Thank you for not taking Chloe’s horrible advice Adam. Sally may be too angry to forgive you, but at least you did the right thing at last. Sally deserved the truth and your sincere apology. Not much else you can do but ask for another chance. Hopefully Sally will see that Chloe is a manipulator who has her own agenda where Adam is concerned.
Yeah, if Adam had talked to Sally the way Chloe wanted him to Sally might be headed for the east river, although likely made of stronger stuff than that.
Hallelujah. I was very pleased to see Adam come to his senses. I hope its one of Adam’s MANY steps towards fixing things with Sally. And I don’t want Sally to accept it right away. He has to work for it because he hurt her so much. BUT I’ll be waiting for him to say something like “I never stopped loving you” or “we balance each other out & I need no, I WANT you in my life”. SHAROD, how weird is that? Tessa bombing out as a Marchetti fashion model in a big rose garden red dress? Singing may be her only option. Good luck, Tessa.
Gary, Yeah, if that dress is considered high fashion. They can keep it. I will stick with my jeans. That dress makes Tessa looks terrible. But according to Cait, the character of Tessa will not be doing any new music for awhile on the show and Tessa and Mariah will not be getting a new born baby, because Cait is not comfortable with them.
If Sally and Adam don’t get back together wouldn’t it be interesting if Adam and Diane had a fling? They work in the same building. Honestly, the only couples who need to stay together are Mariah and Tessa, Nikki and Victor, and Kevin and Chloe the rest could really break up.
Let’s put Lauren and Michael in the category of couples that need to stay together as well. On that note: From the preview we see Lauren saying that she has a problem with Tessa. Is Lauren still holding a grudge against Tessa from 2018, when Tessa was a Barista at Crimson Lights and got her order wrong? Because that was the one and only time they had any interaction since Tessa arrived in GC almost six years ago.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Diane & Adam as friends or acquaintances. Nothing romantic. They have a huge age gap & more importantly she was with his father. Ewww. Their scene when Adam first saw Diane alive is one of my favourites from this year. Susan & Mark really made it fun. I hope they have more scenes together. I hope Diane will be one of the people that doesn’t hate him, like how she didn’t hate Ashland. Everyone needs a friend or two.
Chelsea’s curiosity and con artist past especially in her scene with Chance made me want Chelsea to have a storyline where she’s a PI or does a true crime podcast to find the killer with Chance. I think I like them better than Abby and Chance. They bore me. Maybe it’s this version of Chance and this actor, but they don’t gel for me.
Stop the Presses! Adam Newman is spotted wearing a white shirt. Could this be a turning point for the Dark Prince?

YES Kamna! I saw it on twitter. The video was blurry so can’t wait to watch it on my PVR in HD. Adam & Sally looked great together in black but IMO that’s a fall look. Can they please dress more summery…at least at the pool? I saw a 2019 episode & Adam wore a white shirt at the park. Its official, MG looks great in black or white. So he was looking handsome & he apologized to Sally. A win win. A step in the right direction.
I noticed that the show has put quite a few of the characters in white this past week; Faith, Allie, Sharon, heck even Diane, who is usually in black was wearing white. I wonder if they are doing this as a tribute(cough, cough) to Mishael Morgan, because white had become her signature color on the show and as of now she is not with Y&R. Those contract negotiations after you win an Emmy. But TPTB wants to keep the money for themselves.
Phyllis is creeping me out a bit. Slithering around Diane, hissing over her shoulder. I get that she is enjoying watching hers and Nikki’s (is Ashley still involved?) plan come to fruition, but it’s uncomfortable to watch. With that being said, Michelle Stafford’s scene with Joshua Morrow was sexy and flirty. Those two have such chemistry. They exude sex all over my screen. I know that the writers are going in the direction of Sally and Nick, but I’m afraid that’s going to be a boo-hoo fest, with both parties regretting that decision. More uncomfortableness. I’m really hoping Talia ends up writing a story about Nikki and Phyllis and how hypocritical and petty they are with their sullied pasts.
Yes, Diane could easily turn the tables on them. Or take the high road and get Jack, Kyle and Summer’s sympathy when they find out that the witches are the ones who put Talia up to her smear campaign.
I agree. Although Diane and Talia “acted” like didn’t know. each other. I am not 100% buying it. I think she and Diane are giving Nikki and Phyliss just enough rope with this scheme to hang themselves.
Agree. Something is up. Phyllis & Nicole may be about to be hoisted on their own petard.
I thought the same thing, so far it seems she only wrote about Diane’s past in GC. I think a reveal of Nikki and Phyllis would really shake things up.
Yes, what is going on with Phyllis? She is acting like Cruella Deville.
It was delightful to see Tessa be the one to get emotional over Sharon’s speech when she was reluctant at first about being a Mom. Also, Sharon was really amazing and so touching. I hope to see more of Sharon, the “mama bear” that defends T&M. Sharon was so mad at the adoption attorney, I think if she was in front of her, Sharon would have kicked her butt. I loved the hug at the end.
I’m in the mood for a fun, steamy PHICK reunion! As much as I love Jack, he can go ahead and have Diane at this point………he’ll see in the end that Phyllis, and pretty much everyone else in his circle was right all along…….Diane is still a selfish, manipulative, shady, conniving hot mess underneath her carefully constructed reformation facade. A person capable of throwing anyone and everyone under the bus to save her hide, Kyle was tossed out with the bath water before, and likely will be a second time, if Diane starts to feel the walls closing in.
