At that point, I say “No.” I don’t consider not relaying all your outside convos to your sig.other as keeping secrets… That convo was very vague, and as Ali and Gary say- Noah downplayed it. He didn’t even say “when you’re IN love w/somebody etc.,” just that “when you LOVE somebody, etc.” Yes, semantics, but that could have also been meant as genuinely caring for someone in a non-romantic (or creepy, lol) way. Tessa did not know what we the viewers did. Also, Noah was drunk. I don’t buy the adage of “the truth comes out when you’re drunk”… more… Read more »

sueW, you made the point of vwhy Tessa needed to tell Mariah. Noah WANTED TO downplay it. But clearly he made Tessa feel uncomfortable. And her body language presented as such to Mariah, whenever she mentioned Noah’s name. Since, the past lives in the present. Tessa could not keep this information to herself. Noah is the one in the wrong here. Tessa owes him nothing. She wanted a friendship with him. He is the one that was giving long creepy gazes and stares at Tessa and Mariah. In my experience alcohol, has on more than one occasion allowed a person… Read more »

I get what you mean. I don’t think it was wrong of Tessa to tell Mariah, although I don’t think it was necessary or had even warranted being much of a “secret” to be kept. Esp. as I never thought Tessa had picked up on anything being off before. But kudos to her for not pushing down her discomfort. Noah’s exchange was odd and just didn’t seem to me as enough to set off alarm bells. It would have stirred more drama had it been a direct confession, or even a sloppy come-on, but it’s just playing as “eh” to… Read more »

I voted Yes Tessa should tell Mariah about Noah. There should be no secrets between them. Noah is the one making sad eyes at Tessa, she is totally committed to Mariah and their upcoming family together

Ali, I’m going to go with just what you ultimately said. Noah is a private person and because he tried to defuse a situation where he exposed himself in a vunerable moment, unless things escalate I think Tessa should respect Noah and not embarrass him with what he does not want as a town discussion. No harm has been done at this point. Noah did expose his feelings to Tessa, but then quickly tried to defuse what he said wanting no further discussion so while his declaration of love was made pointed it was also somewhat ambiguous and left unexplored.… Read more »

No, Gary, Because of Tessa’s past of keeping secrets she can not afford to not let Mariah know that she knows, Noah has feelings for her. Especially since Nick and Sharon already know. Even though Sharon thought it was cute, with her comment to Nick. “Oh, looks like Noah is falling in love with Tessa, again”. I mean really. Like he is a 12 year old with a crush on his teacher. And not wanting to talk about it, is just Noah not wanting to hear Tessa tell him the truth, that he doesn’t have a chance. Guys like Noah… Read more »

People like Nick & Sharon may “know” (actually they do know) but that is but their assumption. Noah has made no declaration of love at this point to anyone. Telling Tessa “when you love someone you want them to be happy” is different than saying, ‘I am in love with you’ even though the audience knows it to be true and same. People should leave Noah alone and not gossip about him in this immediate moment. I get the point that Tessa can not afford to keep secrets but she needs for Noah to take things one step further before… Read more »

Gary, there is no assumption on Nick’s behalf, Noah actually admitted it to him. And then had the nerve to ask Nick, “you don’t think Mariah noticed, do you”? Then Nick and Sharon had the discussion about it. It’s okay for Noah to want what he can’t have. After all, it is a Soap Opera. But sadly, as you noted, Tessa thought that Noah was her friend, unfortunately he wants more.
And Tessa telling Mariah makes the drama between brother and sister. I am here for that.

Ali, Y&R already answered your poll question, with their promo. I don’t understand why this show doesn’t let things regarding Tessa and Mariah be a surprise. They spoiled both proposals for the viewers, too. But then again I actually do. Sadly. Also, to answer your question about T&M. The last time that T&M had an even implied love scene was on The Jet Plane, back in March 2020. Pre pandemic. Return from break-Tessa was not even on the canvas. The writers had her off on tour for months, while Mariah was in everybody else’s business. Then when they brought her… Read more »

I like Mariah & Tessa but I don’t take their characters that seriously or am that invested in them because I don’t see them as real which I think is one of your points. Not that any of the other characters are either. There is a lot of fun, sparkle & gloss, mostly. Mariah & Tessa have for the most part been used as good luck elves (town good will ambassadors) in the past (Tessa even referred to herself as an elf last week!), but now they finally seem to be coming into focus.

Yes, you made my point. The writers are trying their best to keep them, as if they are on the good ship lollipop. They don’t want to present them as a thriving sexual couple, but just as two school girls, that is only there to serve the other citizens of GC, because they have no life of their own. They used them to prop up Kyle and Lola, then Abby and now Noah. Give them their own story with drama. Bring in Tessa’s abusive drug dealing Father and/or drug using Mother. They need to stop using an ex male partner… Read more »

SHAROD, I posted this whole thing that disappeared sending me into the dulldrums about how you are denied Mariah & Tessa having hardcore ranchy sex but what you get as a consultation prize is IDEALISTIC true love which other characters like Billy & Lily do not have. M&T are basicallly Romeo & Juliet in a different form. (R&J had sex the night, or day after they met(!), but you know what I mean) Yes, I agree Mariah & Tessa do not have brazen illicit sex because they are a same sex couple, but then a soap opera is basically not… Read more »
