I notice it the most when they are sitting on the couch. It is very obvious they are keeping their distance.
I do notice it, but understand I want everyone safe. Many others have mentioned it more noticeable with certain characters. I notice it more with Sharon and Rey. They are not only standing many more than 6 feet apart often, but a piece of furniture is between them in many scenes which would call for closeness. At the beginning, it was more understandable the scene seemed awkward. Now it doesn’t seem as justified their separations are more obvious.
Why is it that Rey stands closer to Victor than he does to Sharon?Curious.
I agree, it is so obvious with Sharon and Rey especially when they did not hug or kiss in the scene at CL when Rey arrived back in town with Connor. Rey and Sharon keep their distance more than any couple!
I voted “No.” Well, certainly not on a daily basis. When YnR resumed filming after lockdown, I was so happy to have it back, I pretended -with great difficulty- that the GLARING social distancing wasn’t happening at all. Now that so many scenes do have characters in close proximity again, the distancing just doesn’t faze me anymore. Sure, I can definitely spot the awkwardness at times (i.e, Faith and Summer not even sharing a “good-bye hug” when Summer scooted off to Italy?), but it no longer pulls me out of the story. Just gotta go with it, right?
I voted yes, I notice the social distancing. It bothers me and internally I mention it multiple times to myself during each episode. I’m trying not to be judgey, but the social distancing, and lack of people in Crimson lights and Society at the same time is a bit ridiculous.
I voted yes, I notice it all the time. It may not have bothered me so much if I didn’t watch General Hospital. Over there, they never social distanced but for a while they didn’t show kissing and love making scenes. Now characters are kissing all of the time again and love making scenes are happening more than not. So being spoiled with that, it’s hard to watch Y&R and not see the stark contrast. I do hope that we can get back to normal over there soon because soaps are about feelings and romance and it feels like it’s… Read more »
What’s interesting and curious to observe is that depending on what day it is some people are on Covid restriction and some people are not. What’s good for the goose is not necessarily what’s good for the gander???
I definitely notice when it occurs between certain characters. Because there are times when it is not exercised. The show either needs to do it with everyone or noone. You are correct, you can she it more with Rey and Sharon(they were sitting at that huge table in Friday’s episode) as well as scenes with Mariah and Tessa. Besides these two couples. I believe, all the others have had an actual hook up or at least kissed on screen.
I haven’t really been paying attention since they started doing love scenes again ,but I guess some scenes are easy to do social distancing and others aren’t. Now that the Delta variant is so easy to get and pass on even if vaccinated may see less scenes close together again.
It is so noticeable because there is no consistency. Amanda and Devon were making out last week and now they don’t even touch each other when exchanging their first
“ I love you’s”. Some couples are all over each other and some still stay 6 feet apart. Perhaps not everyone has been vaccinated, but it makes the difference very noticeable.
Yeah I’m tired of the back and forth of it all too. I thought Lily and Billy were passed the plateau because we saw them being close and intimate more, now it’s back to the distance with them. It’s hard to go back to distance when we just seen the actors close a week ago.
