Not caught up yet although I see Doane saves Ashley’s life), but I’ve decided not to vote. Cop-out! But – I’m 50/50 on this question as I see good story potential either way (nor will I bash Josh G. for whichever way he takes it). So I think Diane and Ashley s/be ‘frenemies’: civil, tolerant, making nice… and all w/some degree of sincerity, growing more comfortable w/the other as neither rocks the boat. Yet, under the surface each will keep a wary eye on the other – both w/claws ready to pounce and maim at the slightest show of turncoat… Read more »

I voted friends just because it would be something different. These two women have the opportunity of becoming friends. They each need a friend and confidante so let’s see how it works.

I’m ready to see them as friends. Think it would be much more interesting to have Abbots versus Newmans again. Victoria could come up with a new cosmetic line for Katie, similarly to Brash and Sassy. Since we don’t know many of the holdings of these companies, they could come up with some other similarities. Victor versus Jack was so classic. Why don’t we choose a few from the next generation to make our new match up. Another good match up would be Nikki versus Diane.

PLEASE I beg of the (striking) writers, put an end to this “Diane is the root of all evil” nonsense. I can barely stand to watch any of the scenes that center on the witches of GC snarking at Diane over decades old grievances or unfounded fears. Just stop it, you ridiculous privileged women, and do something productive with your lives. Jackie Boy is fine, Jabot is fine, Diane is fine. The real problem is Phyllis, Ashley and Nikki acting like lunatics who haven’t done bad things on par with what Diane did once upon a time. Let’s move on!… Read more »

I have lost track of why Ashley is such an enemy of Diane. Phyllis is an enemy because Phyllis has always been insecure. And Dianne had a son with Jack and boldly claimed Jack away from Phyllis. Nicki is an enemy because Diane faked her death and let Nicki be blamed for y-e-a-r-s. But Ashley is carrying the torch of anger just because of Jabot? I don’t feel the sentiment she is demonstrating.
However, I would like them to continue to be on opposite sides of everything, and not friends.
