Glad to see Ashley is still wanting a romantic relationship with Tucker as she pulled him in and kissed him passionately at the Abbott house. They have a lot of chemistry and I do believe Tucker really does care for Ashley and wants to do right by her for all the wrongs he has done in their past relationship. It seems to be a great plan of Ashley’s to buy out Tucker’s debt and have Tucker offer his company to his son Devon. This strategy is bringing Tucker’s loved ones together which is what Tucker has wanted for his life.… Read more »

Jeremy Stark…….patron saint of sexy wayward drunks in need of a partner in vengeance……who knew?

I almost laughed when Devon answered the door for Victoria and said “What the hell do you want?!” someone needs to knock that chip off his shoulder.

As for the correct job for Billy, it has come into view. Therapist. Something like Sharon. Yet there are ‘physician, heal thyself” issues. Billy would have to avoid co-dependent counciling as would not be a problem for the more principled, detached Sharon. No dark holes to fall into while you are trying to lead a patient out of one.

Or for mistaken identity trysts. Can Sally possibly mistake Adam for Nick?? Haha not likely but a girl can lie lol

Didn’t they learn their lesson with the last gala over 30 years ago. Have they forgotten the David Kimball murder plot because of the mascarade theme? What are they thinking? Phyllis and Jeremy will have something planned for this.

Nice to see Miss Viewer-Punching- Bag, who didn’t switch Sally’s paternity results, Chloe! I always enjoy her despite the often ‘annoying’ role… as far as I’m concerned, the more Elizabeth H., the better! Love or hate the character, I’m a fan of the actress.

I do love Elizabeth H. also, but for the love of God, will they give this girl something to do besides poo poo on everyone’s live life?

Enjoyed today’s exchange between Summer and Sally. Summer was pretty transparent that she would prefer Sally go back to Adam… but forthright. Manipulative? Who cares – it wasn’t all that long ago that SALLY manipulated Summer’s situation. (Yeah, yeah, no Chatters’ tears wasted on that .. ‘it all worked out’ and blah blah.) Yeah- all as initiated by Sally whose only interest was to serve herself. So Idrc if she’s now being manipulated by Summer. (Blech – I hope this doesn’t turn into Summer or someone ‘stressing Sally enough’ to result in losing the baby. Blame games take up too… Read more »

And speaking of Summer… I really like Allison L., more and more all the time. I think she’s pretty great and seems to have made Summer her own. (Not comparing to or taking anything away from Hunter K. – she’s gone! so what would be the point?)

Yes! Summer called it exactly right. I can’t believe Nick is so blind. Sally felt the ultimate hurt from Adam and is looking for a safety relationship. The most turbulent part of her relationship with Nick is the occasional run in with Victor or Summer. I really like this actress too, she’s very expressive with her body language.

Aaaaaaargh—why does Nick have to be hanging around in every conversation between Adam & Sally???? Ask for privacy Adam! Get lost Nick! Say you need to speak to Adam alone Sally! One of you must have an ounce of common sense. Please stop this idiotic awkward three way stammering! It’s all about hurting Adam and I’m not a fan. A baby and co-parenting require maturity and cooperation—not this middle school hallway drama.

Loved the episode with Diane’s dream. It was funny, it was light. I saw Eileen Davidson’s DOOL acting come out in the beginning. The music stood out from the usual Y&R background music that we hear. The scenes also made me appreciate the set more.

When Jack & Diane, two mature, sensible people, made the decision to frame J Stark as a jewel thief, because it was not murder, did they not realize that soon enough he would be getting out of prison again? Certainly a lot sooner than Tara Locke, long term incarcerated for passing a bad check. What did they think would happen then? This is one of the most short sighted, ill advised plans by characters who should know better in the history of soaps. At this point he is REALLY going to be mad. But Victoria is calling Jeremy a cream… Read more »

The writing is so inconsistent. Tara loses everything—her freedom and apparently her parental rights and the love of her flaky son—for what exactly??? Nick commits involuntary manslaughter—and—nothing. Jeremy—a felon out on parole—is at a minimum stalking & threatening someone who provided evidence to the Feds that put him away, was suspected of theft, then returned to do more stalking—and that’s fine too??? Nope, not logical.

