I wonder will LOLA make a brief appearance to mourn the loss of her big brother. I think that would be a good touch…..but with Rey’s remains being shipped to Miami, I doubt it.

I think even a cameo from all of the Rosales’s would be good but won’t happen. Even Sharon going to morgue to say goodbye to Rey will probably be off screen. They should have a memorial in GC before sending Rey to Miami for funeral. Rey and his portrayer deserved better

I have to ask this. If the weather was so bad outside, shouldn’t Rey and Chelsea have cancelled their trip to Chicago? Was going to the hockey game worth risking your life? Chelsea is worried about Connor playing hockey because it can be a rough sport, yet she wasn’t worried about Rey driving in fog that is thicker than pea soup? A little odd don’t you think?

I agree, if the fog was so bad they could have cancelled the trip. What if Chelsea and Conner were in the car when Rey crashed?

Just as I had thought, Rey , Chelsea and Connor were staying overnight on their trip to Chicago. That would have been so much fun to watch, seeing Rey and Chelsea and Connor at a hotel together. I am so disappointed we never got to see this transpire. I could picture Chelsea inviting Rey to hang out for a little bit in her hotel room and celebrate the fun hockey game they had just watched. Sharon calls Rey, and we hear Chelsea saying something to Rey in the background. Rey then says something subtly to Sharon to help assure her… Read more »

Yes – you’re so right re: the trip being overnight! I stand corrected, and agree that put in a different and inappropriate light. Was it always designed that way? Or was that a change due to the weather? I have just seen snippets thus far of everything and need to watch it all together at some point. I did think the whole trip started out w/no manipulation on Chelsea’s part when she initially had no one to take Connor. (But I could have been conned by the con. Oops, I mea ex-con, lol.)

I think it was always planned to be overnight as I believe Chelsea had asked Rey to go on a “trip” with them not just a hockey game. I don’t think Chelsea planned this from the beginning but as soon she knew Rey was going to take Connor she did everything she could to make sure she was able to go on the trip as well.

Did anyone else notice that Sharon never mentioned MIa’s name when she was sending her love to Rey’s family. She mentioned Arturo and Lola and didn’t mention Mia who is like family. She is Arturo’s partner which makes practically makes her Sharon and Rey’s sister in law. More importantly, she never mentioned little Mateo who is her Rey’s nephew. Sharon is Matea’s aunt by marriage. I found it to be a little odd.

Sharon is in shock and can’t be expected to remember all that trivia…
She did a magnificent, step up to the plate job informing Celeste of the loss of her “wonderful huband and your beloved son.” Magnifience.

I feel like the show intentionally doesn’t want to mention Mia’s name for some reason. I wonder if the actress has something to do with this. You will see on Monday that again Sharon doesn’t mention MIa or Mateo as if they don’t exist as she mentions the people that are Rey’s family .

Sharon did such a good job with giving the news to Rey’s family and her own reaction to Rey’s death, definitely Emmy worthy performance for Sharon Case

Correction: Who is her and Rey’s nephew.

It is odd Mia was the only one not mentioned. Maybe because she hurt Rey turning to Arturo. Either Sharon just didn’t think of her or she knew Arturo would tell Mia

Not sure if anyone else saw this? I could see skin coloured tape across Victoria’s nose when she was in the abandoned shack with Ashland after the accident. It was quite noticeable. It appears it was taped on make up that was used to give Victoria the injured look on her forehead.

I have such mixed feelings about Friday’s episode. Some things made me happy though. But some things bothered me. It bothered me how this “accident” is being talked about. I am not sure if I believe it happened the way that Ashland describes it. Victoria was the one in emotional distress yet Rey was driving erratically… At lest Nikki confirmed what I am hoping for that the police would investigate – cause I have questions about this “accident”. I also loved the Celeste wants Rey buried in Miami with his family. We all saw the Rey was not feeling so… Read more »

Yes! Friday episode we now hear that Rey was driving erratically, Ashland didn’t say that at the cabin. He just said Rey crossed or veered into Victoria path. If the details change at each telling I have to assume Ashland is covering/lying about something that would hurt Victoria. Also, we were told all week how strong Victoria is. She’s a weakling with a snotty attitude, JT she was weak or she would have stood up to him. She’s too weak to get past Billy’s hold on her. She lets her parents dictate to her on every level. I still enjoy… Read more »

I think the investigation is going to prove Rey wasn’t at fault, Victoria was and Ashland is lying as usual.

So, Now Mariah and Tessa are walking down the aisle. Nick will walk Mariah. But who the heck(had to refrain from the other word) will walk Tessa down the aisle. This is why we still needed Rey to at least be here for the wedding. He could of walked her down the aisle. Tessa and Rey have come a long way, since their first meeting that night he almost shot her outside Sharon’s house and then drugged her by the arm into the house. Although the scene was suppose to be intense, I find it funny.

Sharon Case gave a gut wrenching, raw, devastatingly real portrayal of grief. Emmy worthy for sure. I’m getting misty just thinking about that coffee house scene.

I haven’t seen todays but she brings it home like no one. Sharon Case was made for soap opera. It all might come easy for her but seems to be from the depth of her soul. I can’t wait but am afraid to plug into today’s episode…

I also feel the need to heap some praise on Joshua Morrow as well, he has showcased the helplessness of wanting to support a loved one through loss and not knowing how. On top of that Nick had to break the news to her as well, the pain in Mr. Morrow’s eyes was real and heartbreaking.

While I think it is effective in its own way for Rey to starkly die without a death scene off camera, Sharon and Rey could have broken hearts with some goodbye and lots to say to each other in contrast to say Billy hogging the camera with a Camille death saying goodby to Lily & Victoria, and then dragging the Abbotts in for a final farewell. So tiresome. Give Rey a chance.

I find it amazing how quickly Victor and Nikk believed Ashland story about the accident, since they feel that everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie. But it clears their previous Victoria, from any wrong doing, so I guess oh well.

For Sharon, it might be worse to loose your devoted partner through thick & thin and great friend than ‘the love of your life’ which is too much stress anyway.

I seriously doubt it. This woman has already moved on. She still want Tessa and Mariah to continue with the wedding and since it seems that Rey will be shipped to Florida for his burial. This will not even be something she has to deal with or think about, ever again. No grave visits, like with Cassie.

I think you’re prob right. The lovely Sharon* is never w/out a man for long, so after the soap-proper time of mourning, Rey’s memory will take its place of honor alongside the rest of her revered past loves. *And Sharon really is always so lovely – I liked her silky tan jumpsuit (forever to be the ‘informed of tragedy outfit,’ ne’er to be worn again) this week. She looked so comfy-casual stylish in something I suspect would look dowdy or awkward on most gals.

There are rumors after grieving for Rey ,Sharon will move on to Nick or maybe take Adam away from Sally. Chelsea will either try for Nick or maybe Chance.

I wondered how Noah was able to draw that (hideous) picture of Tessa and Mariah. Sharon has the photo of them on her table by the phone. It’s from when Rey and Lola bumped into them at the pumpkin patch trip back in October 2018. Before all that Blackmail crap happened.

So even the great Victor Newman dives into emotional eating, with the molten chocolate cake and all. I joke, only because the pain of Rey’s death is too much to handle.

Typical for Nikki to be too clueless to realize Victor needed a small distraction and comfort as they sat there.

There is so much going on this week, but did Y&R not follow up on Sally telling Adam she is falling in love with him? Please tell me we will get Adam’s reaction to that news. Did he say it back!?
