Even prior to the events of this week, i think Ashley’s story is my preference. I found it more entertaining and compelling. Sharon’s is dark and twisty, and now sad, over the top, and tragic.

Most of all, i liked how the Abbott family and Tucker were on to Ashley and calling her out while being supportive. Sharon’s family on the other hand should go to jail for negligence!

SHARON’S mental health crisis makes Ashley’s look like a walk in the park. Thursday’s episode leaves no doubt that Sharon has more than crossed over into a very dark place!

I’m not sure one is better than the other. The Ashley storyline was interesting because I liked the multiple personalities being done by one actress and the bed scene as representative of each to help stage the personalities in a rare disorder. The audience was challenged to see who was out on any given day. The Sharon storyline is interesting because of the dialogue of an imaginary character that we can see. One actress is interacting with real and imaginary characters and the scenes are In familiar places. Sharon off her meds for bipolar is more relevant to most viewers… Read more »

SHARON. She is an established, mainstay resident of GC, while Ashley has come and gone several times. Therefore, Sharon’s crisis has had a domino-effect: sucking in so many characters on so many levels, while Ashley’s affected a much smaller circle. And Sharon’s desperation has been consistently palpable; Ashley’s was at times, but low-key or then near comedic at other times and ultimately continued off-screen. Imho, Sharon’s m.h. story is the more compelling…

That said, I am always and forever a huge Eileen D. fan and always love when she’s back acting the heck out of whatever story she’s given. She’s an amazing talent.

Sharon’s crisis is more believable to viewers because we know her back stories. We witnessed the trauma and drama of Cassie’s death, and Cameron’s harassment. Ashley had something in her past that caused her crisis, but they never explained what it was. If the audience knew what it was, and remembered it while she was having episodes, we would have been more engaged.

A comment on the cookie poll. Ali likes soft, chocolate chip cookies. Recipes indicate a chocolate chip cookie is cooked perfectly if the cookie is done, and the chips remain melty. Oven temp and time in contribute to that. However, I prefer oatmeal, no add-ins. and I like them thin and crispy, maybe dunked in an Americano from the Crimson Lights.

I love Sharon’s better, due to Cameron’s involvement.

I think Sharon’s story is better. Except I don’t like the whole Cameron as a manifestation. Hope they conclude this before Daniel or Lucy gets hurt

But the whole part of Cameron is to give Sharon an out, when she takes out Daniel.

Sharon has a more believable mental health problem and I think we will have a resolution for her. Ashley is reportedly getting better but apparently we will never know what trauma created each of her dissociative personalities. So it’s hard to care much about Ashley and her alters. We have no idea what happened. We do know exactly what sad and terrible things happened to Sharon. Cameron talking to Sharon is much more fun than seeing Ashley morph into an alternate personality.
