My WISH for the endless Sally & the Newman Brothers saga… I want Nick to MESS UP. Nick is a good guy, but we all know he’s not perfect. And he’s so sanctimonious and weirdly possessive about Sally. (She doesn’t need protection from Adam!) But Sally thinks he’s perfect and has put him on some pedestal to justify why she’s choosing him over Adam. So, let’s have Nick mess up. I want Sally and Adam to get back together not because of a mistake, but because they both want to be together. Side note: wouldn’t it be fun if Summer… Read more »

I really had to laugh when Nick so righteously and indignantly said Adam Crossed The Line! Like he didn’t when he started pursuing Sally knowing full well his brother was in love with her? give me a break.

I know we’ll get more angles of the wedding fashion next week, but here are som einitial thoughts:

– Diane – always classy
– Summer – stunning
– Abby – stunning x2
– Sharon – ummm, did they do that on purpose? We know she can look way more “va va voom” than that!

So these are Diane’s friends & family. I will watch the episode tomorrow. Jenkins Abbott is a pink Greek goddess from behind.

My..My..My…Did you noticed the look on Kyle’s face when he saw Summer appeared to beamed when she spotted Chance. He looked pained as if he could not accept or believe Summer has “moved on” or he is no longer the “center of her universe”. It was always okay for him to constantly say that their marriage is over with such arrogance, there is no forgiveness for Summer’s betrayal and to flaunt his affair with Audra, but to witness that it is truly over in the eyes of Summer was a reality I don’t think Kyle was ready for or think… Read more »

People really still think Diane is running some long con on Jack. That is not the story they are telling. I like seeing Jack so happy at long last. If they turn Diane bad it will be such a cruel twist. Leave them alone!!! However, there may be some friction if Diane doesn’t ease up where Kyle is concerned. Kyle is not entitled to be co-CEO. He can find a division to run, I’m sure. Maybe men’s hair products? He can test everything personally in that thick mane of his and serve as Jabot spokesmodel too.

Yes, at this point let Jack and Diane have their happiness. It looks good on both of them. Jack hasn’t been in a loving relationship for a while. This is a nice change. Cheers, to Jack and Diane.

Agreed! Make Jack and Diane a bit more like Nikki and Victor – head of the household and they can be involved in business and the drama of their families.

I think that’s the idea actually phasing Jack and Diane in to take the place of Nikki and Victor. I mean I love Victor to pieces through all the good, bad and ugly of the years and it will never be the same without him but eventually he has to retire.

I read somewhere that Mamie’s big secret may involve the return of “DRU” and I truly hope that will not be true. I would have truly enjoyed “DRU” to come back while Neil was still an integral part of the cast. Since that can’t happen now, I don’t see a return of “DRU” having any significance!

Great point, though Lily may like it. Lily needs to move on from rejecting Nate. Not true to her character. He didn’t even screw her family over. He had a moment of weakness but caved in the end offering a full confession of contriteness before any takeover was done. Bravo. There was a B&W flashback between Nathan & Lily this week that I liked and don’t remember having seen originally. In this Nate tells Lily to get over the anamosity and move on. Not sure how this fit in to the conversation but he points up how Devon was able… Read more »

Apparently, the fashion statement for the week was bling, glitz, and glitter. Diane and Lily rocked the shiny fabric. Mamie and Jill rocked the glitter. Nicki’s pants were a no, but Y & R fashion is spot on and I can’t wait for Jack and Diane’s wedding reception.

Wouldn’t this be a wonderful 50th anniversary if Mamie was talking to Drusilla. Now she could really unite the family.

No! I know that was a rhetorical question but I had to respond. I hope that the character of “Dru” will never return. That ship has sailed!

A great chatter with a point of view. Good luck nabbing the quote of the week on Sunday.

Great to hear from you, Henry. I thought of Dru because she could give the show some sass and be a good sounding board for Devon regarding Tucker. I liked her character, although at times, she was a bit much. But you’re probably right, that ship has sailed, especially with the execs at Y & R.

Mamie’s return got me thinking. Adam needs a wise adult in his life who can offer their experience. Hope would have been such a great support to Adam, but alas, it’s not possible. Maybe Mamie could be that for him. Mamie could add some “motherly” advice and wake up calls, when needed. But most importantly, she could give him positive feedback and assurances. Sharon use to fill this role, but is occupied with her new business now.

