I find the growing relationship between Abby and Devon yucky.sorry but it is not my cup of tea. I have been turned off with Devon many, many days/months ago when he requested to have equal parenting officially with Dominic. He volunteered to donate sperm, not to have legal rights to the child as his but the child of Abby and Chance. Then he changed….I find him too full of himself and demanding. It is appearing that all thins he is involved in must be fitted to meet his approval….now especially with Chancellor/Winters. However he has come upon Tucker’s true game… Read more »

Devon has been insufferable for so long. I agree with you. But—I am so tired of Abby being the sad afterthought of the writers. She has such a rough history when it comes to love—and it’s really not deserved. I’m not much of an Abby fan—but let’s just let her be happy already. And if that keeps Devon busy, good. Somebody has to start generating the next batch of YR children.

I’m kind of agreeing on the yucky. Ellen always refers to Nick and Sharon as ‘friend zone,’ but I”m thinking that as more apropos for Devon and Abby. (Even though they keep having sex.) Something is ‘off’ re: their being a couple… I hope Chance wants Abby back after his seems-to-be up-coming fling w/Sharon.

Oh my Jack,,you’re so caught up in the Diane drama until you cannot make rational decisions regarding her and the mess she has brought to the doors of the Abbott family. Listen to some of what Ashley is trying to tell you and spare you oncoming pain and disappointment in your blind believing in a “”changed” Diane. She came presenting after a time as “a damsel in distress” , needing protection. Then…Eureka!!! She is brave and fearless in the face of this danger/dangerous man, Jeremy Shark. You, Jack, say “it’s Phyllis’ fault yet when did it start and become a… Read more »

I wouldn’t mind a Kyle and Summer break-up. Their conflict is not believable to me as viable for the in-sync, united-front couple they supposedly have been/are. I wouldn’t mind if they moved back to Milan. (While I’d rather Summer stay, I’m kinda bored by Kyle…) Or I could go for their split: Summer could be a hot commodity on the GC singles market, as I suppose Kyle could be… if he perks up out of his morose Mommy-coma.

Ok… I’m oddly but nonetheless suddenly getting a wee bit tired of Sally… and the pregnancy… already. I hate complaining about TV of all things (why watch then, right???), so I’m just gonna call it my new ‘least favorite’ YnR story. Nick or Adam- neither baby-Daddy seems all that Earth-shattering to me. This story’s gonna quickly need some ‘oomph’ for the long haul. Sally’s agonizing is quickly becoming a snooze for me… and I’m not even sure why.

Did anyone else have their anxiety go up when Diane met Jack at the coffee house after her meet up with Jeremy?! I was waiting for Jeremy to spot them together. Why oh why would you meet up at a public place!

I hope Y&R pairs Chance with Chelsea as they were originally starting to do a few months ago. I want to see Sharon and Adam make their way back to one another as I have wanted this for a long time. I would like to see the triangle be between Sally, Adam and Sharon. There would also be turmoil with Chelsea as she would be jealous that Adam now shares a baby with Sally whom Chelsea dislikes. Where does this leave Nick you may ask? This leaves Nick available to Christine as I have always wanted!

Nick and Sharon are friend zone. It’s like an old shoe. SHADAM is hot (as long as the actors can still work together without hard feelings).

Shadam was hot! Seems like forever ago… would they be once again? I could go for them for a bit, I guess. Keeping an open mind… But gotta say, my old, well-worn shoes are my go-to – even next to my new, shiny toys (I mean footwear). And the originals will always be my tried and proven fave… ‘new’ shoes could never be the same, even when broken in over time…

It looks as though Tucker and Phyllis will be teaming up. I am very disappointed that he and Ashley will not be continuing their romance. I am sorry to be giving away Monday’s episode in the U.S. I hope Tucker can redeem himself and that after his alliance with Phyllis is all done he and Ashley can rekindle their romance. I also want Tucker to reconcile with Devon and be a part of Dominic’s life. I really enjoy Tucker’s character and hope to see him for a long time on the show.

