You know what’s the worst thing that can happen when a woman has to change from her normal favorite purse to a smaller dressy clutch?? She has to leave her bottle at home and go back to a flask!!

Didn’t want to jump on Henry’s fantastic comment! But I couldn’t wait and had to reveal my favorite fashion offerings at Victor and Nikki’s party today! Summer was my favorite! She is just beautiful on her own; and the dress was amazing! Sally was also beautiful with her bright green, off the shoulder dress against her long straight red hair! Last but not least; Nikki looked beautiful with rhinestone studded hairdo and beautiful dress in a beautiful shade of blue! (Hey, not to mention the gorgeous Ruby ring presented by Victor!) Abby’s look did border a bit on ‘poorly fitted lingerie’ for me. And… you go, girl!… that look is all the rage in Prom fashion today! (Well, if not the point/counter-point of ‘demure, poofy-princess.’) So really, I guess, Abby is actually too old for any such nonsense… I’ll chalk her look up to a sincere swing, but ultimate ‘miss” for bringing the appropriate vibe. (Whatever the heck that is, anyway, lol!)
Sorry, sueW! Not trying to disagree with you or anyone else! We all have our favorites—–and I love sequins! LOL My loving sequins and rhinestones and also my not knowing Abby was dressed like Prom fashion today only shows “I really am old!” LOL (And out of touch!) LOL My getting older has definitely helped me to laugh at my own mistakes; even though shaving off 20 years and trying those as a do over would be acceptable to me, if possible. Hey, sequins are quite popular, (except in my sparkly buzzkill opinion, lol)… just not my thing, nor could I ever pull them off, lol… but I do enjoy them on ice-skating costumes! LOL! (Never too many Lols for me, lol!) Abby’s ice-blue was def a perfect color for her beautiful self. I did think all the dress colors were lovely (although maybe not so much re: Diane’s glaring purple…)
sueW, thanks so much for your last comment! I laughed for a solid five minutes and had to dab away my tears of laughter!! You said you enjoy sequins on ice-skating costumes!! LOL—-me too! Then you mentioned Diane’s glaring purple dress…..too funny again!! The very dark purple against Diane’s fair skin was too stark of a contrast! (I’m not a purple fan; my favorite color is orange which many people would object to)! And, Lauren’s dress was orange…..but it was not my favorite. I am reminded of Abby’s near topless wedding dress when she married true love Justin Gaston at the Chancellor mansion. “When will you find love?” sings Traci Abbott. (the marriage would not work out)

I don’t know how in the world I missed the near topless wedding dress? Was I looking at Victor in the background? LOL
Each YnR woman is undeniably gorgeous in whatever she wears (or don’t wear, lol). But I wasn’t wowed by today’s party fashions. Sally’s and Dianne’s dresses were too gaudy for me (I HATE sequins), and I found Nikki’s clunky jewelry and crystal hair-net strangely distracting. Lauren’s dress was attractive, but w/too much side-boob threat. Summer, Abby, and Claire… pretty, and pretty good, but I’ll give ‘best-dressed’ to Victoria, as I always appreciate her knock-out beauyy that doesn’t look contrived nor pose and movement conscious. Imho, Victoria’s under-stated look was par-for-her-effortless-course of ‘wearing fashion’ that doesn’t ‘wear her’…
The guys? (Eh -what’s w/the tired bowties???) For me, today’s classic black-and-whites just faded most guys into handsome ‘whatevs’ (as they generally should be, lol). Dark-on-dark is nice, but getting to be snoozily predictable for Adam, so I’ll go w/Cole for the best -dressed today. He wore his dress-up duds quite effortlessly, as if he couldn’t care less how his handsomeness was on blazing display… now THAT’s what I call attractive!
Thumbs down on bon vie’ vont Michael Baldwin! Tone it down and stop showing off, dude

