Yes. Does Jeremy Stark get to keep the genuine all leather briefcase with the JA initials too?
Do any Chatters remember a Sunday topic of discussion about how passee the classic briefcase is for work and how all the younger, hipper CEOs like Cane Ashby carry a satchel?
Seasons Greetings.

If a baby is what brings back Sally and Adam, I’m for it. I’m also wondering if either a false alarm, or miscarriage, might be something that really has Sally evaluate what/who she wants long-term in her life? That might be too nuanced a storyline to ask for from Y&R, but it’s Christmas, so I’ll ask for the miracle. 🙂

If Sally is pregnant I am assuming the baby would be Adam’s, not Nick’s. Adam only has one child (Conner). Nick has Noah, had Cassie and now Mariah, Faith and Christian. Nick does not need another baby.
And Christian is really Adam’s biological son….cannot wait for Connor to find out he has another half brother and not his cousin. It appears that Nick has forgotten too and is blind to not preparing for that day he needs to inform Christian of that truth. It is not Adam’s truth to tell.

The Mariah and Tessa episode was very touching. I was nervous 15 mins in that it would be a little cheesy. I really thought the woman was about to give them her baby right there in the coffee shop but it didn’t turn out that way AND it was just a dream! We don’t see a lot of Mariah and Tessa, so it was actually really nice having the show focus an entire episode on them.

I am very happy the show has brought back the Abbott cabin. It is nice to see instead of cold hotel rooms all the time. I appreciated seeing Kyle, Summer, Diane and Harrison decorating the tree and I also enjoyed seeing the tree from a different angle in the room, as we would always see the characters by the couch or fireplace. This was a very nice change. It made the cabin feel like an entirely different set than previously.
Is this the cabin you remember? What about the St. Valentine’s Day murder armoire and were there not moose antlers over the fireplace? Haven’t seen episode but happy to hear Diane & co. are making merry! That’s the way to do it! Jeremy Stark be damned for all any of us really have is today! Haul out the holly!
At some point, I think we were asked where we would spend our birthday. I would spend mine at the Abbot Cabin with …….Mariah. She seems interesting, fun, quiet, would play board games, and watch old tv shows, she is interesting.

It is very silly that we are to believe Harrison asks for and misses his DeeDee whom he has only known for a few months and has never once looked back or asked about his mother Tara. It is ridiculous that the show has Kyle and Summer never even mention her name.. Kyle mentioned how Harrison had to deal with the loss of his father Ashland but no mention of Tara. Y&R needs to do a better job of explaining exactly what happened to her as it is not realistic to just act like the character never existed. Harrison’s mother… Read more »
How do you come up with these sage comments, Dianna? This is nomination for post of the week. DeeDee. Really? Where is Harrison’s proper mother and if she can not appear why is she never discussed? The only one who really matters is your real mom! Like you, I am appalled!

Merry Christmas to all Chatters! Wishing you all happiness this holiday season- wherever, however, and whatever you are celebrating. I hope you all stay warm, stay safe, stay thankful, and find peace in the things and people that bring you joy. It’s a wonderful life!
Merry Christmas to you also Sue. Don’t drink too much eggnog. It’s 21 degrees here in Louisiana. Not too used to this chilly weather. Hope all of you Chatters are warm.
Likewise. Very positive of you, SueW. I have to say I like your style.

Well it looks like Sally is pregnant. I would think it’s not Nick’s because she is with Nick and why would the do the whole one last romp with Adam if it weren’t Adam’s? I’m thinking Nick and Sally will get married. Nick knows about her having sex with Adam. Are we looking at the same story as Sage with Christian?
I agree we’re getting a “who’s the baby daddy” storyline. I loved hearing Sally talk about her childhood in the carnival. Sally describing the bad parenting she endured definitely foreshadowing her pregnancy. Also, we may get another “who’s the baby daddy” with Abby, Chance and Devon. Chance was only temporarily unable to father a child. The DNA lab at the hospital may be seeing lots of action and test switching in 2023.
I had forgotten Sally Spectra is a descendant of the great Darlene Connelly, baby trafficker, seller of young girls into sexual slavery on Y&R. Went by the name Rose Deville back then. About 1979. Feels so right that the tough, monsterous Darlene Connelly has her roots as a carnie. Woman with a whip.
Sally telling her childhood stories to Nick was not as much fun as when she told Adam. Adam really loved everything about her. There were moments when I saw Nick kind of cringe.

