Does Ashland have any actual title with Newman Locke? He’s on the board with Newman Media, but I don’t recall anything about a day-to-day working position. And yet, he’s adding in the sports division, commenting on the Newman Media contact, and as we saw last week, orchestrating poor Regina’s ouster. Looks like the Locke-Ness monster is about to come back to form now that the marriage has taken place and all the pieces are on the board, and I, for one, am ready for this!
I enjoyed seeing Sharon get jealous when she saw Rey and Chelsea sitting together at the coffee shop. Chelsea made a point of saying out loud how nice it was to have someone genuinely care for her well-being. Now Sharon is getting a little taste of her own medicine. Rey has to see and hear Sharon talk about memoires she shares with NIck and their family. Now Sharon knows how Rey feels. Sharon is not doing anything wrong towards NIck. . The book is outdated but has recipes for the restaurants that once existed in Genoa City. It also has memorabilia and photos of the characters on the show. One of the restaurants mentioned in the book is the Lodge which I do not recall. I know you like to cook Ali, so maybe you will find a recipe that you will enjoy. I think the concept is a good idea. I did some research on the Lodge and apparently it was a restaurant and hotel in Genoa city. Victor took Ashley there and told her her had feelings for her and wanted to spend more time with her in the future and it was the restaurant where Michael Baldwin first saw Lauren with Paul. Not sure if any chatters remember this restaurant?
I immediately went to Ebay to buy this.

Dear Ali and Y&R chatters, It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of my beloved father this week. He was a great dad and husband and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a gentle kind soul who loved to make people laugh. He lived a long full life, as he was 92 years of age when he passed. I will miss him immensely, but take comfort in knowing he is finally at peace. Dianna, I am so sorry to hear about your dad.
Dianna, please accept my sincere condolences on your father’s passing. No matter the age, losing a parent is a pivotal moment in one’s life. You said your father lived a long life, and I’m certain he was a wonderful man, just look at you.

I want to punch Victoria’s lights out! Will she never learn to be careful when dealing with the old man? By the way, her roll in the office hay with Ashland bothered me. Really strange and I think she used that to distract Ashland. She gives women a bad name, that’s cheap. I’m not liking Victoria at the moment.
Billy, Billy, Billy! Please just once walk into an establishment and greet Adam with a pleasant nod as if he’s a casual acquaintance and move on! His ridiculous attitude about his situation is infuriating. His little woman lily is a “smashing success” at her new job? Really? And Billy is just the best little subordinate lily has ever had. Sure, I’m a big fan of soaps and I’ve suffered through idiotic stories. It’s the way stupid is written that keeps the fans hanging on. We will hang on through a lot of stupid if it’s well written. I’m only now watching yesterday’s show but your post already enrages me. All Billy’s magnanimous talk about the little woman being a “smashing success” at her job! Give all the gushy praise a rest. We get it. You know you are just burning with jealousy inside soon to bubble to the surface. Sharod is very taken with the “sexy'” of Billy. Indeed he is too sexy for his shirt. Billy is all glitter. Gary I watched the Friday show a second time and was even more irritated with the scene with Adam and Billy. Billy is a screwup and will soon be out on the street looking for yet another job. Lilly the Silly is also on my last nerve. Lower your hemline lily, you aren’t running a modeling agency now.

