Kinda, boring…
Did I actually see this 1st episode “live”? Took a week or so to really get hold of a beginning interest…
Liked looking at the Brook’s Victorian house. And the big deal here is that the episode is so clear & sharp! I’m amazed by that! Not so the Kay and Phillip flashbacks….
Ali, if it be you who dug up the b&w photo that highlights this feature compliments of the great Zoperflex, impressed. I have been aware of this photo most of my life, but never seen it in full out revealing backdrop mode. It’s interesting.
The actor who played Brad in the first episode later showed up to give “Phyllis” fresh out of a coma a ride to Genoa City where she was aiming to stop Sharon’s wedding to Nick.
I think they did another wink to this episode when Jeffrey had a brief memory lapse and needed a ride. I think he used the name Brad.
Now that Brad is all forgotten due to the more recent Brad Carlton.
In spite of the fact that there were many who criticized the previous writing regime, l thought that was one of the most entertaining scenes of the past few years.
If you find this content enjoyable then a big thanks should be given to ew.com for continuing to have that video online. I think that one of the most interesting observations to be made is the fact that the focus of the series changed from examining the vicissitudes of small town American life as seen from the perspective of a rich family, the Brooks, and a poor, hardscrabble family, the Fosters, to immersing the viewing audience into the annuals of fabulously rich people living within a major metropolis.