Tucker is a welcome addition to the GC canvas. He is complicated guy with lots of angles. I never quite know what he’s thinking. I can understand why you would want Devon to welcome him back for Dominic. But it would be hard to cozy up to him, especially if he put a knife in your back.

Me too!!! I love Tucker Carson and Jeremy Stark….both men appears to ooze confidence, calm and silent strength(still waters run deep). No one can truly anticipate what the motive/plans or thoughts they may have nor any of their true plans while in Genoa City. Although Devon may be on to Tucker’s hidden agenda and/or connection to Audra. Their addition to Y&R is highly appreciated and worthwhile watching.

I loved the scene with Cricket and Danny. It is great to see classic characters connecting again after all of these years. I really enjoyed seeing the flashbacks of the two of them as well. I wish Michael Damien could be cast on the show. His visit was way too short. I am sure many fans would love to see his character back on the show. I hope we see him again in the near future!

Summer is definitely her mother’s daughter. She was so trying to manipulate Kyle with sex at the end of their conversation. But as Ellen said in a previous comment. Harrison is not hers to take anywhere. I want Tara Locke back, to take her son.

As Ali says—that would be a great twist! If the show could keep it a secret and Tara just shows up to claim Harrison? Yeah! Summer is running around calling him “her son”? Tara went away for some vague white collar crime—you don’t lose parental rights for that. Let’s do it 😉

Eileen Davidson is one of my all-time favorite YnR actresses. I always want her Ashley in the story, stirring up (often sorely-needed) sparks. I try to ignore spoilers and casting news, preferring to take GC and its soapy alternate universe at face value, but alas, the real world has led me to believe that E. Davidson is never committed to the show for long these days. Sigh. But I do hope Ashley stays and continues to poke-poke-poke at Jack, Diane, Tucker… and sure, many Chatters! Ashley sticks to her convictions – be they right or wrong (not judging here, lol)… Read more »

Yet as the she witch snarled at Jack about Diane trying to get into his bed, which has not happened. Ashley will be in Tucker’s bed next week. These women like Ashley, Nikki and Phyllis kill me. The man that they are in a relationship betrays them and they can easily forgive them. But the woman whom the man slept with must be tarred and feathered. Give me a break. The woman didn’t betray you. She owed you no allegiance. It was the man. Get your priorities straight. Also, speaking of straight. I see all the hetro couples are getting… Read more »

Yes, yes and yes!!! It’s like these women want Jack to just remain an old bachelor and grow moldy in Dina’s death chair. Jack is feeling more alive than he has in a decade —or more. Adam is running his company and Jack is focusing on the family he has always wanted—Diane, Kyle and Harrison. He didn’t see it coming but he wants it. And why oh why can’t we see some skin when Tessa and Mariah are in bed together??? We really won’t go into cardiac arrest CBS. In fact we might actually like it and TALK about it… Read more »

I’m one viewer who couldn’t care less about ‘seeing skin’ from any actors in any scene – bleh. Faked panting, choreographed shirt-pulling and belt-unbuckling along w/ trite lip-biting and leg-wrapping is just dumb to me – and never looks real despite the camera ogling (oops, probably my wrong opinion YET AGAIN, sigh). Bared and beautiful bodies are a dime a dozen these days, so whatev- on a soap or any show. JUST MHO. The days of soaps serving up titillating fare for stay-at-home housewives are long past, yet it seems stale ‘bodice-ripping’ is still requisite. But at least the lingerie… Read more »

I agree Sue W! Soap skin is so over choreographed. They can show it but I’m not going to get excited over it. The sex of the Covid period was stylish and fun to watch with the implications. I could elaborate but you have said it all and best. SueW, I respect you for not needing to see Nick Newman stripping down once again.