Again – Billy is ruining my day and Adam’s. Even as Adam is polite and dismissive to his jabs, BIll keep pushing. Well Billy I now Lily; problem so I hope Adam keep ignoring him. When Adam asked Nick “How are the kids?”, I was once again reminded that Uncle Daddy (Hello Claws – iykyk) Adam never shows any interest in his bio child (Cristian) over there being raised by Nick. Instead of exploring this goldmine (or even Chelsea’s bio child being raised by Victoria), Y&R goes with the convoluted story of Devon demanding rights to a child he should have no claims to AT ALL. Christian’s Mother name is Sage. And your point about the story being there for the taken is so accurate. It seems that this team just want to destroy the legacy of Y&R.
Perhaps Noah’s feeling for Tessa weren’t so deep when they dated. But people can fall in love in an instant and maybe that’s what’s going now. He’s falling in love, or has fallen in love now.
Sorry, I don’t buy it. And for his pain to be on display all over what should be a joyous time for Tessa and Mariah, is just wrong. T&M have put 5 years into this relationship through some tough times. But the writers are once again making what should be about them, all about a man’s pain that has not been in Tessa’s orbit for 4 years. It is WRONG, on so may levels. This isn’t even drama. It is boring and offensive. If they want conflict and drama. They should bring Tessa’s troubled family into the show.
Sharod, I agree with you. Everything on the show is wrong these days. I was grasping for straws with Noah theory trying to come up with a new scenario as to what is going on with him and Tessa. I deleted 11 episodes from my DVR recently and I rely on you and the rest of the Chatters as a barometer as to whether or not I should use my budgeted time to tune in. I don’t know how deep Noah’s original feelings for Tessa went but as I always like to point up that romance for the most part was completely conducted off camera. It was not portrayed as the love story of the century. I can’t break it down step by step but wonder if it was but a quickie set up for the Mariah/Tessa coupling to come?
When the character of Tessa(first called Ivy), was introduced, she was meant to be only for Noah. Tessa was concepted to come into GC and basically do a Chelsea move and then leave town. But Mal Young saw the chemistry between Camryn Grimes(Mariah)and Cait Fairbanks(Tessa), so he decided that since he had always wanted to do a same sex relationship on the show, these two were it. So, basically there was not that much on screen or off screen romance going on between Tessa and Noah. Most of the time it was T&M together. Especially during the whole, sex trafficking… Read more »

-Yes Phyllis! Please take that job in Milan. Bye gurl.
-I really don’t miss Summer and Kyle at all.
-If we keep Phyllis, Summer and Kyle in Milan permanently (ish), can we get Theo back from Paris????? Pretty please?????? I do miss him.
The are some very popular opinion over here in my household Ellen! Except I have to say I was NOT keen on Theo. He was annoying – but maybe with Kyle and Summer out of his sight, he may be able to charm me – so with a change of heart, I’ll second you on them bringing him back!
I must object. I miss Kyle and Summer. Y&R failed us letting them go. They were a young hot couple from both legacy families. This show will die out, if there are no younger cast members to carry on. As for Phyllis she makes me laugh.
I guess Kyle & Summer were a young hot couple but I sometimes saw them as two dweebs.
I miss Kyle and Summer too and would love to see them back, though I agree some time away has helped lessen some of the story’s previous missteps with Lola. For a while, Kyle was the biggest waffler in GC, and considering how often Nick has gone back between Phyllis and Sharon, that’s saying something. Oddly enough, I despised Summer for years; it was only until her return to GC in the stolen sports car that I started to get on board with the character. (Still waiting for that to happen with Melissa Ordway’s Abby.)
I agree 100%. I was really tired of Kyle and summer. Phyllis is entertaining but she has no story except apparently with Jack so I’m not that interested. I thought Leo brought so much to the show. He had a unique style, his chain or pocket watch draped from suit jacket pocket. His way of making eye contact with people, and nobody smoothed his hair back like Theo!
Did Y&R just tell us the direction they are actually going in the story with Mariah saying Grandpa Nick? It should have been Grandpa Rey-because Sharon, her Mother, is married to Rey and Nick is not her Father-he has not ever really treated Mariah like a Daughter. Are these writers confused themselves and mixing up Cassie with Mariah? But then again I have been questioning the sanity of these writers for awhile now.
Yeah that didn’t make sense to me either. She’s always been cool with Nick but I never got a father/daughter bond with them. I feel like Mariah has bonded either on the same level or more with Sharon’s other husbands including Rey and previously Dylan than she has with Nick. Since Mariah has been on the show I don’t think Sharon has got back with Nick and had it stick longer than a year so for Mariah to say grandpa Nick was bad writing. I know they are hinting at Nick and Sharon and Jack and Phyllis but I really… Read more »
Actually, since the character of Mariah was introduced back in 2014, Nick and Sharon have almost gotten married twice. In 2015 and then again in 2018. Mariah lived with Nick and Sharon during each of those times. Not sure you were watching but Mariah actually tried to seduce Nick, before they found out that she was Sharon’s daughter. That scene between Sharon and Mariah was amazing.
Is Adam spirit animal a hedgehog? I’ve noticed a black and gold prickly object on his desk. Could be a grouping of pens. Or, is it his spirit animal in impressionistic form?
