I voted “thumbs DOWN!” Diane is , in my opinion, very sincere with all of her efforts to make amends for all of the chaos she caused years ago. I hope that the “Destroy Diane Club” falls flat on it’s face!
I voted “thumbs up!” C’mon fans. These plots for revenge and destruction are what soaps are made of. I have said for too long, Y&R has been to sappy/happy. Dastardly deeds are a thing of the past, and I vote to bring them back. Jack would never leave Victor lay on the floor these days. Paul and Michael would never kidnap Sheila in a cellar. Phyllis would never abduct Michael. Michael would never harass Christine. Some of those were awful, but ladies (not usually buddies) plotting to get Diane out of town? Perfect!
I completely agree! My initial thought was ‘thumbs down,’ thinking The DD Club was just unbecoming… and nasty… and righteous… and blah blah blah. But the almost campy, ‘pretend it’s reality’ characters/plots are just the reasons I love YnR. The themes resonate emotionally w/me, so I more easily find the nonsense ‘applicable’ and entertaining. I agree w/ Gary that this is probably meant as comedic – or ‘black humor,’ I suppose. Soaps by their very nature are a parody, anyway. I think The DD Club is a hoot! I voted thumbs down. I think all the ladies have their own issues and should stop trying to bring Diane down. They are the ones that will lose. Kyle and Jack will protect Diane, and Summer will be very upset with Phyllis using Marchetti to do it.
I voted Thumbs Down. Phyllis(whom I used to love) should grow up already and because for me, these women are too old, to be acting like high school mean girls.
If Diane slips up, let her bury herself. We don’t need the help of these three witches.
OH – I hope those 3 witches go down in flames and they become the town pariahs from the start over Diane. It seems like this is comedy and that it where they are going but you never know. Ashley should have known better. Hang it up girls, Diane is always going to come out on top. Did I mention put Nikki in jail for all the dirty looks she gives? Or just jail her, period.
I agree with putting Nikki in jail. Let’s NOT FORGET, that even if Diane is alive. Nikki still bashed the woman over the head with a rock and tried to kill her. She is truly not an innocent or victim here. Also, I feel that there are some viewers who believe that Nikki killed Delia and Victor covered it up by planting evidence, ie: Delia’s scarf on Adam’s SUV. It’s believed that Nikki was driving drunk and since Adam was not playing the dutiful son at this time, Victor had to find a way to punish him. I think this… Read more »
That would be quite a revelation and believable. Victor would never let Nikki take the fall and Adam was made a pariah over it
This has been my theory all along. Nikki was drinking quite a bit during this period of time. There was a scene where Nikki was remembering driving the night Delia was hit. But, she couldn’t remember anything else about the evening. My heart broke when Delia died. She was such a fun and sweet character.
I thought Nikki had hit Diane in self-defense? I don’t recall what Diane was/wasn’t doing, but I thought Nikki’s self-defense was proven in court w/ an eyewitness or vIdeo? If so, I’m fine w/the rock-bashing, lol. I never thought of Nikki’s hitting Delia. (Although, I hope the whole Delia story is done…) The twist you out-lined would certainly up-end things w/Adam. And quite possibly, fans forever condemning ‘negligent’ Billy may then re-direct some of that venom toward Victor, and Billy will go from ‘worst-ever’ to ‘still-awful-but-not-worst.’ Lol, judgements deemed by comparison!
This Nikki reveal would be an epic 50th anniversary reveal. We have waited long enough!!!
Would love to see this. Almost like the Cassie death storyline and shift the storyline into a new direction. It’s time for Nikki to crash from CoCEO. Rise and fall!