Yet, again. This show, shows total lack of concern, disregard and disrespect to Tessa and Mariah. You CAN NOT OR SHOULD NOT make characters the singular focus of a Christmas Episode, when you have barely invested in them for seven months. Absolutely ridiculous and so not fair to the audience.
Aww, just know that not all viewers see this as disrespect. I enjoy Teriah and like having them on whenever and however they are – I find that more preferable than not at all, and gotta say I don’t think of their recent lack of story as unfair to me. I remain vested in the characters because of how they’ve been developed over time and brought to life by the fantastic actresses. So when Tessa and Mariah are on, they feel familiar to me – like Traci, or Lauren, or many of the long-timers… even if they aren’t prominently featured.… Read more »
sueW, While one can appreciate your sentiments about the other characters that you mentioned. The same can not be said about Tessa and Mariah. As much as they are adored by the LGBTQIA Community. Y&R does not treat them the same as their straight couples. First to me the dialogue in the episode was very cartoonish. The movement didn’t flow(blame Director). The intimacy was not allowed. Who puts a robe on over thick pajamas. Their kiss was even blocked by a Christmas Tree. Yet, when Sally had her encounters with Nick and Adam, nothing was blocked. Furthermore, Lesbians tend to… Read more »
I agree that M&T are portrayed semi-cartoonish, good luck elves, which is why i can’t really get into them. Are they really holding down most of the Christmas episode? Did they actually receive a baby for Christmas? (see screen cap) Outrageous. But I don’t think you should resent them appearing on the X-Mas episode BECAUSE they have been given short shift the rest of the year. Them is the breaks. Many folks don’t get any airtime on this show. Look at Michael & Lauren.
Regarding Michael and Lauren. It is the actors choice not to be on full time. Christian Leblanc has a Lifetime Contract, the same for Kate Linder(Esther). But to me when Lauren and Micheal are on, the characters have depth and meaningful dialogue to play with. Not so much for T&M, with this writing team.
Your faith is definitely stronger than mine for T&M. For me, the best thing about the episode was Sharon and Tessa matching shirts.

I am captivated by the big smiles Johnny has for Chelsea! Don’t know how this bit of magic happened but Johnny & Chelsea are the ones to watch in 2023. Now THAT is a love story!
I need to see what’s inside those gifts of the Maji boxes!

Christian was born like 100 years ago and he’s still dropping the big Santa questiions on (St., if you consider him so) Nick –
So he knows how to make eggnog. And if you did just what Nick said would it taste just like Knudsons right out of the carton from the market? What about eggnog all year round? Sally really should be having a Merry Christmas with Adam this Dec. 24th, but I’m over it not to be brought up again.
I thought the same thing about Christian as well. I just googled his birthday and he was born on October 7, 2015. That makes him only 7 years of age. That is still young enough for him to believe in Santa. In Soap land 7 years seems longer of course. It is sad that we never see him at all. It doesn’t even feel like he exists. Y&R should really make time to show him every now and then to make it realistic and highlight Nick as a dad. There are way too many scenes of the characters dining out… Read more »
Christian/Sully (have I got that right?) is a boy with more of an emotional connection to the audience than say Katherine Chancellor Abbott as he had such a confusing entrance into this world as the son Sharon believed she had delivered but not so. Christian is really Sharon’s boy so cruelly stripped from her in the first months of life and now it is time to give him back. If Sully is not to be returned to Sharon’s bosom at least allow him to make a special guest appearence before her.Where is Sully???
I detected some chemistry between Tucker and Sharon. Forget Ashley, let’s put Tucker with Sharon.

Tucker is making my head snap. One minute he’s a romantic setting up a lovely outdoor picnic for Ashley. He has me thinking maybe he has “changed” and he really loves her. Then, he goes and sleeps with Audra again, yuck. And he’s stringing Audra along, too. Worse he keeps Ashley at bay, by inviting her in to shower with him, seriously. Jack is defending the wrong person. Ashley needs Jack to give Tucker 500,000 reasons to leave GC. Ashley is too far gone to do it herself.
It is very disappointing how Tucker is turning out to be. I wish the show would change his character for the better. I hope he really does start to fall for Ashley and ends his affairs with Audra.

The paddy wagon used to hoist young Nikki into for South America must have come straight from the carnival!