These are great observations to make you head of ELLEGANCE magazine, Nikki’s rag of choice.
Y&R never disappoints in glamorous parties. The gowns were fabulous! Harrison was adorable in his little tux, but it reminded me that the other grandchildren were absent from such a milestone event.
Great point! While I’m not big on awkwardly forcing supporting characters on viewers, other grandchildren (steps? halfs? I forget who’s who, lol) could/SHOULD have been there. L Connie, you’re right in that the anniversary event wasn’t just another (yawn) ‘let’s party,’ but truly a milestone for all V+N’s family and friends to honor and celebrate.
I would have enjoyed seeing more scenes from V+N’s first wedding (and early romance) alternated w/today’s scenes. I loved today’s shot of the happy couple then shown w/their first wedding pic. 40 yrs! (But who’s counting those pesky years of other marriages, lol.) Maybe Monday’s show will give us some sweet, relevant moments. Congratulations, Victor and Nikki!
I really wanted this party to serve dinner; so Jordan could sneak in as a waitress! Maybe that would have been too stale; or maybe writers thought too close to Claire’s elaborate birthday dinner party!
SueW, I have seen plenty of Nikki’s first wedding and was happy with just the dance cuts showcasing the then vs. now. Did Nikki seem a little shaky at her 40th?
Victor’s security team all should be fired! So whack! It was stated that his men had all entries covered and yet, “Mr. Jordan ” could not be noticed at the flicking front entrance, etc????? On another note, the new Harrison looks like a good fit, albeit it was just our first look at him.
The ladie’s gowns were outstanding! I can feel a poll coming from Ali on who was the best dressed. That would be a hard one! If I had to pick or vote on the best dressed, Summer gets my vote! She was stunning from head to toe! I don’t feel any of the ladies would deserve a worst dressed vote. As far as the gentleman’s attire, Nick gets my vote.
Everyone did look fantastic. My favorite gown was Abbi‘s. She was stunning in powder blue. Chance would get my vote for best formal wear. He was very dashing.
Has anyone read anywhere that Eileen Davidson/aka Ashley is leaving the Young and the Restless? She [Eileen] is doing an excellent job portraying the mental illness scenario. That’s what concerns me. Will she be sent to “Fairview” or some other long term mental facility thus making her exit from the Y&R? Since there is no quick fix for her illness, where could the writers take it from here? I wouldn’t be surprised if this entire storyline wasn’t hatched as a way of Ashley being removed from the show or at least for an extended hiatus.
Eileen Davidson is ALWAYS leaving the show. No real commitment. Don’t believe what you read til you see it.
Makes sense to me overprotective Kyle and Summer would bring Harrison to the anniversary party celebrating the night of Victor and Nikki’s first wedding. All of Jordan’s prey is in attendance. Reassuringly, Victor’s top-notch security team is there. What could go wrong? There is no greater threat than Claire, right. How about the fact that this marks the night Eve, Jordan’s her sister, tried to poison Nikki. Of course, Jordan won’t show up. All is calm and safe. I’m sure the fire alarms and all doors will open outside. No trouble here.
Previews shows Claire may have taken Harrison. Could Jordan be involved?
Canada is one day ahead. A the end of it, my son said “we have to wait thevwhole weekend!” Stay tuned.
The preview really was riveting! I hope they realize that Jordan has them both! My hope is that Claire will rescue Harrison thus breaking the ice with Summer.
I think Jordan took them both! But throughout the show today; I kept thinking that Jordan had already put an explosive into Harrison’s backpack! (But notice, Adam was not standing with Sally when Victor and Nikki were having their wedding dance! So there “is” plenty of time for Adam to save both of them!!! After all, he may have seen Jordan whisk Claire and Harrison away at the end of a “weapon”)!!!!!
No worries! Nick was on it, lol! Thank goodness he briefed the security goons!
One of the week’s most impressive was when Ashley pointed up to Traci that she is the more beautiful as defined and highlighted by their father, John Abbott.
Revenge-Ashley has no conscience.
It’s great that Sharon makes the occasional house call. I loved that Mean Ashley mentioned something about Sharon pouring coffee.

I did a deep dive into Ashley’s mental health history as I had mentioned recently that I remember Ashley and the previous actor who played Tucker covering up her mental state during a press conference. It seems that Ashley had a brain aneurysm in 2015 and her family urged her to have surgery which was seeming successful. To my understanding, Ashley collapsed at Abby and Stitch’s wedding in 2016 as she suffered a seizure. Apparently she tried to hide her illness from everyone. Dr. Neville – aka Tad the Cad! (Tad was great on AMC…and I really only remember thinking Dr. Neville was an oddball on YnR.) I’ll always remember Ashley’s breakdown after her abortion – pretty harrowing stuff. And I def remember her breakdown when Adam was gaslighting her. Oh yeah… and then today’s ‘poor-mistreated-by-his-family-but our-hero-nonetheless’ Adam stole Sharon’s baby to pass off as Ashley’s… and yada, yada, yada… more heck raining down on the lovely Ms.Abbott forevermore.
