I really like the new Chance. He definitely makes me want to tune in to the show and I look forward to watching his new journey in Genoa City. His whole life has completely changed as he now has a son and hasn’t really experienced being a married man to Abby. He has a new life now in Genoa City. For the past year he has lived undercover as a different person in a foreign country. He has been through a very traumatic experience and lost people he cared about. This story line has me intrigued to see how Chance… Read more »

Chance seems lost in his home, but he seems to really like his (not-bio) baby. Mariah seems to not fit back into her life any more, but she really loves her (not-bio) Bowie. Abby and Devon (bio parents) think they know what’s best for him…so what if there is a baby battle with teams Mariah/Chance and Abby/Devon?

So far, I like him a lot. I agree w/Heather that he has a different energy than the last Chance (sorry, don’t remember the others much), but I was never a fan of that one. And granted, this back-from-the-dead hero has a much different story than the grinning newlywed we last saw. This new actor (kinda reminds me of Bradley Cooper in American Sniper) brings a brooding character struggling w/what his return to normalcy looks like- or should look like. He seems natural in the role and a good fit w/M.Ordway. Early Thumbs-up!

New Chance ought to work out fine. Truth is the character was never that well defined so this actor can kind of slip in and make Chance his own better than other actors when they take over popular characters. Danny/Donny had a kind of Disney prince fantasy quality to match Abby’s sparkle that this actor doesn’t have. He does look young and seems nieve with Abby a possible mother in his time of emotional crisis, but people will get used to him as they have Adam. This actor seems kind befitting Chance, but did Danny/Donny call all his bros, “Hey,… Read more »

Today’s episode had Abby dressed to the nines for Chance’s welcome home party but he looked his usual scruffy self. Chance has always been portrayed as the boy next door type. Why don’t they give him a haircut and shave, However, his acting is well done but he still gets a thumbs down from me. They should bring back Donny Boaz. I thought he was perfect for the part.

I am not a fan of new Chance. I think he looks extremely young and has a very different energy than the previous Chances. He also is not a great match with Abby. He looks a lot younger and just seems to lack life experience which seems to be the crux of Chance.

I hope they rekindle Chance’s close friendship with Adam. Both characters would benefit from that added dimension. Chance will need someone to talk to other than Abby and Nina. Plus it would challenge Abby’s simplistic & negative view of Adam. Oh, and maybe I just want to watch scenes with Adam and new Chance being handsome together. Winter is long here in Maine.

Yes, agreed with all you’ve written. Also, Adam needs a friend to hang with once in while, not just Sally. Although if the show wants to make Nick and Adam more like friend-brothers, I’m definitely okay with that.

Yes! Why have they backed off of Adam and Nick getting along? So frustrating! It was refreshing to see that change.

Not sure he fits in with the ever troubled uppity class of Genoa City, but I’ll give him a thumbs up for the time being.

I am indifferent to him in a positive way at present so will be casting my vote in 3 – 5 weeks. Will the poll still be here or does the Y&R Chat machine move on?

According to Wik****ia, there have been 17 actors play the role, with only four adults. Of those, this one is fine. The writing has been unremarkable for this character from an original prominent family.
