I have to wonder if Ashland Locke is playing everyone and is really plotting to acquire Newman Enterprises. Something to make you go, hmmmmmm.
I can’t believe they’re taking Summer and Kyle off the show!!!! That’s removing 2 of the best characters!!!
What the heck is Stitch doing!? Why is he spying on Mariah!? What does he want from them? Maybe he’s jealous because Abby is having a baby with Chance, but when the two of them (Abby & Stitch) were together, they didn’t have one.

Abbey finally finds someone she truly has on screen charisma with and his contract does not get renewed but signs a contract and brings stitch back…. I don’t get it. I been watching this show for 40 years now but no website to complain on back in the ol’ days. I tried, I really did, but I couldn’t restrain myself. Tessa and Mariah(Offically a couple for 4 years) haven’t had one talk about they’re feelings regarding the pregnancy and their own future. As a couple that would be a conversation they’d have. Mariah is carry Abby’s baby, sharing something so intimate, when they, as a couple, haven’t shared that. But once again Mariah only cares about Abby, and only Abby, while she rages at Tessa about taking out the garbage. SHAROD, I implore you to not over think the issue of Mariah screaming at Tessa to take out the garbage when it is not ever applicable. This has been known to happen in the best of families.
Gary, most times I agree with you about storyline assessment, but I must disagree with you now. I think it is applicable. Mariah has no right, rhyme or reason to scream at Tessa about anything. I mean really, she cheats on Tessa, claims she will put no one before her, then shuts down Tessa’s proposal, decides to have a baby for another woman and then asks Tessa to leave her home. I don’t seem to ever be able to hit the keys right. When I wrote “ever applicable” I meant EVEN applicable in referring to the fact that Tessa never need take out the trash or Mariah either as the mansion has several sanatioral engineers to do that job weekly. As Mariah noted… I thought it was funny. I know how much you love M&T and resent their not being given their due on the Y&R canvas. Always thought a Mariah/Abby relationship could be where we’re headed… certainly timely, and how”ground-breaking” to carry a same-sex couple past the relationship into a full-fledged family… Idk- has this been done on soaps before ?
Yes, SueW, it has been done before. In 2009, All My Children( Bianca Montgomery and Reese Williams) and in 2014, Days of Our Lives( Sonny Kiriakis and Will Horton).
But what is happening with Y&R’s current same sex couple of Mariah and Tessa, is not about making them a family. It is about providing a baby for a heterosexual couple.
Also, Y&R is not leading this storyline into making Abby and Mariah a couple. Not with the current regime. They are trying to get rid of the one they got.
Oh Gosh . I couldn’t just not to cry on Monday’s episode . The goodbye scenes between Kyle and Summer. It was so painful but at the same so romantic and tragic in a way not to mention emotional . Both great performances by those two!
I blubbered the whole time too.
When is Billie Abbott going to find out about Bella being his daughter? When she’s married with children

Because Bella is Kevin’s daughter. I believe that issue was settled by a DNA test.

How could Chloe have switched the DNA test? She was on the lam at that point and it was Billy who sponsored the test because he wanted to get to the bottom of this question and Chloe left a letter in which she revealed the fact that she was unaware as to who was Bella’s father.
I think you are right, handsome Ashland and Tara are in it together for a very easy takeover. Victor’s attention is drawn away after his contract was permanent of the media organization of Ashland’s company. Ashland is going to take Newman Enterprises from Victoria. Only thing is Nikki is on alert because Victoria isn’t forthcoming to Victor on her planned merger. That leaves Tara, the great manipulator. She has managed to draw the attention of every day business from Kyle, Summer, Jack, Victoria, Victor, Lauren, and even Sally. That leaves Nikki, Adam and Billy. I hope Theo turns out to be Harrelson’s father. This could all be his doing against Kyle.
I have been saying it from the beginning that The Lockes were in GC to take on The Abbotts and The Newmans.
Also, loved that comment Nikki made to Victoria about Ashland could be playing games and questioning if he was actually dying.

