I really love this actor as Tucker McCall. He has a very calm and cool demeanor about him. I think he really personifies the role of Tucker with much charm and charisma while having a sense of mystery about him that is captivating. I would like to see him rekindle his relationship with Ashley as we have not seen Ashley in a meaningful relationship in a very long time. I also think they would make a compelling couple.

LOVE him. (Sorry, don’t even remember the last one.) I could’t care less about how the new actor’s portrayal compares to others’ takes from… what, a zillion years ago? (a zillion- at least to me in soap years, lol). This guy instantly embodies a character I don’t recall (no diss! the character just became less relevant (ok, forgotten) to me over time amid other crazy stories). BUT- Tucker is back, w/ a laughable swagger – and seriously threatening undercurrent. Don’t underestimate Tucker; he knows exactly what he is doing on every step of his disarming way. I’m all in on… Read more »

I like the new Tucker very much. Drama seems to follow him wherever he is. He is weaving quite a few webs in Genoa City. I hope Victoria will be caught in one of them. Let’s hope the writers do him justice and create a devious, somewhat likable character.

I voted a “Thumbs Up” for the “New Tucker” but with reservations. I like his humor. He is quite different from the “Original Tucker”. He has to grow on me a little. I could actually understand or foresee a recast in the future which is what I base my reservations on. I would like to see more of a balance [of humor and villain] I guess. If memory serves, the former actor lacked the humor but truly made a great Tucker McCall in my opinion.

William Russ??? I gave Tucker a thumbs down not so much for Trevor St. John (you have to think not to call him Kristoff St. John), but just to the Tucker character in general. You never know what he may bring us, but the “Patch” Tucker from DOOL was just so hard edged and not likeable to me. Of all people to end up the great Katherine Chancellor’s long lost mystery child! A waste! Not caring for the character has made a lasting impression so it will be an uphill battle for TSJ to win my affections. Tucker seems so… Read more »

William Russ was a perfect Tucker McCall. He even looked like Catherine. And his accent originated “Darlin’”. In my opinion, Stephen Nichols’ portrayal of Tucker was not as believable. Trevor St.John will be a good Tucker, although I don’t agree with Y&R’s decisions to make characters younger than their history would allow. I can see him with Allie or Abbie, maybe Chelsea, but I can’t picture him with Ashley or Jill or Diane or (gasp) Phyllis. So I voted YES.
Your take is interesting to me, as I don’t find Trevor St.J.’s age to be ‘off’ at all. While I am terrible at discerning anyone’s age based on appearance, I totally buy this guy in the age range he supposedly is. I easily visualize him w/ not only Diane, but maybe w/ Ashley, Phyllis, or hmmmmmm, Victoria? Sharon?? Nottttttt Allie (ick, she looks like she’s 13), but sure- Chelsea? Abby? Sally? TRACI?????
Before anyone flies to Allie’s defense- I do NOT mean that ALLIE is in any way ‘ick’!! But to my mind’s eye, there is enough of an age gap between Tucker and Allie to think any romance/hook-up relationship between the two as ‘ick.’ Jmho. And I only mentioned Allie when I thought of the various-aged lovely ladies in GC. And certainly no prediction here re: Allie w/love-struck eyes for anyone but her prince, Noah. Anyway, back to the man at the heart of the poll – he’s great!

I love this tucker so far. Even more than the previous actor. This actor is so relaxed and natural. He seems like a real person. However, I do think the writing is a little lazy. All the characters are treating him like a villain but I don’t remember him being this hated before he left GC. He cheated on Ashley so I guess he’s a monster?! I guess it’s kind of like Diane faking her death, so now she’s a monster too!
I like him too, But I liked Stephen Nichols the last actor that played him too. Although this actor seems a bit young to be Devon’s father. So far he is doing an ok job.
