I’ve voted “A lot of sympathy” for Ashland. In my opinion it was so cruel for him not to be able to come anywhere near Harrison. That’s what I based my vote on. Also, he truly loved Victoria and was very sincere in wanting to make a life with her and on top of that, to be a “Power Couple” could have been very real. Rest in peace Ashland Locke. 🙁

I voted A Little sympathy from me. My vote is right down the middle. I had a lot more sympathy for Ashland right after Victoria pulled her scheme against him in New York and would have been all for a Adam and Ashland team up to destroy or take over Newman Enterprises. My sympathy was going more down the drain when he came to Victoria’s house and got aggressive beyond the point of return. That was not okay. I would rather see Ashland scheme against Victoria the way she schemes against him.

Ashland Locke is the Rey Rosales of corruption and I don’t care the truth of the matter, I will always see him as done as much wrong as he gave. But wait. If Ashland Locke was not stolen he has gotten himself up of the fireplace foreboard to live!
I do see Ashland as a great martyr of Genoa City. I don’t care that he faked cancer and believe every Newman has taken it all way too personally… What has he REALLY done to any of you?

Pretty much no sympathy from me for Ashland. He made his proverbial (and literal, lol) bed and boo-hoo found it uncomfortable to lie in. Not saying Ashland doesn’t/didn’t ‘love’ (his version) Harrison… not saying Ashland didn’t have his share of being ‘done dirty’… not saying he didn’t have/display some positives. But I really dc how his -shall I say- ‘flaws’ stack up against anyone else’s; I’m doing my judge-and-jury act on individual merit only. And his pretty much sucks. Being less or even least stinky in the cesspool doesn’t mean one smells good. Sorry, Ashland.
I have a lot of sympathy for Ashland since Victoria betrayed him. I was hoping for a love can conquer all story with Ashland and Victoria versus Victor and Nikki. But instead I got stabbed in the heart with the 360 degree turn by Victoria.
Victoria had nerve throwing Bobby DeFranco in his face. She knew this before she married him. Like I said before, she thought Ashland was dying. That is the only reason she married him. She wanted his company. Victoria NEVER loved Ashland. She is a schemer and manipulator just like her Daddy.
I think the writers have gone out of their way to avoid sympathy toward Ashland. Harrison is more engaged with “Didi” than “Father”. It also seemed intentionally cold how Ash referred to Harrison as “the child” when arguing with Kyle in the park. I don’t feel any sympathy, but at the moment am loving to hate the guy and hope he sticks around to work out his unresolved issues with Diane’s betrayal and add some tension to the Kyle reunion story.

I do feel bad that they are keeping Harrison from Ashland. The arrest was too far. Also, I may be in the minority but I believe he fell in love with Victoria and still loves her. I truly think Ashland fell for her once the plan was already in motion. I don’t think he would have completely taken over the business which is why he was trying to convince Victoria and family he was cured, so they could run the company together. I think his life with Victoria became more important to him than the business.
I agree Ashland deserves a little sympathy. I also think keeping him away from Harrison is wrong. The boy loves him and he should never have been arrested or even have a restraining order against him. I also believe he fell in love with Victoria while he was doing the plan and that he still loves her . I think he was really hurt by the fact she didn’t love him anymore more than losing the money. But now he seems obsessed with getting her back or getting even?

Nailing it

And he should get even. Victoria deserves to be tormented.
