I am catching up with more episodes of the show and must say that I really enjoyed the Valentine episode. I thought it was very clever of the show to have all the couples that are still just friends right now be highlighted in this episode. It was fun to watch the characters that have not been intimate in a very long time, being romantic in a dream sequence. I thought this was genius as it gave us a glimpse of what these couples could look like if they got back together. We were able to indulge into the character’s… Read more »

The fact that Valentines day and all the other holidays on the show are in line with real life time lines, is why the whole story of Sharon being trapped under the sewer since New Years Eve was ridiculous. It doesn’t make sense that only particular story line doesn’t line up with real time. I feel the need to point this out and I hope that Y&R remembers this for any future story lines Please make the story lines somewhat believable.

Earlier in the week, I was missing the Valentine’s Day decorations; however, it was worth the wait. Friday was fun and I knew it was a dream, I just couldn’t figure out who it was that was dreaming. A mystery scene that makes you want to skip ahead but, you resist because you don’t want to spoil the ending. Surprise! It was more than one dream and a fun ride complete with all the romance and the chapter ended with a great line…”Where the hell did that come from?” Happy Valentine’s Day Y&R fans! ❤️
The excessive number of candles gave the plot away. Had it been reality, smoke detectors would have sounded and sprinkler systems would have drenched everyone ruining the celebrations.

What a fantastic Y&R Friday bonanza! Enjoyable trip down memory lane for the star crossed lovers who had all pledged their undying love to each other; but now find themselves alone. And I unapologetically reveal my weakness at thinking it wasn’t a dream; and that Sally was back to declare her everlasting love for Adam! She seemed so sincere; and her expression of love and devotion filled her face! Like Ali and other Chatters, I concur that Sally and Billy don’t seem like the best fit. But I still continue to believe that Adam and Sally’s relationship is in the… Read more »
I’m right there with you! I was taken in by Sally’s tears and plea “am I too late?” Adam’s face showed all the emotions of confusion, fear, regret, love for Sally. Nick and Sharon fooled me with their tenderness. Only Phyllis seemed not real, I couldn’t believe she fly to Paris that quickly.
No doubt, Adam and Sally have more passion; however, I think Sally and Billy give each other unconditional support and understanding as well as keeping each other grounded in a healthy balance of free spirit vs. self induced chaos.
I think Sally would be a fool to ever take Adam back: he’s hurt her too many tines, unintentionally or not. But I guess that would mirror many real-life relationships of a million get-back-togethers w/someone who hurts you. The heart – and the bod, lol – wants what the heart wants. (Even when the brain knows better.)
The multiple dream sequences in the February 14 (US) episode had me wondering whether Crimson Lights had a special Valentine’s Day Coffee infused with Sharon’s distinctive blend of PCP. I was a little worried early on if Billy had the blend flown in to Paris, but it seems it was Phyllis who had downed the happy cuppa.
If I lived in Genoa City, I would be bringing my own brew to encounters at Crimson Lights!
I like Sharon and Nick together. They share a lot of history. But I don’t want to see them in a romantic relationship. It doesn’t do anything to storyline. I prefer them as confidants, friends, and a shoulder or an ear for each other, on into the future. Nick and Phyllis are better romantically, and Sharon was so in love with Dylan and Ray, that retro Nick isn’t right for her. Ray is dead, I think, but Dylan is still out there somewhere.
Sharon was NEVER IN LOVE with Rey. She ran to him as a safe harbor from Adam. But to disagree. Based on their shared history I would rather see Sharon and Nick together than anyone else. Actually Nick and Phyllis are better as friends. N&P cannot be a couple as long as Victor is alive.
What I meant to say is that while Rey Rosales will always be the one great love of Sharon’s life, Rey himself would be thrilled to find Sharon back in the arms of Nick since he can’t be there.
And why is that, Y&R? Because you killed him!
No way. I agree w/Sharod that Rey was a safe harbor. And a decent choice if she couldn’t have Nick… but she’da left Rey in a heartbeat if a Nick reunion was ready to play out. Which I think/hope has always been the YnR end-game… and that Rey also believed deep-down that the Shick day would eventually come; he just died before that could happen and break his heart to smithereens.
Reading the posts below brought something to mind; they said repeatedly the bullet went all the way through Victor, but the whole family was right behind him. Where did it bullet go? It probably should have gone into whomever was behind Victor. It wouldn’t just slowly pop out of his back and drop to the floor.
Behind the Scenes: I’ve noticed they rarely have liquid in cups or glasses that you can’t see through. No steam from the coffee and you never see the top of the liquid when they take a sip. Speaking of illustrations, I did a little digging into what “paper bags” on tv shows are made of. They are much quieter and clothier than a normal one. They are made of stiff fabric or coffee filter like paper. It’s so the rustling of the paper doesn’t interfere with the dialogue. There’s also silicone ice cubes. They float like real ice but don’t… Read more »
I had a feeling that they would do the rewrite of Audra and Holden knowing each other. Once decided to change Damian. This will be the secret that ends her relationship with Nate.
Also, if you are referring to Damian looking googly eyes at Lily. They are not blood related. Lily and Nate are related on their Mothers side and Nate and Damian are supposedly brothers on his Father’s side. But even if they are connected in the same family. Have you ever watched or seen B&B lately. In Soap Opera Land, being related does not stop a soapy story.
BnB family/soapy stuff is cracking me up. Took me a hot minute to realize Finn isn’t blood w/Poppy, lol. Like it should matter, double lol!

