Being the first chatter to say it was Nina, I am going to stick with that even though it probably is not her. Her absence seems shady, which makes me think it is not really Nina, but someone we would never have thought of!

I think it was Abby. She wants complete control over Mariah and the baby. Abbys abandonment issues are exacerbated by Chances continued absence. That’s my guess

I think Stitch is too obvious now. I going with Ali, saying he is a red herring. I think it will be someone from Mariah and/or Tessa past.
It is going to be that “stalker guy” Jared. The one that threw the brick through the window at Crimson Lights. Yet ran out of CL, after that lame threat from Tessa to call the police. I still don’t understand why they didn’t call the police and give them his identity. Tessa took his picture. SMH!!

You know, Sharod, that is a pretty interesting theory… the way that “never much of a story anyway” was dropped, is the same way it could randomly be dropped in again…

I feel like it’s Colin for the money. How are they able to keep feeding her though? I feel she’s locked up in the Chancellor’s Mansion. So that would really make it someone who has knowledge and access to the mansion. So far there had been no real movement on this story this week.

I voted Stitch. I think this writing regime is not energetic enough to make him a red herring.

I voted Nina. Stitch is too obvious and Chance has no reason to justify doing it. How in the world is kidnapping a pregnant woman to protect her and the baby she’s carrying a valid, sane, safe or justified approach of safekeeping? Not a Chance move. Ian Ward would be soapy fun, but I don’t think THTB would be able to bring Ray Wise back with no casting info leaking to the fans. Nina might have gone batty in her absence and fully snapped wanting the baby for her own to make up for Ronan being kidnapped at birth. Or… Read more »

I voted “Someone else”, because I think it’s Chance AND Nina. Chance could have told Nina to kidnap Mariah, to keep her safe. From who? Stitch. Maybe Stitch has an agenda. Maybe he had a plan to destroy the surrogacy plans, because he was jealous that Abby was having a baby with Chance, and the both of them did not. This is my theory.

I”m goin’ w/Nina… she lured Mariah into the soundproof mansion room and locked her in. Idk why… hoping it’s for a “good” reason that makes Nina a heroine, but in keeping w/crazy soap stories, I suppose it could be for a “shocking” and sinister purpose. Why haven’t we had any indication from Mariah how she got there? Did she just suddenly wake up in a strange room w/no clue how it happened??

Good point! How did she get in there!

Because at this point the writers don’t know yet. Once they decide who is the abductor they will start giving the clues.
So, based on the time frame, we should get a real clue by next Monday.

Deduction – It is not a woman who has had a child because she would understand that an expectant mother needs fresh air, and low stress, not just vitamins and a bed. I think it is someone who wants the baby, and not revenge. I vote Chance. (Or maybe Nina working on Chance’s behalf) So still a vote for Chance. He is out there, and he wants to protect his unborn child, and doesn’t really know what that means, or how it would affect the carrier of it. Plus, they keep hinting that Chance is going to return, so we… Read more »

I think Nate is behind it and he’s the one lying about the job. He wants to get back at Devon for his hand.

Ahahaha, I love this! Yet another character having psychotic behaviors due to a traumatic injury! Or illness… or amnesia… or whatever. LOL, not voting for Nate, but this is fantastic!

My first guess is Stitch. He was snooping around the mansion.,lied about the job Nate got and he is a doctor and Mariah is being well taken care of. But I also thought she could be held in the soundproof room in the mansion. Maybe he heard Nina talking about the room and some how got her in there unless Nina is helping him! Why would they even mention there is a soundproof room and not use it in this storyline ?
