In my opinion, it’s really too bad that the actress currently playing Imani is only temporary. From day 1, I have not been a fan of the character and when it comes to her behaviour towards Nate, she always came off as devious, desperate and disingenuous when it came to her flattery and encouragement toward him. She seemed to want ONE thing…Nate in bed, period! With this new actress, I’m not sure if it’s her vibe or her delivery but she seems to show vulnerability and sweetness and I believe she has true, genuine feeling for Nate. She looks at… Read more »
I agree the actress playing Imani now is very good. I’m not a big fan of the Imani character. She was brought on to separate Nate & Elena which looks like it’s happening soon. Elena will never approve of this behavior from Nate. She has too much integrity and I think Y&R is ruining Nate’s character

I don’t know if I should chalk it up to bad writing or bad acting on the part of the woman who plays Talia, but something is off with that storyline. I keep wondering if she’s actually planning an expose/book on Nikki?! It seems weird that she’d be encouraging Nikki to meet up with Deacon and bring back any info. If she’s this amazing reporter, wouldn’t she have already spoken to Deacon?
I keep thinking the same thing. She is being played by Natalie Morales previously a host on the Talk and a reporter at the Today show. I’m guessing she’s trying out acting now? The way she said “one last time”. I thought she’s setting Nikki up. I wondered if the text to Dianne was actually from Talia and she’s planning to switch the story somehow. I keep getting Leanna Love vibes from her.
If that happens The Talk mistress of ceremonies will now officially be an actress. She’s pretty good!
The actress playing Talia is from the TALK, not sure if she has done any other roles. I think she is going to do an expose on Genoa City in general. Nikki and Phyllis especially have as bad or worse past behavior than Diane. Would be alot of info on both of them
What if it’s Sheila somehow texting Diane? I would love that. I have a feeling it’s Talia though. I don’t trust Talia.
I was kind of hoping Bill Spencer would be her beau in the Bentley, he’d have the power to shut down an article series too. Wouldn’t that be fun? Sheila would be great too. But I’m wondering if it’s the new actor joining Y&R…
That would be great ,but I don’t think Sheila is crossing over from B&B maybe she will eventually. I think it’s Keemo who isn’t really dead either. Who else could it be?
Last thought if I wee Devin especially after seeing how the merger didn’t really work out for him I would buy majority of the stock under a pseudonym and run the business with the autonomy he’s use too.
I’m so annoyed with Nate. Ok Devon was a douche to you but Lily never was. I really don’t fully understand the animosity and wow is me syndrome Nate has. He slept with Elena knowing she was still Devon’s live in partner, he couldn’t save Hilary or the baby and he truthfully had more time mentored as a child by Neil than Devon ever did. So why are you so salty Nate? I don’t think Neil or Olivia would approve this move. I hope Devon trust but verifies Nate’s sudden change of heart. Also I don’t like Lily pushing Devon… Read more »
Hey Sherrita, gotta appreciate your empathy for Devon. His viewpoint has definitely been marginalized next to the superstar Lily and ballsy Nate. Devon has flaws as everyone well knows, but he is certainly more than one-note negative – and that is what’s getting lost in the personal and business shufflings at CW. You make sone excellent points.
I think we will finally be headed for a Victoria and Nate romance now that Nate has teamed up with the Newmans. I have always liked the idea of these two characters being romantically involved but I would like to see Nate and Elena last a while longer. It seems their relationship has finally grown stronger and now it is looking like Elena is going to break up with Nate. I admit I am enjoying the feud between Phyllis and Diane but I can’t believe that Phyllis would jeopardize her job at Marchetti after selling her hotel just to seek revenge on Diane. I just read up on the history between Phyllis and Diane and understand all of their hatred for each other stems from each others feelings for Jack. Diane also tried to make it look like Phyllis ran over her leg with her van when she was married to Jack as well as trying to frame Phyllis for arson after setting the pool house on fire. I agree with you about Phyllis but I want to add that she is also fearful that summer will fall victim to Diane. At least at first she was using that for excuse to go after Diane. With Phyllis it’s never a clear picture because she is always in motion. If she would just take a deep breath and think without such wild emotions it would be to her benefit.
So Y&R gives a tween ager, a meaty storyline while getting rid of Faith and Moses. And apparently has decided that the Only Lesbian in Daytime along with her Wife, should become Comic Relief. Even though the writing of that is not to high standards. I just can’t decide if Mariah and Tessa are suppose to be Lucy and Ethel or Laverne and Shirley.
“There you are……..the Diane I know and hate”……….I feel you Phyllis. Please girl, play it cool and let Diane dig her own grave…..figuratively of course, with Nikki’s sleuthing giving her a destructive nudge.
Michelle Stafford is such a great actress. When Phyllis was watching the interactions at Summer and Kyle‘s party, you could see the disappointment and sadness on her face. You could tell she was thinking “What have I done this time?” “ I can’t believe my family excluded me.” Nick was able to pull her from the abyss this time. Who knows if next week, as she tries to find out who Diane is texting , if anyone will be there to pull her back.
I completely agree. Her performances – along w/many of the other cast members’ – are precisely why I watch the show. Nonsensical stories and/or gaping plot points (which soaps are made of!) are immaterial to me if I can relax my brain and just get lost in the characters and emotions. M. Stafford is one who always brings that for me. Love to watch her.
Michelle Stafford really does so much with her role. Her character is not lovable yet I am usually hoping she doesn’t self-destruct. I hope somehow she and Diane get aligned to do battle against whoever is doing the texting. Maybe it’s Shelia.

Chelsea is right. HELP! Did I just type that sentence???? Yes. I have always felt that the Newman lies about Johnny and Christian are wrong. In Johnny’s case, Chelsea agreed to the arrangement, but he’s now old enough to know the full truth. But in Christian’s case, Nick denied Adam the right to have any visitation with his biological son and for Connor to know his half-brother. Selfish. Loving Adam now. But No, he actually sued Nick for full custody of Christian and enlisted Sharon’s help to do it. But for some reason I can’t recall as I type this, Adam backed down. Also I believe the nasty accusations by Nick and Adam made the judge threaten to take Christian away from both of them.
Consequences Phyllis, consequences. You are the one who have made it impossible for there to be a party with you and Diane in the same room.