Sharod has pointed out that Claire remains emotionless when Victor shows discomfort (after being pierced with a magic bullet that hit no other people). She has a steady gaze and Mona Lisa smile that is pleasant but doesn’t reveal anything. She switches to a ruthlessness when needed then shifts back to “innocent Claire” as Victor sees her. Claire is asking questions about Victor to better understand how to handle him. She is a character that is worth watching and I suggest Victor put his guard up. She won’t be controlled especially concerning Kyle.
Am I crazy or did a charater say this is January on the Thursday episode? The freakin’ New Years hogged so much of the calender we will never catch up.
Should I dare to make fun of Harrison’s diorama? Did they stop st hobby lobby and buy some dollhouse furniture? I feel sorry for the low income kid whose single parent works night shift. So at 9 or 10 pm they made their diorama from actual paper and glue. Starting with an empty cereal box and popsicle sticks.
Well, yes, Naomi, this may be hitting below the belt but the uptown dollhouse chairs from Michaels was glaring. “Where do the poor kids shop?, you propose.

Lol. Well said! And regardless of income and store-bought or home-made resources, the biggest disparity in school assignments always lies between ‘student’ or “adult’ generated…!
As a retired teacher, I know that assigning a home project for young children means some kids will have help and some won’t; however, I made sure that each project was proudly displayed in the classroom. Whether they have store bought tables and chairs or materials from the backyard, it didn’t matter to the kids. They enjoyed talking about their project and listening to their friends tell about their projects. The finished product wasn’t the focus, the speaking, listening, and sharing was the goal of the lesson. Because I taught in a low income setting, if a home project was… Read more »
100%! This makes me think of homemade costumes – the best! And playing in cardboard boxes! Imagination IS the best resource – and always at hand. I advocate student-driven effort and achievement; family support for those students fortunate to have such is all the better. ‘Support’ being different than actually doing the work, of course, lol.
Absolutely! I helped judge Science Fair Projects from time to time and we knew which ones were student driven vs. parent work. I always scored student creativity higher accordingly.

When will te jealous horendous Summer start respecting her step-mother?
But seriously, i appreciate Y&R utilizing a character like Summer to point up all the unforgivable things Sharon did, PCP or not, within the frame up story instead of trying to sweep all that under the rug as much as possible at this point for the audience.
Great way to lay it out! Phyllis only focuses on a target that supposedly is keeping her from happiness or whatever. She never, ever just lives her life in an uncomplicated manner.

I think she’s going to be really bad when the time comes.
She has the possibility of really bad behavior coursing through her veins from both sides of her family.
I’m starting to sway over to hoping so…
Where are the Valentine’s Day decorations? Crimson Lights had fall leaves as centerpieces?
CONNIE, Thrill to Billy & Sally in the City Of Love and just be happy with that.

Really, SueW? She is being made more reasonable so she is more viable for the Claire/Kyle/Summer trianglle.
Yes. Really. (Well, at least Summer 2.0. I am dismissing the bratty, flouncy one that slept w/Billy… )
