I liked seeing Ester this week as we have not seen her in quite a long time. I am still holding out hope for a romance with her and Jack as I mentioned in my predictions for this year. Maybe it’s not too late! Jack told Phyllis this week that he didn’t want to start up a relationship with her again after all of the heartbreak he has endured with her. I was quite surprised by this, but also very impressed by Jack’s awareness to follow his head rather than his heart when it comes to Phyllis. Therefore, I am… Read more »
I’d prefer to see Gloria and Jack together. Gloria brings out the best in him. She leans close to him and maybe flips her hand at him with a dismissive manner and that brings a different side of jack. He sometimes looks a little flustered. He acts differently when Gloria is close by and that’s a nice change.
Perfect! You have been paying close attention! Yes, Gloria makes Jack come alive!

Ali, you’re so right about the high school English teacher…lol. I never would have thought that until you said it. The turtlenecks are what do it. I like that Y&R is dressing new Chance like the old one as it makes him feel like they are the same person. I don’t know if we have seen that with other characters. Chance’s wardrobe being the same as old Chance is definitely noticeable. He has a 70’s look that makes him stand out.
Great point I hadn’t especially processed. That is a big help. It is something. And yes, don’t know that they usually do that with other characters.

I appreciated the scene where Chance left the party for a few minutes to get some fresh air outside of the Grand Phoenix. It is these little details that make his character feel realistic. It was a glimpse into how Chance’s trauma in Spain has affected him. He was feeling overwhelmed by the presence of everyone together at the party and felt the need to get away from it all for a few minutes. I felt like this scene was a reminder of all that Chance has been through on his mission and that there is definitely more reminders to… Read more »

Billy really had Adam fooled with his apple juice beverage at the bar the other day. This was a clever move as apple juice is the same colour as whiskey. Billy really meant it when he said Adam was just the person he wanted to see. The apple juice must be good because Billy even ordered another one after Adam left which wasn’t even necessary at that point…lol…although we know it was done for the audience sake to let us know he wasn’t drinking alcohol.

Just catching up with the show after a busy week. Looking forward to Ali’s fun chat and reading everyone’s comments on here. Always a pleasure. I really liked seeing the new addition to the Grand Phoenix hotel lobby. We saw a different view that we have never seen before at Chance’s welcome home party. It now feels complete as we never got to see the right side of the hotel on our tv screen before. We now got to see the wall and decor of that side of the hotel as well as the big ballroom doors. It is these… Read more »

* Just because Noah Newman has reached adulthood doesn’t mean his Shephard’s costume from The Nativity of years past would have completely fallen apart in storage. That is ridiculous, Sharon. * Outside of being a bit skittish Chance Chancellor was not acting oddly in his meeting with Mariah & Tessa at his forced Society lunch date with the high maintenance but good hearted wife. A lot of us don’t like to socialize. Chance actually reached out to extend his appreciation & concern for Mariah for all she went through in producing THE baby. That kid is finally so cute no… Read more »
That Devon is really dogging Chance, trying to throw a net over him so he can take his kid.

Just finished the week and am now on board that something is waaaaay off w/new (and umm, smoldering) Noah. I thought the Chat talk was maybe reading too much into that, but noooooo. I hope the writers go bananas: this actor could run w/subleties to give a son no one knows but think they do. Rather than just an i.e. scarred-by-life (Stitch) or brain tumored (JT) issues explained and/or “curable,” let’s explore the wake of a core, adult family member actually be a bad seed, point-of-no-return psychopath. I’m hoping by next week Sharon has added holiday decorations to Crimsom Lights. It would be nice if she refreshed the pastry cabinet too. A few decorated sugar cookies would add some holiday spirit.
Yes, please! Sharon and Crimson Lights usually do bring the season- counting on it! Wow, I just now noticed the coffee-cup shaped window on the swinging door between the shop and the backroom. Great decor, esp. for seeing characters through it- like Nick this very week. (Idk, maybe it’s always been there and I’m just late to the party, lol.)

Soooooo………Is Y&R really going to have Ashland’s cancer diagnosis turn out to be a hoax after all? The fallout would be spectacular of they go there.

I noticed that Tessa’s smile dropped for a second when she saw how Noah was looking at her and Mariah, when they walked into the coffee house. I am wondering if she is picking up on a vibe that Noah may want to be more that just friends. And the way that he was looking at them when Tessa went over to kiss Mariah. Not good man, not good. I also thought it was a strange exposition to have Mariah leave the room and have Tessa go after her to give her the kiss. It would have played better if… Read more »
Tension is in the air for sure. It’s not clear who sees it and who is pretending they don’t see it. It seems like Sharon has witnessed enough to see what’s up.
This will definitely lead to something. Noah and Tessa could end up together, there could be a sibling rivalry between Mariah and Noah…

Hey Devon, chill out and keep you nose out of other people’s affairs for once. You sound like a psychotherapist eager to send everybody to the looney bin on the slightest excuse.
I agree. Devon giving sage advice to GC residents has him thinking he has his finger on the pulse of the town. Amanda was right to downplay his concern. Devon is react to his feelings for Dominic and seeing things which are not there.

Noah’s equanimity is astonishing. She dumped for Mariah Noah, remember?
I believe this is all an act. No one is that accepting of their ex after finding out that they never loved you in the first place. Especially when they were writing songs and making out with your sister, while they were supposedly your girlfriend. Noah can not actually believe he has a shot with Tessa. Based on the look of his face on today’s episode. He either plans to gas light Mariah and make her think something is going on between him and Tessa or he is going to do something bad to Tessa.
Maybe Noah had to leave London because he got all creepy weird on a girl who tried to leave him, and now he’s gonna become all creepy and weird w/Tessa until his Therapist mother can save him from himself. But the recent Stitch story (bleh, not my fave) had enough of that stalker stuff already, and GC now has plenty of townies w/ their own psychological issues… and… Chelsea’s about to join the crazies mix… is Noah gonna be one too?
Happy Birthday to your daughter Ali. Hope you both have a fun day and that her 5th birthday is just as fun as her 4th.
5?
