1980’s Disco Harem. At first I did not like it and as I believe Gary said, the lighting is too bright. It should be a dimly lit evening vibe. It made me so uncomfortable imagining myself sitting there that eventually I got attached to it. I love it now!

All! Michael Damien had a post on FB with the actor who plays Daniel and Laura Lee Bell – looks like he’s at least making a guest appearance! Wouldn’t it be great if he came back and reunited with…PHYLLIS?!
I hope so too! I want a long storyline, not a one day appearance. Y&R understands how attached the old timers are to the characters. The entertainment industry understands viewer nostalgia.

The award for the line of the week goes to Adam…”the only woman he’s ever loved is Sharon. You’re just the latest substitute.”
I love that even when he’s lashing out Adam just nails it with the truth. Unfortunately it seems that the writers want Sally to learn that lesson the hard way. So we may need to wait another 6 months before Nick and Sharon reunite.
I don’t know why Chelsea did not want to confide her feelings to her mother when she was feeling so depressed. I know Anita was not the best mother as she taught Chelsea how to be a scam artist but I always got the feeling that Anita cares for Chelsea despite her poor parenting skills. I feel like a daughter would want to turn to her mother in a time of need and I feel like Anita would have been there to comfort Chelsea. I would have liked to have at least have seen reaching out to her mother by… Read more »
I was thinking the same thing. This is the gaps that I notice, by this writing team, that is not implemented but makes common sense. Chelsea should have been reaching out to her Mother. At one point she was trying to take Connor out of town to be with Anita. Then in a real moment of conscious crisis she doesn’t reach out to her Mom?
You would think the actress would be available and wanting a cameo

I am sorry I have not been able to comment earlier in the week as it is report card time. I have not yet watched the last 2 episodes. Having said that, I am not sure if anyone noticed the error on Ashley’s phone when she received the text message from Abby. Her phone said Mom instead of Abby. Abby is not Ashley’s mom. This is the second time we have seen a phone error. The previous one was on Phylliis’s phone.
Ha, I saw that too. My first thought was Dina is back from the dead?!

Tucker is the only character I have ever seen wearing socks without having his shoes on unlike every other character we see. He knows how to get comfortable, as we saw him with his feet up on the coffee table in his hotel room. I wonder if there was a reason for showing Tucker doing this? I feel like it is to show Tucker is at ease with everything he is doing while also showing that he is somewhat cocky and arrogant as well. I say this because it seems like Y&R made a point of showing this to us… Read more »
I used to really dislike the turtlenecks but now I’m getting used to them. Is it supposed to be a hippy ashram thing? I guess we’re supposed to expect the unexpected.

It was funny when Phyllis said that Victor’s investigation team was obviously useless and then Nikki just looked at her. Y&R always seems to add in some humor between the three characters. Phyllis also made a jab at Ashley when she told her to keep doing whatever she does to Tucker to get him to open up to her, which Ashley commented on. For three women who don’t like Diane, they sure spend a lot of time and energy on her. Don’t they have jobs to do and companies to run…lol.
I love it when the characters jab at each other and it doesn’t lead to a full blown fight. It’s like they like being teased by their best frenemy.

I am disappointed that there is no more GCAC hotel set anymore. Tucker told Audra that he moved out of there because Devon sold it. I know it was mentioned by Lily before that Devon had sold the hotel which was never mentioned by Devon about why. I liked this hotel set much better than the Grand Phoenix. We know of course it is because the GCAC hotel set was much bigger than the Grand Phoenix. It also seems that we may have lost the Chancellor mansion set. When they first showed Chance there last week, I thought Chance was… Read more »

I really don’t believe that a young boy should’ve been told the truth about what happened to Chelsea. How can a young child comprehend the mindset of an adult who is depressed and suicidal? The child will feel guilty. A child does not have to know every thought and emotion and action that a parent experiences, but then I grew up in a time when children were to be seen and not heard lol.
I completely agree. I don’t understand why or how Connor having this knowledge is in anyway beneficial to him. I don’t buy Chelsea’s reasoning that she is worried about Connor finding out from someone else other than herself. How would that happen? The only people that had this information about Chelsea’s suicide attempt was herself, Billy, Sharon and Adam. Billy didn’t even tell Lily what happened. Chelsea’s mental state would have been kept confidential. Adam could have told Connor that Chelsea was at her mother’s as she was needed there for whatever reason. There is a reason for the saying… Read more »
And I COMPLETELY agree as well. I found the scene cringey and kept wishing they’d just let Connor go play instead of having to validate Chelsea’s misguided, albeit well-intended, ‘parenting by full disclosure.’ Oh gee, maybe a therapeutic board game of sharing feelings would have clinched it. Ultimately, Connor can only have the perspective of a child – no matter how honest, heartfelt, and sensitive the conversations may be… and Chelsea and Adam DID bring all of that (alhough they each need watch not making promises each or both may not be able to keep…) But Connor’s reactions didn’t ring… Read more »

I watched the Canada version today. Oh Adam, in the words of Cher, “Where’s da ring? You gotta ring?”
I hope Sally turns him down flat! She and Nick are back!

Until Ali mentioned it in the last Chat, it had never ocurred to me that Abby might end up pregnant. But that could make for a good custody drama depending on who she ends up w/ and who the father is (esp. if Dom’s paternity s/ ever come into play again). But I’ve been anticipating a Sally pregnancy… either she becomes committed to Nick but has a passionate moment (moments?) w/Adam, or goes back to Adam but then finds herself preggers w/ Nick’s baby. Then Nick could give custody of that kid to Adam, lol! – cueing yet another serious… Read more »

Must admit that Connor, portrayed by Judah Mackey, used to really frustrate me as I viewed him as too whiney and bratty! Now I say hats off to that kid! He is truly “bringing it” as he deals with Chelsea’s sad state of mind. He has truly touched my heart this week! He is a great actor. Ha ha, I guess his portrayal of being whiney and bratty was excellent as well. Good job Judah! 🙂 He is a great fit for that role! In my opinion he would be hard to replace.
Excellent family scene today with all three of them. Chelsea’s delivery was so well done, honest but age appropriate. Adam close by, quiet but reassuring. And yes, Connor gets all the kudos! A realistic response from him—so worried that he caused his mother’s sadness then wanting to do whatever he can to help. I loved finally seeing the family get to surround Chelsea, as it should be. They will always be key people in her life, at least until Connor is grown. Lovely to see them in a positive, forward thinking scene at such a sensitive moment in time.
Eye Of Newt, that’s correct Ali
THE FREAK-HEADS AFTER DIANE ARE JEALOUS OF HER GOODNESS!
Noah’s nightclub in the “daytime” looks so gaudy! Who decorated that?

“HELL TO THE NO!” I’m for moving forward with all of the new characters lately. The former ones need to stay away. They had their day .
Bring em’ on, but no to Audra C & Tucker who is too obnoxious to watch.
I hope so too! I want a long storyline, not a one day appearance. Y&R understands how attached the old timers are to the characters. The entertainment industry understands viewer nostalgia.

And Adam and Sally. I’m still holding out hope.
Me too, I like Sally with Adam. Being with Nick is boring . They should just be friends
That was a fun stick-it 🙂
