering Kyle and Summer, and whining to her Grams. I’d like to see… Read more »
Yes—they need to find a real story for Sally. They should have paired her with Theo, could have continued the relationship with Jack—and now what? She just got nominated for a Daytime Emmy for this role while the rest of the cast (except Chelsea and ex-Faith) were snubbed. They need to give her something with teeth!
Bryton James(Devon) was nominated for Supporting Male. Marla Adams (Dina) is in the same category as Courtney Hope. But no one was nominated for Leading Male.
Right! I guess I forgot some because the nominations seemed out of left field for the actors who I thought really stood out. I didn’t watch what everyone submitted as their Emmy reel—so maybe that’s why I don’t get it. Plus the Emmys are for old stories—I don’t know what the cutoff date was for submission. Anyway—it’s ridiculous that Sharon Case NEVER gets recognized for her work on YR. Sally Soectra but not Sharon Newman??? C’mon. Marla Adams—that’s nice—but more of a lifetime achievement nod/special storyline. Folks may not agree with me—I just don’t see the names I would nominate… Read more »
I completely agree with you about the list of nominees. The Emmy Panel changed the nominating rules this year. And to me, it negated some of the actors that should have been qualified for nomination.
I think Courtney Hope was nominated for her Sally S. role from when she was on The Bold and Beautiful – she definitely had meatier storylines there (although they were bordering on the absurd near the end) .
So, Right about Rey and Sharon. They no longer match. Ashland and Victoria- A Big; YES!! Kyle-Back to being a pompous jerk. Summer should move on. Also, in total agreement about Sally-for some unexplained reason Y&R has choosen to turn her into a pestering whiner. Courtney Hope is too talented for that. The show seems to cater to their “pet” characters.

I thought this week’s episodes were really good. I think that Amanda and Imani are going to realize that there is a lot of dysfunction and lies in their family tree. I don’t think Sutton or the mom are being truthful. Why won’t Amanda’s father have known something about Naya’s pregnancy? It’s possible a friend of Naya”s told Richard. I absolutely believe what Victor told Amanda. I loved that scene. I’m glad Amanda believes him too. I think he might even be able to help her uncover the truth. I’m not sure if Chelsea is really not had a break.… Read more »
Lots of good comments there! I’m with you on most of it. But Chelsea is a grifter and a fake. They have turned her into a dangerous unbalanced wild card who will poison a person just because she’s jealous. It’s amazing what these characters try to blame on Adam. If it rains, it’s Adam’s fault. Chelsea should go to prison for attempted murder and framing Adam—but she won’t. Everyone feels sorry for her because she chose to climb around in an elevator shaft like she’s Spider-Man. Give me a break. Chelsea and Chloe should have adjoining prison cells—make that into… Read more »

This episode gave me tears and smiles. I really miss Neil. as an African-American viewer of Y&R I have always appreciated the Winters family’ and their representation of Black Americans. It was nice to see a Black man portrayed as a kind, smart, business person with integrity. Often times in television roles for Black people are marginalized to criminals, cops or do side helper friend. It is rare that the person is decent business person like the other characters on the show and given a full fleshed out family and storyline. I honestly have always appreciated that about Y&R. I… Read more »
The lady in the green dress has a name “Crystal”. I know you don’t like us mentioning her Ali, but this seems worth mentioning as we have never heard it before. Wouldn’t it be interesting if she was actually given a story line one day? Who could she be paired with?
They gave “the lady in the green dress”, the name of Tessa’s sister. Wow!! I guess that tells me even more, what TPTB, have in store for this character.
That’s true. I wouldn’t have remembered Tessa’s sister’s name. Good catch.

The way Kyle looks at Tara, it appears as though he is quite smitten with her. The other day when they were talking about their past affair at the mansion, they both seemed to have love in their eyes. Tara was telling Kyle how she doesn’t regret the affair with Kyle because she has Harrison because of it. Kyle looked so dreamy eyed at Tara after she spoke of the two of them creating Harrison together. I must admit, I loved seeing this as it adds drama and some excitement to Kyle and Summer’s relationship. Tara and Harrison are adding… Read more »

Today was such a nice episode. I loved how they played Neil’s playlist throughout the show. It was nice to have the characters talk to each other and just reminisce about Neil. I wonder if CBS will have Neil’s playlist available so we can enjoy the songs, I would really like that.

Sharod, Ali has already warned us once about never mentioning “the lady (worker) in the green dress” again!