HELP ! Earlier in the week I weighed in on my suggestion for the “Teriah Baby’s” name—“HARMONY” and my reasoning was quite clever if I say so myself——-here is where I need help. Wasn’t HARMONY Devon’s biological mother’s name? Ali, what say you?

If my memory serves me well, Devon‘s mothers name was Harmony. Just as you suspected.

Thanks Victoria! I did a little more research and found that to be the case as well. Anywho, I would really be surprised if my suggestion [HARMONY] is what they decide.

The baby girl will probably never get a real name and will just be called Female, pronounced Fe-Molly.

Thanks Gary! I did a little more digging and found that to be true as well. However, good catch on refreshing my memory on the actresses’ real name, Debbie Morgan. She was already a “Seasoned Soap Star” when she came to Y&R that’s for sure.

Ashley and Traci being so sugary-sweet was so over the top. I typically don’t like fantasy sequences, but this was very clever. I don’t believe Jeremy Stark is much of a threat. Michael and Kevin Baldwin were much more threatening in their day. Even, Victor was is a bigger threat. This is all blunder and no action.

I sure hope it is not in the cards for Jack and Diane not to make it to the altar. I am enjoying their romance and reconnection as well as coming back into Kyle’s life as his parents……Not sure how long Harrison will be a part of the blissful reunion however because I truly want Tara Locke to return. Well, as they say, “I can’t have my own cake and eat it too” or something like that.

Not me! as answer to your provoking (albeit rhetorical, lol) question. Reflecting on Diane’s story – and others… CLEARLY, YnR is often ridiculous, w/inane leaps of logic, and ‘smh’ characters. Well-written? Realistic? Popular? Ahahahahaha! Imho, ‘bad’ or ‘out-of’favor’ writing is obvious to anyone w/common sense. I sure don’t watch soaps for ILLUSTRIOUS writing, lol. (But I do give props to YnR writers for – mostly – employing correct grammar; GC is certainly full of pretentious AND quite well-spoken blatherers not particularly representative of real-life folks these days…) I love YnR in the soap lane that it is; the actors are… Read more »

Humor us, sueW because being mad at the outcome of a plot is part of the fun for those of us less evolved soap fans. If this were vaudeville we could throw fruits and vegetables at the actors on stage but it’s not so we like to fold our arms and threaten to withdraw viewership.

Y & R would be making such a bad move if they axed Susan Walters. The character Diane has revived this show. Diane can be infuriating with her “I’ve changed” soliloquies, but I enjoy watching all of her scenes. I believe the Jeremy Stark threat will fizzle away and Diane and Jack will be happy in their “little” Abbott home soon, just in time for the 50th anniversary.

From your mouth to God’s ears. Maybe J&D can be tormented, held hostage by Jerry until a 50th anniversary rescue and then it is party down!
Victoria, I like all your observations in your post. You nail the Diane appeal in simple terms. Annoying and enjoyable over simply annoying.

TINA, I have long been fascinated by the quality of all the CHAT comments. Ali raises the bar, but the Chatters bring it onto the table. Everyone is incredible. And the only thing I can really find with ease are the buses. They are painted bright yellow! Those indamnable little cube pictures. Am I stupid or are they sometimes so murky you don’r know if you’re looking at a car or a boat. I only have so much patience to line up the crosswalks. Its not that I can’t do it, I just get annoyed in being asked to and… Read more »

Gary, I feel your frustration. I would have to turn my phone horizontally as the pictures and verify button would not line up on my screen and half of them would be off screen. When I flipped it horizontally, it would disappear, playing hide and seek.

YES! A walk-out is definitely warranted if Diane (Susan W) leaves. The only return that could possibly top hers would be Drucilla (I’m still holding out hope there). Such is life though, Y&R loses me every so often, but inevitably I return.