I like that idea Victoria! And it would give Adam some non NE characters to interact with. I like his talks with Jack but that hasn’t happened very much. Adam needs a friend. Since SNA Sharon & Chance haven’t been friends to Adam. They just badmouth him now. I liked Chance & Adam as friends but they barely developed it. The town makes it sound like Adam is hitler! He has barely done anything bad in the last few yrs. And I don’t count a little blackmail (where no one was hurt) as something very bad. Phyllis, Nick & Sharon… Read more »

In Mamie’s hotel suite on Thursday, could she have been talking and laughing with “Billy” or with “Tucker”? Am I way off the mark with my guesses? Does anyone else suspect who it must be?

Whoever it was, Mamie knew them very well. Their conversation was very intimate. Someone that comes to mind is Lily Bell Barber, her sister or Leanna Love, who was no fan of Jill.

I watched a montage clip for Billy Miller and put it on the memorial page. Billy Miller brought out something special in Amelia Heinlie as Victoria. Their love story is my favorite thing about Y&R. I’ll put the link here also. https://youtu.be/3TDlP8RNcZ8?si=Dmj3lh5jSvpzY22h

Hard to imagine brittle Victoria forced to deal with a seemingly light hearted person back when. With her current Nathan Hastings she is soulless. Not to be blamed on him.

Mamie & Jill: WHO WORE IT BEST?

Now that it’s fall, it would be nice to see some outdoor scenes as we have seen in the past. A fall fair or a trip to a farm with some hay and and pumpkins. We don’t always need drama and deep conversations. We always appreciate the scenery. I wonder if Y&R will have a halloween episode this year. It has been a long time now. What should the characters dress up as? It would be fun if Y&R could splurge since they are saving money with all of the flashbacks and make a set for Jaboat. Adam could save… Read more »

What do I do to keep my dog Blaine from peeing on the blow-up defating Halloween decoratiobns on a front lawn at 6am as they are taking their last gasp? Better dog management, I know.

Remember when Sharon had the vintage Christmas light ups on her front lawn a couple of years ago? Do you think she will have them up this year? I’m thinking no.

Adam should dress as the devil the way everyone in town vilifies him. Victoria should be the witch. Nick animal control officer the way he tells Sally what to do. Nikki should be an evil step mom like in a disney movie…maybe the one from snow white?

LOL—too funny! It would be just like Adam to lean into the devil costume & he would be very handsome in it, horns and all. Nick could carry a big net and leash to keep Sally the stray cat under control. Nikki and Victoria could both do Disney villains—carrying big poison apples around town. A big Halloween week would be fun—the show is a bit grim. We may not get it though.

I t would be nice and satisfying as well to actually see Phyllis doing her community service. Lets see Phyllis picking up garbage around the town or cleaning toilets. We should be seeing Phyllis paying some kind of penalty. She hasn’t even mentioned what her community service is? I feel like Y&R has dropped the ball on this as it seems they just want us to forget about what she was sentenced at the hearing.

Just guessing. I believe she has 60 days to sign up but she probably won’t. Heather is not around to push her but Danny could guilt her onto the freeway. We all saw how the changed woman has no interest in cleaning toilets for her sons company. It is hard to figure Y&R dropping this ball with its comic potential.

They could make them funny scenes! I’m down for that instead of Phyllis’ whining all the time or her crocodile tears.

Yeah—she’s been “working so hard to change” for all of 30 seconds, but she’s already fed up. LOVED when Danny told her it wasn’t other people’s job to make her happy. PREACH. Grow up Phyllis.

i found this clip of Lily Belle. I can’t believe what a horrible mother she was to Drucilla and what she says to her about not wanting the pregnancy. You can see for yourself what her character was like. Her look is rather unnerving as I mentioned before. I remember when she was living with Nate and Olivia. I don’t remember what she did but I do recall she tried to cause trouble for them. It was a compelling story line.

Amazing clip. I forgot all about the scene. You’re right it was compelling. Now it makes me wonder why Mamie would’ve named her investment holdings after Lily Belle.

Yes good point. Why would she do that? She was a terrible mother.