So everyone is allowed to say “I’m not that person anymore” except for Diane? Malarkey. Phyllis turns my stomach.
Phyllis, Chelsea and Chloe was three of my other favorites besides Tessa and Mariah. But I now cringe when they come on the screen, especially if Chelsea and Chloe has a scene with Sally and Phyllis is with or talking about Diane. I can’t take it anymore.
Sigh. Of course it has nothing to do with any of the actors on the show—we support them all (I think). It’s just the direction of the characters. So many of my former favorites are downright unpleasant now! Sanctimonious and preachy and lacking any self-awareness! Give me a flawed, but self-reflective Adam Newman all day long. Give me the current version of Jack who is ready to get on with his life. Give me Faith who said she’s taking Adam’s kidney to college and thanked him again. Give me Teriah. Many other GC residents are acting like fools right now.
It is hard to imagine Tessa blackmailing a few people for sport and taking Nikki’s gun winding up on the police blotter. Did you all know of the many robberies and break ins of Mariah Copeland in her back story at the hands of Ian Ward? Yes, blame it all on Ian Ward, sticky-fingers. She and her boy toy Kevin Fisher had much in common.
Gary, My Girls arrests actually did make the police blotter. After reeking havoc in GC for a few months against Sharon(paid for by Victor) and Abby(because of Tyler) Mariah was arrested when Abby called the police on her and she was taken back to either Madison or Portland and Sharon went there at Tyler’s request to help her and brought her back to GC. Tessa was arrested twice, first for stealing Nikki’s gun, where Paul offered her immunity in exchange for dirt on Victor, but she turned him down. Also, Is Victor not aware that Sally knows all about the cover up. He wants her fired because she didn’t get Adam to come back to Newman. As if Adam leaving was not ALL his fault. And to make matters even more laughable regarding not doing business based on personal feelings, that is completely how Victor runs his company, especially when he went after Jabot and Chancellor back in the day. SMH!!
What does manipulating Adam have to do with job performance? Go crawl under a rock Old Man Newman. Your ideas about running a business are deplorable. You sold Newman Media to Victoria because Adam “might” have believed Billy was drunk. You rewarded Victoria for almost losing EVERYTHING to Ashland because you never hold her accountable. In contrast you let everyone go around slamming Adam because you actually have zero respect for him. Now you want to fire Sally and summon Nick to pressure him to do it. Your time has come and gone. Just retire already.
Answering your first question; ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Regarding your last statement; I COMPLETELY AGREE.
I’ve been wanting more story for Sharon, and I’m suddenly (wishful thinking?) realizing that it’s about here… Sharon was NOT her ‘Zen self’ when providing her listening ear’to Sally re: Adam – QUITE the contrary. She tried hard (but unsuccessfully) to appear objective and detached, but I think Sharon will no longer able to resist her thus far dormant pull toward Adam. (Sorry, Ambreenie – it’ll probably just be temporary for each to get the other out of his and her systems… I’m still open to an Adam + Sally end-game!)
Though I’m behind I sneaked a peak at the Ally scene today (couldn’t resist) & I’m glad I did. There may be hope for them yet : ) Adam is taking the first step by apologizing. I waiting for him to say he never stopped loving her & he needs her in his life. That they are each other’s counter balance. I can’t come up with something that uses their dark humour & is romantic. Call me sappy, but I loved Abby’s having the important people in Dominic’s life write for a time capsule she created for him on his 1st birthday. Abby has heart.
I agree. I just. think it is weird that her parents and siblings and nieces weren’t at this party. Sometimes it is as if Abby only has a family of friends
Abby is alone even when surrounded by people. It’s like nobody actually notices or cares about her life. She’s more than a pretty face but the writers rarely give the character the opportunity to be smart about anything.
How profound is this sentence, “Abby is alone when surrounded by people.” Same here. I can’t wait to ditch the crowd to go back to being my own best friend. But enough about me! I’m trying to analyze this. I don’t know that its true that people don’t care about Abby but do Chatties think she isolates herself in her fairy tale bubble that people don’t relate to? I am really liking the idea of Chelsea and Chance getting together! It seems that Y&R has gone in a new direction with Chelsea’s love interest. Initially Y&R seemed to be having Chelsea grow closer to Billy with the podcast but since MIshael Morgan seems to be off the show at this time, it looks like Y&R wants to have Abby and Devon grow closer as Chance bonds with Chelsea. You might be onto something. It makes perfect sense to end the podcast if Chelsea and Billy won’t be together. If they put Chance with Chelsea, she will drive him nuts with her legal and illegal antics. Book Chance twice a week with his therapist, please.
It is to Adam’s credit that ( although he is sarcastic to her for how could he not be?) because of what happened in the past he is always respectful and patient with Chloe. For Chloe, all Adam really is to her is a child killer. She has never had a personal relationship with him (?) and all she feels she knows about him comes to her 3rd party, Chelsea. Chloe please STOP!!!!! I can’t with her. It is None. Of. Her. Business what Sally does or wants to do with her personal romantic relationships! That means Adam. It is NOT her place to step in at all. She is so controlling!! She is being such a bad friend to Sally.

Chloe always manipulates Adam based on the mistaken idea that he owes her something because of Delia—and he falls for it. Why don’t you hate on Billy for Delia’s death Chloe???
