It is Friday. I haven’t voted yet – because this pairing is more balanced. Both Victor and Billy are equals. They both have verve, a passion, a debonaire appearance. They each say first and foremost, they do everything for their family, and we believe them. They are dedicated and honest, unless they can slyly manipulate situations to their own gain. They are both ruthless. Their backgrounds are different, but each is a dark horse of their surroundings. They love women. They love their children. They are adversarial and justify all their actions. Victor is old-school, and in old-school soaps got… Read more »

I voted Victor! Tyrant though he may be, almost everything he does is for love of Family! Billy is basically a spoiled, whiney vindictive brat! Besides, Victor has some genuine power that he worked and scraped and sometimes schemed for. Billy is a “wannabe”.

I voted Victor. First of all, he is Victor Newman! But I am finding Billy constant need to push things too far annoying. He brought Gaines to Italy which was inappropriate and then throw around accusations that Adam killed the man he brought to Italy in the first place. He even dragged a Rey into this with no proof on what Adam or any Newman did! The Newman’s had to deal with Gaines during Victoria’s wedding because Billy brought him. Also Billy is falling right into Victor and Adams trap because they know he is so predictable and I think… Read more »

Spot on, tnicole, you make great points, and I really can’t dispute or defend any of them. (Idk, props to Billy that he ultimately DIDN’T interrupt/ruin the wedding?) Still Idk… he’s just such a mess I love seeing in the thick of things. And yeah: VICTOR NEWMAN- pretty much always- game, set, match … but I reallllllly love when he gets one-upped (or at least royally irritated, which Billy does to him so well). I guess in that way Billy is an underdog – but I want to think of him as a more worthy and formidable force to be… Read more »

BILLY. Not even sure anymore why Victor has him in his crosshairs once again, excepting that it’s V’s relentless BBoy vendetta. Maybe just ignoring Billy/ChanceComm would rankle more than any set-up. Competition to Newman Media: does/will bad publicity really hurt the Newmans and Ashland in the long run? (Idk- is there a statute of limitation on that will-changing thing? And Ashland’s gonna die anyway, or at least could share regrets w/ gracefully dying “fighting spirit” to garner sympathy.) Billy believes he’s onto a relevant story, and has passed the point (if it ever was) of trying to stick it to… Read more »

I concur with everything you stated. I voted for Billy too. I know that most Chatters have voted for Victor. But personally I am tired of the Controlling Bully always winning. For all of Billy’s flaws and faults, I don’t equate his misdeeds with Victor. Victor has lived his life as the wizard of his kingdom and feels that everyone is a chess piece that he can move around at this leisure and get his way. I think it angers and frustrates Victor that he has not been able to control Billy, like he has with his family members. To… Read more »

Another landslide for you, Ali, with VICTOR. I don’t think you will be dealing with the shock factor as you apparently were with Billy vs Adam. And with Vic coming out on top here its just how you like it. While Victor has done worse things than Billy could every dream up in 40 years tip your hat to Victor as the machiavellian master with Billy trailing behind as sociopathic dumb ass. Always a method to Victor’s madness and good thing I can’t remember 79.5% of what he has done. As Victor will tell you he is a self made… Read more »

The thing is, you may not consider Billy Foster Abbott to be an underdog. But to me knowing from the day that Jill decided to get pregnant and keep the baby against her husband’s wishes. And how his siblings treated him. I see Billy more like the Lost Boys in Peter Pan. Yes, Billy maybe considered sexy by some of the Chatters, but I see him more of a lost soul still trying to find his home and his own.

I do too, Sharod (as well as seeing him as a quite sexy one, lol). I think he’s tried/trying so hard to have Lily fill that niche… It seems “on paper” that that relationship s/finally be his “home,” but I don’t think it’s the end game for his happiness. He continues “dancing as fast as he can” w/her, but I’m afraid she’s destined for a Billy Abbott heartbreak

Oh, jeez, Sharod, absolutely true. Hadn’t thought of it like that. I’ve actually made your point with my comment. Because BFA (strip him of the name Foster, it does not suit him – I’m bitter and Jill certainly didn’t want it for herself!)) wasn’t wanted (that’s just me popping off and not completely true) he is a lost boy = underdog in sympathy circles. Only I suppose I just refuse to care the character is so dark, hiding around corners in spying on his supposed enemies that he created for himself. Yes, yes, Sally Spectra does the same but you… Read more »

Victor Newman built this show from the ground up! I could never side with Billy Boy the punk over the iconic Victor—despite Victor’s many flaws. Billy is a sad, angry, floundering man-child. Ugh.

That can not be true. The first families of GC is The Brooks and The Fosters. I still love the dynamics of the show when it basically focused on family life. Victor is and always will be, in my opinion, a controlling, manipulating bully. Who really doesn’t care about anyone if they are not his family. And sometimes, even they are fair game.

I agree whole heartedly! I love Eric Braden but hate Victor Newman… I often desire for him to be ‘one-upped’. Be proved wrong, feel humiliation. He is a devious, scrupulous, imoral man most of the time. I don’t believe he wants & does the best for his family. I think he wants control of them & is only supportive of them if what they want iz in line with his thinking bc he will & has gone to great links against them if they want something outside his thinking. He wants CONTROL…He should be kept at the ranch & out… Read more »

I picked Billy, I don’t approve of his methods or his obsession with Victoria?/Ashland but I can’t stand Victor. He won’t stop until he decimates Billy and Chance Com. And now he has Adam doing his bidding too.

Victor! Always Victor! I’ll be damned if Billy Boy gets my vote.

Even though I absolutely hate Victor, in this case, I have to side with him. Billy is like gangrene at this stage. You either sacrifice that part of your body or you allow the condition to fester until it kills you.

I choose Victor Newman 100% Victor isn’t exactly picking on Billy. For the most part, Billy doesn’t even exist to Victor. But Billy continues to poke the bear. You get him riled up, the bear will attack. Victor and Nikki warned Billy to stay out of their business. But Billy kept coming. Billy Boy earned this payback!

Billy’s bottom line? He is looking out for Victoria as no one else is.