On the Topic of Victoria, I think she’s totally trying to play Ashland for a fool to get her hands on his company. She weasels out of every sexy attempt Ashland makes to take things to the next level. He’s got to be on to her and I highly doubt that he is terminally ill, she’s unwittingly playing a game she can’t win. I want Victor to bust the whole ruse wide open before Newman Enterprises gets swallowed up the the Loch Ness Monster.
Victor is too blinded by his hatred of Billy to help Victoria. Especially since Ashland sold his company to him. He said it himself he respects Ashland and he is a better man for Victoria than Billy.
Is it possible that Kyle will actually be the one to see through Tara? He seems quite disinterested in her brand of comforting. She may come on too strong and set off his alarm bells. This would give Kyle a chance too prove that he’s not just a handsome dolt that famously waffles from woman to woman. Maybe it’s true that Harrison is not his kid, or even Tara’s kid for that matter, and he can run away to Italy and be with Summer with no obligations to tend to in GC.
Kyle,Summer, and Sally roles have turned out to be an LMN movie. Please don’t let this linger on. Why haven’t Phyllis figured this tangle out? The same thing happened to her with Kyle’s mother. I really do hope it’s Theo’s Baby!
I would say this is unlikely of the handsome dolt but since it is being reported that Kyle is quitting Y&R over a contract dispute like the girlfriend (no official word from anyone) he needs to rap things up fast which certainly can’t be in Y&R’s plan. What you are suggesting with Kyle himself figuring everything out is what I think the audience wants to see! Oh, that’s such a bummer about Michael Mealor possibly leaving. But if that means Kyle can be with Summer, then I’ll take it! And then they both can come back in a year!
Maybe it isn’t true. Michael Mealor hasn’t said he is leaving but SOD is not one to make things up or report rumor as fact.
I am predicting and hoping, that Stitch kidnaps Mariah and Chance has to return home to save her. And to continue the drama, Mariah delivers the baby while captured and realizes she can not give it up and then we can have a custody battle between Mariah/Devon(remember he will always support Mariah) against Abby/Chance.
We need some drama, this storyline is too, too boring.
Maybe Stitch will lock Mariah away in the sound proof room that Ester had mentioned was a quiet place for NIna to work. I believe the mention of this room was foreshadowing that someone will be held captive in there. Stitch may then kidnap Abby to have her for himself. Chance will then have to save both Abby and Mariah possibly with Nina’s and Tessa’s help.
You’re sounding close to my theory. I think Stitch is the father of the baby. He has been keeping tabs on Abby every since he left GC. He is a doctor and he could easily switch the sperm donation tube. He’s lost his son to mental illness and this baby can replace him. He wants to make up for Abby’s lost too! WOW. But why would Devon be devastated if Stitch is the baby’s father? What’s it to him? He is but a sperm donor and should not be honing in on the Chancellor baby. This is quite outlandish but pretty good! Imagine if Chance Chancellor were to come back from the dead to his new baby boy that Stitch is claiming Stitch Jr. as opposed to simply being a sperm donor as was Devon. That theory is sensational. It helps to explain a lot of recent strange events such as the unanticipated reappearance of Stitch and why he is hovering over Abby and Mariah in such a sinister fashion.
I really do not want to see good guy Stitch go underworld in kidnapping anybody, unless of course he did it for altruistic reasons, like what would those be? The part about Mariah undergoing some intense ordeal to further bond with the baby so she is not able to give it up is interesting. Currently, she is well prepared to pass the boy on. I feel that Chance Chancellor’s spy plane needs to go down right now so that Stitch is given a reason to stay in Genoa City before heading back to Iowa tomorrow.
P.S. I see Nikki doesn’t distain Ben from the warm greeting she gave him!
Stitch is acting kind of perverty though. Casting shadows in a room and peeking through windows. I missed him stalking Mariah on my TV but see it captured in the Y&R screenshot for Friday. Maybe things are not as they appear to be.
A long term problem with the return of Stitch is that Max eventually comes with him. If he is now little more than a vegetable can he still do harm? Yes.
Perhaps Max inherited being psycho from the father only it hasn’t shown up in Sr. until now.
When Stitch asked Abby where is Chance and she told him that Chance is on a secret mission, I got the feeling that Abby just confirmed to Stitch that the FBI are into him.
Hey there Ali and Chatters, Has anyone out there heard the rumor that Michelle Stafford may be leaving Y&R? I read it on one of the soap sites.
Sharod I haven’t heard or read about this rumor. But I did read that Michael Mealor is set to leave Y&R. The article said that he and Hunter King were leaving because their contract negotiations stalled, no mention of Hunter leaving because of the pilot.
Also, I can see now why both Summer and Kyle truly looked hurt and heartbroken in last week and this week’s scenes. They were saying goodbye for real.
Summer has long been one of my favorites… but maybe YnR needs a break from the Kyle/Summer young love melodrama that has been going on in one form or another for what is starting to seem like an ETERNITY… That torch can be passed to Moses and Faith, and Summer and Kyle 2.0 could resurface later with a whole new, refreshing direction. Maybe not a bad thing…

Oh no! She is probably my favorite on the whole show… and that says a lot considering the whole talented YnR ensemble… No disrespect to the talented G.Tognoni, but M.Stafford embodies Phyllis. No one slinks in and eats up the scenery like she does, not to mention the intrinsic way she ekes emotion, humor, and innuendo out of every single word she utters. M.Stafford makes even the dumbest storylines seem interesting and relevant – she’s always either bringing the wicked fun or clawing mercilessly at our hearts.
I completely agree with your description of Ms. Stafford.
And how she can handle even the dumbest storylines and the show has quite a few.
