Chance is acting like an adrenaline junky with this Loche murder mystery. Sitting on the edge of his seat, eyes bulging, hand gestures. I think the thrill of something exciting has clouded his judgement. I don’t get the sense he is struggling at all with the fact he’s investigating his in-laws.

I think Chance is just happy to be a good cop, to take over for Rey and yes he doesn’t care it’s his in-laws he is investigating, which is going to cause problems with Abby

Chance has figured it out with a little help from Kevin. He knows Victor had his “team” to remove Ashland’s body. Kevin feels there was someone else in the car with Ashland based on “grainy video footage.” Actually the entire scenario is a “No-Brainer.” Now it remains to be seen, will Victor, Nick, Victoria, or Victor’s bodyguards be held accountable? I guess it will all boil down to solid proof. Michael Baldwin may have some explaining to do. Surely he is aware of what Victor did.

I think the actual cover up with Victor fixing everything for Nick and Victoria was so obvious from the beginning and shouldn’t take long to prove. I think Nick may be arrested for the murder ,but will get off in the end for protecting Victoria. But Victor never gets convicted of anything, you got that!

I see Chance is taking fashion cues from Nate. Although, I actually doubt Chance gives much thought to anything remotely wardrobe-related (unless it’s Abby’s lack of, lol), so… must have been Abby styling him in that ‘Nate Purple’ button-down. Eggplant looks good on detectives, too!

Summer has whole-heartedly taken on raising Harrison as though he were her own. I completely believe the character has a ‘mama bear’s’ pure, protective, and genuine love for her stepson. I really like this actress in the role – not sure Hunter K. would have fit this new direction for Summer as naturally as Alison L.. is doing. Great character re-vamp, and great recast- imho. Good work, YnR.

I had the same thought. New Summer is savvy and calls her mom out way more than Hunter’s version. Definitely more of a mom-vibe being protective of her family and rising above the pettiness. I like her a lot.

I agree but isn’t that more the writing than the actress? I do like this newer more mature version of Summer though.

I think Alison is doing a great job as Summer. More mature, being a great wife to Kyle and step mom to Harrison. She even tries to rein in Phyllis but they will be on the outs if Phyllis works at Marchetti to bring down Diane.

I still love the Newmans and their stories. Doesn’t mean I want only them on YnR, nor do I necessarily find all (or even any) of them to be ‘the salt of the earth,’ lol. That said, I do find them highly entertaining -and very well cast. I may be the only one who does these days, but ‘I accept that.’ (SOA iykyk.) The Newmans and all of their in/out connections that started once upon a time w/a lone Christian Miller, are a huge reason why I’ve been a decades-long YnR fan. I’m still ALL IN w/them today. No Newman… Read more »

Nick needs to turn himself in to the cops and take his sister with him. Victoria baited Ashland to his death and Nick delivered the final blow. Give Victoria 25 and Nick 15. No visitors.
Victor calls Ashland a criminal but look at his own latest now. The Newmans: America’s criminal self-delusional crime family. Nikki is its head baby faced moll. Despicable, all.

You are correct with your assessment my good man, about The Newmans. But Nick is turning out to not be such an upstanding guy. He just doesn’t want to be kept in the dark. However he is willing to kept the family secrets. He all about I was protecting Victoria. I can’t wait until he finds out that Victoria actually called Victor that night.

I think you may have hit the nail on the head as to why I am gunning for Nick. I am sick to death of him always thinking Victoria needs to be protected! No you do not(!), meant it as an insult, but see I have inadvertently tipped my hat to her feminist cause. Unintended.
The law will take care of Ms. executive. Ashland dared to call her the B word. That is for women to address each other with on soaps but not a man to call a woman if one is to be politically correct and out of the fire.

Kevin can be an unlikeable little snit sometimes but his facial expressions crack me up. When Chance was directing him on how to sweet talk the medical examiner by finding a common bond of a video game I literally guffawed at Kevin’s expressions. He and Chloe both have excellent comedic timing. Seems as though it has been so long since Chloe had anything else to say except “stay away from Adam”. I would love to see more scenes with Chloe and Kevin, and with Chloe and Sally. (That are not about Adam.)

I was proud of Sally too. I just hope that Adam doesn’t use her to get the info. I saw the previews of next week where Jack will offer Adam a job at Jabot. Jack knows that Sally and Adam were good for each other. Hopefully Jack will guide Adam back to Sally and away from trying to take his family down.

Oh, wow. I just saw this. I’m here! Thanks for going looking! Yes, that DOOL story of the show moving to a 3rd world country network seems pretty grim. What positive spin will they put on it? Remember during the Golden Age Of Covid there was the shocker that they were actually 6 months ahead in taping! And then they were in limbo as to wheather the show would even continue or not…. All those Gay characters people are looking for on Y&R that are living on DOOL have lost their home!

Was anyone a fan of One Life To Live when it fell in the ABC swoop only to sometime later be revived on Hulu, special programing? The only acceptable format for the shows is network daytime TV, 5 days a week. Don’t mess with it!

Sorry, Gays are not allowed to have a home or voice on Y&R either, not under Josh Griffith rule. This is why Tessa has been silenced and soon removed altogether. Which is ironic since quite a bit of the cast is Gay in real life.

A bit shocking to see Days of our Lives leave NBC after 57 years. I wonder how it will do on Peacock. Will it survive? Thrive? Either way, now there are only 3 network soaps when there were 19 once upon a time (I’m quoting someone else on that fact). Only 3!

