Much has been said about Josh Morrow’s tribute. What I liked about it was when he sat down with his parents and expressed his appreciation to them both, etc. I found this to be a real-life appreciation to Melody and Eric letting them know that it has been “cool” portraying their son for 30 years on Y&R.

Surprised to learn that Trevor St. John, aka, Tucker McCall will be leaving. Will the character of Tucker McCall be eliminated, or will there be a recast? I would like to see a recast. Based on recent storylines involving Tucker it could appear that he will meet with some kind of untimely situation, but hopefully not death! If that were to happen that would answer my own question—-no recast. This is going to interesting.
I hope if we are losing the character of Tucker McCall than we are getting back the beloved character of Theo Vanderway! They are similar in some ways when you think about it. They both are cool characters that have a casual sense of humour and are kind of “Eddie Haskell’ like. They know how to smooze you over with their wit and charm.
Would love to see Theo come back, always enjoyed his character. Tucker is a good character too, but mostly in the way Trevor played him, was witty, menacing, funny, he did it all

I loved the scene where Victor was speaking with Devon at the park and he was telling Devon that he just watched his grandson’s soccer game. He said that he scored the winning goal just Ronaldo. Devon then repeated what Victor said. I was very pleasantly surprised as we very rarely hear the characters talk about sports or real life athletes. I found this to be refreshing as the characters are always talking about business, relationships or scheming. It felt like a natural and realistic conversation that is relative to what is going on in real life currently as the… Read more »

Y&R did a wonderful job recapturing Josh Morrow’s role as Nick for the past 30 years! I have to say that Josh, Sharon Case, Michelle Stafford, Eric Braeden and Melody Thomas Scott have aged so well (of course hair and makeup help); but they are even more attractive than in their youth! And my observation is also that the old stories were good; but a lot of the stories had a lot of sadness in them for years! I’m more of a fan of the shows in recent years than in the past shows. (Another bravo to Y&R about the… Read more »
Imho, J.Morrow was soooo laughably ‘green’ when he joined YnR. And in embracing that rawness, the actor came to both develop his talent and define his character. JM is now a top-notch, natural soap star who’s made Nick Newman an integral, legacy character. Reminds me to give ‘grace in judgement’ to the up-and-comers, lol, – they may be tomorrow’s stars! P.S. not to ignore S.Case: she is gorgeous, uber-talented, and the ageless heart of the beloved Sharon Newman (or whatever the character’s latest name is, lol).
As I look back on the flashbacks you can see that some of the characters have had nose surgeries. I have noticed this with many numerous characters but I now also think NIck has as well. His nose and lips He looked a little different when he younger and now his nose looks a little more chiseled and defined. He is a very good looking guy for sure!
I liked Josh morrow’s retrospect as Nick. Was nice to see him as a young man when he started. Together with Sharon were one Y&R’s best couples. But they weren’t meant to last, I guess. The old storylines were great. Their relationship was never the same after Cassie died, especially Nick having an affair with Phyllis.

Wow, just Wow! Today’s walk down memory lane with Sharon and Nick was excellent! The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly format was so well done and I enjoyed seeing the backstory clips that were new to me as well as the flashbacks that remind me of why I love this show.