Gary, You say that you don’t get excited about it. But most fans still do or the soaps would stop showing them. My problem, I could care less about that too. But if Y&R are going to show the straight couples going at it everyday like rabbits, then I think it is pure censorship when Y&R doesn’t treat Tessa and Mariah the same way. And before you say that maybe the actresses are uncomfortable doing those scenes, they are not. That’s my point.

GARY

But it isn’t really true that the characters are going at it everyday like rabbits. Different types of couples present different levels of passion. i might get excited over a couple, don’t mind them showing sex, it just doesn’t give me an electric thrill. I’m like, ‘Oh. Soap Opera sex. Let me watch this choreography go down.’ I am confused that Sally Spectra does not take off her bra in the bedroom. But i think its just The Grand Phoenix sofa that pulls out. There is no ‘bedroom’ as such.

I just scrolled down to Ellen’s comment. She better simplified it for me. I don’t have a big point of view for the sex scenes actually. They add to the tapestry of the show. “I barely pay attention to the sex scenes”, is mostly how I react. If Mariah & Tessa are forced to get naked they can sue Sony for exploitation. This is Saturday night and nobody is going to see this comment but there is something in the news this very day: Who is a fan of the stunning 1968 Franco Zeferelli ROMEO & JULIET film? It caused… Read more »

But they are still serving it up and noone seems to be complaining about. Most of the viewers want more skin, just not from Mariah and Tessa, it seems. It’s being produced. So, I ask for equal representation.

I barely pay attention to the bed scenes—but the point is that Tessa and Mariah are up to their necks in Grandma’s fuzzy bathrobes in bed scenes while Devon & Abby have almost nothing on. The double standard foisted on the LGBTQ community is offensive and one of the reasons there are only 4 daytime soaps left. I’m a 63 year old white straight woman and I’m smart enough to know that. I’d like to see the real world on my screen —at least a nod to the real world anyway. Not 95% white people, 75% blue eyed (weird), 98%… Read more »

I think it’s evident to all that diversity in pretty much anything is NOT equally represented on YnR. I enjoy the show anyway. I’ve never felt the show purports itself to be a real-world representation, so I don’t have (nor want) that expectation of it. The creative writing process I respect best has free license to make-up/not make-up and include/not include stories, events, and characters of choice. Shows and stories need not be all-inclusive and ‘equal’ to be good -imho. I would have long-ago ditched YnR if this was my case. Yada, yada, I’ve said this all before, and now… Read more »

I would love it. Jack really doesn’t have the right to kick her out, but it would be so funny. Ashley giving anyone relationship advice is hysterical—she has never, ever had a successful relationship in her life. Maybe she should focus on her own situation. Her 60+ year old brother doesn’t need her trying to run his life. We don’t see Traci overstepping this way. Don’t you have some meetings in Europe Ashley? Tag along with whiny Summer.

Good question about Tucker! He begs to see Dom and then, as you say, is a little bored. Tucker didn’t raise Devon and has never been a family oriented person so maybe that explains his lackluster grandpa attitude. I hope he isn’t callous enough to just be using the grandparent angle to get closer to Devon.

Maybe if Phyllis had been held accountable for trying to murder Cricket, she wouldn’t be stomping around GC on her high horse now. Her injured party routine is pathetic. Diane was in exile for what—20 years? Give it a rest Phyllis—get a new hobby, go bother Daniel! Summer is supposedly an international business phenomenon. She doesn’t need Mommy running her personal life. Buzz off pest. And Summer—are you grown up or not? The whiny faces and groveling need to stop. Your toxic mother is not worth it.

Phyllis has a good point about Diane. Diane is manipulating most of the Abbots. She’s calling all the shots. I’m glad to hear Summer doesn’t believe everything she says. Daniel is right that Summer needs to be honest with her husband about her feelings. Discussing her feelings could prevent an ill-advised plan of Diane’s. We viewers don’t need another holiday where Traci goes up to take a bath instead of singing us a heartfelt song.
