I hope Travis realizes that those little elevator cameras still operate even with the lights off.
Kudos today to the Party Dept. at Y&R. Nice job on the decor for the birthday celebration. Interestingly, according to the ever-reliable internet, the actual birthday of the actress who plays Faith is tomorrow, although the episode was probably taped a while back.
Off topic…
I’ve been tuning in to Too Close to Home, featuring Kelly Sullivan, our beloved Sage. My comment is not about the show, but about Kelly Sullivan. She is an amazing actress and shines in her new role. They’re lucky to have her.
CBS: “Life In Pieces fans should expect to see a lot more of Tyler (played by Niall Cunningham) and his new bride, Clementine, because actress Hunter King will be joining the show as a series regular for Season 2, which premieres on Thursday, October 27 at 9:30/8:30c. What does this mean for King’s role as Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless? The actress will still recur on the daytime drama.”
She is REALLY good in this role. High school Cali “cool girl”. Likable. She’s on the periphery, but in a fun way.
I like to make a number of comments concerning today’s episode: First, asking Hilary to host “GC Buzz” is like waving a shot of bourbon in front of an recovering alcoholic. Second, I know that the milieu of daytime drama consists of protagonists falling into and out of relationships, but, from my point of view, I am not looking forward to seeing a budding Chelsea and Nick romance. Unfortunately, that is the way it appears the show is heading given that in today’s episode we witness the use of that tried and true plot device of employing an irresistible little… Read more »
I strongly agree with you Zoperxplex. Your entire comment in right on point. It’s actually not fair to us, as viewers, to see Chelsea find love again so soon. It hasn’t happened yet, but it will. Then of course, once Nick and Chelsea dedicate themselves to loving each other… The new Adam will arrive on scene to throw the proverbial monkey wrench into Chelsea and Nick’s new life.
It is also quite possible Sandra, that bringing these two lovebirds together will be the initiative to exposing the Sully/Christian switch as you have suggested. Under this scenario Nick and Chelsea, after finding love in each other’s arms, discover that Sully is actually Christian, sparking Nick to try to retrieve custody of Christian. Whereupon Chelsea finds herself having the unfortunate duty to inform Nick that Adam is the real father. These complications notwithstanding, little consequences will ensue because both Sage and Adam are gone and the auspices through which this information was revealed was through Victor because Victor knows everything… Read more »
Brilliant.
Most of it happens to be your theory.
You’ve eloquently captured something that happens regularly on the program – this time around it involves Nick and Chelsea.
In many ways, the concept of time always seems very elastic in Genoa City: days can seem to last forever or pass in an instant, seasons are a bit out of sync with the rest of Wisconsin, and emotional clocks seem to tick much faster.
Not to dwell on your point, “Where is the unrelenting expressions of lamentation and woe we should anticipate from Chelsea following the lost of the love of her life?”, but… where is it? A day of tears at the memorial service, a few outburst at co-workers and a rejection of Nick’s help seems to be it. Everyone grieves in their own way of course, but don’t we as viewers deserve to witness Chelsea’s grief over her great loss? Perhaps a scene late at night when everyone is asleep, sitting on the couch clutching Adam’s shirt and sobbing, or the classic… Read more »
I hate Billy. There, I said it! He is so unlikeable. I can’t stand him. And I used to love him! When Billy Miller played, he was one of my favorite characters. But this interpretation of the character has nothing but unlikeable character traits. Ew. He just disgusts me. Even the way he talks makes my skin crawl!
You’ve got a good point, Robbie. Billy used to be one of my favorites, too. The character was a scalawag, but good-hearted, funny and self-effacing. This incarnation is glowering and angry and has no redeeming qualities.
I’m liking Travis right now. He’s understated in a way that is very appealing. He knows the deal, yet he feels no need to flaunt it. They’ve only scratched the surface with the Travis character, and I’m getting the impression he’s going to be playing a major role in the future.
I just watched the This Is Us premier, and it is awesome, Justin Hartley was awesome! I’m pretty dang sure we will not be getting him back as Adam, bummer for Y&R fans, but wonderful for Justin! I am officially a fan of This Is Us. Now on to my hopes for Adam Newman, dare I say an MM return is in the works, I sure hope so!!!!
That show is going to be popular. Good for him.
The first episode was brilliant. Was not expecting the ending. And then the second episode had a surprise ending as well. Justin Hartley does a great job.
Maybe in the future Billy and Victoria will get together and work together at Brash and Sassy with Cane and Lily. Have the two couples work together and get Lily out of the club. Plus could have great conflict between them especially between the two brothers.