This temper tantrum that Kyle is throwing about his Mother’s position at Jabot makes no sense. He is the one that told his Father to give her the job, because he was not ready to be back in charge. I remember the conversation. They were all sitting at the round table at Society. This storyline of Victor seeking revenge on Jack, with the help of Kyle and Adam is STUPID. Kyle has already betrayed Jack by working for Victor before at Newman Media and they FIRED HIM. Victor literally told Kyle that he didn’t belong with his company because he… Read more »
I don’t think Devon is yucky-gooey… Abby IS a pretty girl: as long as she loves Devon (which won’t last forever, lol) she can feel good that he adores and only ‘has eyes’ for her (until he doesn’t, lol). ‘My Beauty’ was a whole different thing; sadly – but I don’t believe deliberately – at the expense of young Traci’s already fragile self-esteem. And what about Victor’s ‘My Baby,’ lol??- a big point of contention w/many viewers, but heck, Idrc what lovers call each other…
There’s why it’s an ick thing! John Abbott was (thought he was) Ashley’s Father. The my beauty seems a mixed message thing for me. Too personal or too non-parental type of reference. If you say you are a beauty is different from saying you are MY beauty. Just my opinion.
I’m onboard with the live and let live approach, just saying I’m more the Nick kinda guy that doesn’t have to use “nick”-names to greet those I care about.
Oh, Ron. In the beginning of Y&R Snapper Foster, William Grey Espy, called the object of his affection, “Pretty Lady”. The Y&R scribes couldn’t let this phrase go and not too long after Tom Selleck who played Lorie Brook’s book agent would always call her “Pretty Lady”. Over the years, although we have a different set of writers it still pops up from time to time. It has always been a very awkward turn of phrase to me – I would not write that endearment for anyone to say – it stands out to me like a sore thumb –… Read more »
Ha! A nod to the Hoff. I never would’ve made that connection, but it’s interesting Snapper is helping Jill out with her treatments right now. Maybe he’s calling her “Pretty Lady” to boost her spirits! Thanks Gary.
Audra…..it has happened that your smile turned into s frown!! Ouch, what a bruising you got!!! All your dreams and plans regarding Glissade is moot!!! Tucker gave you the company free and clear but you was so arrogant and filled with contempt that you failed to see it was more of a winner than what you’re now a part of. So sad but you “made you bed so now you’ve got to lie in it”. Tucker wasn’t as “bad” as you thought and you weren’t was smart as you thought….you should have remember the fatal end your best bud Nate… Read more »
Imho….I think he was being honest in saying it to Audra with no strings attached, accepting defect in losing Glissade. In my observation of Tucker’s relationship and behavior towards those he cares deeply about, he does not try to purposely hurt or mislead in his feelings for them and what he was best for them. He loved his son even though he was reject but he never acted out of cruelty to him and neither did he do so the Audra. So I don’t find that he was lying…he lost…she won….it was over personally and professionally.
Appreciate your take on Tucker. But I see it a little differently. There certainly is emotional abuse involved. For example: Tucker revengefully took over Chancellor Industries in a hostile stock takeover from Katherine. He initiated the divorce from Ashley, as soon as she told him her plans to remain in the family business. Tucker is impulsive at times, but almost always self-centered.
I agree that Tucker always puts himself 1st. I think Audra always puts herself 1st. So win, lose, or draw – I don’t feel too bad/so sad for either of them. They each approach life as one big chess game… much the same as Victor does…
I believe Tucker was being genuine and honest with being willing to give Audra the company. She made a HUGE MISTAKE, getting involved with Victor. This viper would eat his own, if it suited him. Just ask Adam.

Don’t think the siblings received their gifts which was cagey on Claire’s part. It would only have made Katie more contemptuous, though Johnny might have liked the new red lunch box.

What is Lily’s overall motive? She met with Billy and they came to an agreement to separate the companies allowing Devon to run Winters and she would stay with Chancellor in a co-CEO position with Billy(along with the name changed to Abbott-Chancellor). They toasted to the plan with the most expensive champagne in stock at Society, however when she gets back to the office, she says to Devon and Nate, “I have Billy exactly where I want him”. Lily is making some corporate moves openly and probably some covertly….I’m really cannot wait to see what is going on with her… Read more »

Good things are worth waiting for: Faith returns tomorrow with all other options having run out!
And Johnny is a fashion trend setter. Check out that shirt! Along with all the witty repartee w/ mom, the old dinosaur, that made Victoria laugh. Really laugh! Check her out with the biggest belly full she has ever had on the show! Grde: A+. Victoria Newman, who knew you would turn out not to be so bad after all.

Note to wardrobe: Please stop dressing Hayley Erin in “Little House on the Prairie” clothing. We get it. Claire missed her childhood. We know Claire is trying to get as much “Mommy and Daddy” time as she can. Hayley Erin deserves to wear beautiful, stylish clothes and the viewers would like a chance to admire them.
Where is the show going with this wardrobe from the 1800’s to make her look sweet and innocent. Looks very phony and unnatural. Nobody anywhere wears this top

I can’t believe katie is worrying that her new big sister may murder the whole family in their beds. Although that’s what I would be thinking. I have probably over judged what is but a sullen teenager. But is she really just going to mope around the house all summer?

Lol, it makes ‘Kyle-sense.’ I don’t think his handsomely-encased brain is capable of much past the short term…

Oh, but the question is would Tucker had really given over Glissade as he said. Tucker a man of his word, I think not.