Daytime is all news and talk (mostly about news). I’m not sure that’s healthy. I’m all for staying informed about important events, but the arts are very important too. And we all know soaps are high art! Five days a week! I wonder how long the last 3 will hang on. I hear the CBS soaps run at night in Europe—that may be enough to finance them for a while. Fingers crossed. Streaming just feels like a jungle—network is where the history is.

It’s another reason why CBS does not get rid of their soaps. Their soaps air internationally. They still get money and ratings from that.

I completely agree, but I know it’s pretty much’ ‘old school’ thinking… (aaagh, believe me, I’m devoted to ‘old school’ everything). Network TV and daytime serials are dying slow deaths, but – sadly – their demise is accelerating more and more even as we speak. Pshaw, I say! Long live the soaps! ( Well, at least YnR – PRETTY PLEASE?)

I was surprised since now fans of DOOL will have to pay a fee to watch. I watch Y&R and B&B on Paramount all the time. But it’s nice to know can still watch on CBS. I feel bad for fans who don’t have Peacock TV. It is an expense ,but I find it necessary and I like having all the Prime Time shows in their entirety from Season 1

The move to Peacock will probably lead to a decline in viewers. NBC and ABC are focusing on news programs. CBS still has the best daytime lineup with two talk shows, two game shows, and two soaps.

Question for anyone who has Paramount+: does it have old episodes of Y&R? Can you download? I’d really love to watch Cane & Lilly’s weddings(2009 & 2012) & Michael & Lauren’s engagement (2005). I haven’t found those on a YT. I don’t plan on subscribing but just curious.

There are a number of characters who have really taken a turn for me in recent months. Phyllis, Nikki and Victor are just unsympathetic characters for me now. I have to add them to my list of others who are mostly impossible to like: Kevin, Chloe, Chelsea, and often Billy; plus others I’m forgetting at the moment. Maybe it’s good there are some new characters coming on—I need some new people to root for. Fall 2022 may be quite interesting in Genoa Junction (here’s hoping).

Beth Maitland said in a YT interview that there is a lot of great stuff planned for the show’s 50th anniversary. We’ll see. TBH with these writers I don’t get my expectations too high. I’d love to see some old characters back like Malcolm (with Shemar Moore only). Hey Ally, maybe you can do something cool too? The 50th yr starts in Sept.

I thought it was kind of funny when Phyllis looked at the young kid walking by at the Dive Bar and made a comment. She then told Summer that he wasn’t her type. That’s the only reason you weren’t interested in him Phyllis? Phyllis is old enough to be his mother. He looked like a kid. This is as funny as when Sharon said she is not old enough to remember the 70s. It is an insult to the audience’s intelligence.

Yes—some tough love and consequences for my Adam. It had to be done. Sally deserved honesty from him, not this fake angry breakup. I’m glad that Sally was able to recover quickly enough to keep her job. I don’t want to listen to Chloe’s nonsense about Adam however. I hope Sally shuts that down. Maybe Adam will come to his senses and beg for Sally’s forgiveness. I have a feeling he won’t though—he thinks she is better off without him. And they seem to be headed to a Sally/Nick relationship. No worries and sorry about this spoiler. Plus some secrets will be revealed by herself and Noah, like who her mother is. And she made it clear that as far as the story line goes, she and Diane are not working together to take down The Abbotts. It is a great interview. You guys should check it… Read more »

Hmmmm. I’ll keep an open mind…but not sure they’ll sell ‘hot and steamy.’ Allie’s Disneyesque persona has me thinking I’d more believe her bursting into passionate song vs. passionately sexing it up. I hope the scene proves me wrong. It was weird last week when Allie and Noah were at The Dive Bar and she was awkwardly fondling his hair like a kid would pet his or her mommy’s hair. Ok, I’ll stop. I want Allie to be Noah’s fantasy-come-to-life dream girl… or I guess I do?…. Idk where else this story can go…

Well, call me a traitor ‘cuz I loved Adam and Sally, but I actually want Sally and Nick to get involved. Nick and Adam hnever solidified the whole ‘brother’ thing that would lend to Sally/Nick’s being ‘icky.’ Awkward family dinners? Lol, no! The past ‘scandalous’ sharing Chelsea? Who cares. Sage? Who cares. (OK, sharing Sharon did seem a bit incestuous.) But Sally? Her ‘in the shadows’ Adam relationship is inconsequential re: a Nick hook-up. I’m really torn here. I don’t know if I could ever be sympathetic towards him when the “scorned woman’s wrath” hits him. I may be feeling like a good romp with Nick may be where we are heading and I’ll be ok with it. I have a feeling that because Victor had Ashland Locke body moved Nick will be charged with his death. Because it will look like a cover up. There was no need for Victor to interfer with this matter. Nick had things under control by doing the right thing in wanting the police to be called. But I think that Victoria actually called Victor first and then Chance. Which is how he got there before Chance did.

Also, the parallels with the Adam defending Hope from AJ Montalvo situation are almost exact. Victor’s excuse back then was that Adam was just a young boy who wouldn’t understand. As Nick said, he’s not a child—and yet Victor intervened the same way without even discussing it with him. Victor never learns, changes or grows. (And he still hasn’t called Ashland just “Ashland”. He has a perfect score on the “Ashland Locke” schtick).

Phyllis’ outfits have been a little ‘wonky’ (being ‘generous?) of late, shall we say… Girl!: smokin’ hot, but seriously?!? The recent blue, saggy-boob, split-leg number looked like a cheap prom get-up. The latest peach/tan ‘push-up the aging girls’ number is too much. These tricks ain’t gonna play forever… c’mon, the illusion of classy, not trashy, would better fool the hapless GC hounds … you gotta fool the ‘proper’ GC society, Phyllis!
