I think she’s just as devious as she has always been. She known when to bring the crocodile tears to Jack. If she were truly changed she would have confessed before Tucker’s return.
I do not have sympathy for her. Diane continually makes bad decisions, after bad decisions. She has moments of genuine empathy and caring. However, those get lost on all of her lies and deceptions. Diane is still a work in progress. Change does not mean perfection. Maybe Diane wants to aim for being the best person she can. She is a welcome addition to Genoa City and I look forward to the writers uncovering more of her imperfections.
I voted I have sympathy for Diane. Not because the woman is being honest about everything but she has done NOTHING to anyone since she returned to town. Yet the Witches of GC, have made it their mission to run her out of town. Why? Because with Diane back in town they have to put up a mirror to themselves and realize their accountability for what they did to her. I don’t know .Maybe I am naive but I never really watched when Diane was on the show. Still I heard all the things she’s done. But I believed her and her confession to Jack and that she really want to just lead a “normal” life reconnecting woith her son and all . I am still not sure but for the moment I give the benefint of the doubt. I love the actress she’s so freaking good. Maybe thats why i found it so easy to believe her 🙂

Granted, If you look at Diane’s overall character rap sheet she is not sympathetic at all. In my giving her the thumbs up its a good thing I can hardly remember any of the transgressions of her past or she might find herself vetoed by me. Diane’s 2022 sympathy prod is so completely outrageous, pleading and over the top that I’ve decided to just give it to her!
