I decided to listen to Ali’s Y&R podcasts of the past. Since we can’t watch old episodes, I would listen to the recaps. Might be fun. But I couldn’t find them in my podcasts. I looked for a link at our website, and it goes to the youtubes. There are numbers 1;2;…….153 is the last one. I clicked on that. It is a chat July 2013. What is it about? Phyllis and Sharon rivalry, back when Phyllis tumbled down the stairs, with Sharon at the top and her who cares attitude, the lipstick, the pre-coma. Such fun.

I know we have wanted to see more scenes in people’s homes to humanize the characters but, no one is going to the office anymore. The Paris apartment, the new ranch, the old ranch update,Billy’s new place, and the anticipated mansion redo are great, but I miss the old and familiar work sets. I hope they aren’t throwing the baby out with the bath water when it comes to the old sets.

I thought it was kind of funny when Victor was saying that he would like for all of his children to live on the ranch and Nick replied that he likes where he is living now with Christian. Apparently, Nick likes living in this invisible house we never see anymore. It’s been years. I really hope Y&R gives us back Nick’s place. I know I mentioned this before, but I feel it needs to be said again. I loved Nick’s place. It was so cozy. I am sure Ali is right about Billy’s new place being Nick’s old place. That… Read more »
I agree, we need to see Nick at home, we see everyone else. And Christian, why is he never seen, are they going to SORAS him soon? They should! It’s time Christian gets in on the action!

Has anyone noticed that Society has taken away the spider napkins. Thank goodness. They have replaced them with pretty pink napkins now. I wonder if they did this because we let them know what we thought about them and they agreed.

I did not get to see the episodes this week with Traci yet. I look forward to them. Having said that, last week I was mentioning how the characters have been talking about real life things that we can relate to. They seem to be doing that more and more. A few weeks ago it was the Abbotts talking about the James Bonds movies and who was their favourite actor who played him. This was followed by Holden talking about Audra singing Metallica songs. This week we had Nate, Amy and Damien talking about who their favourite basketball team is.… Read more »
What a great observation! Thanks for spotting these fun details and I agree that planting real life things into the script does enhance the character development and audience buy in.

Applause for Nate to bring a level of reason in the Damien/Aristotle Dumas situation. Thank you Nat for asking Lily if she could trust Victor’s information as truthful, reminding her that he has lied to her before in his motive to get ownership of Chancellor Industries, so he may be hiding a more personal agenda. Nate tried to stress to Lily as well as Devon, that they may not be able to trust Victor equally as she felt she could not or would not trust Damien. Victor Newman is fist and foremost always looking out for Victor and his family,… Read more »

Glad to see Ashley will be back in GC next week. Together, she and Jack may be able to piece together if Alan is indeed Martin. I’m still crossing my fingers the “real” Alan is being held against his will. While Martin, as Alan, is plotting revenge schemes against Ashley and “physiological shenanigans” for fun. Stay strong Traci.

Boy, was I tempted on Y&R today. Claire had this yummy looking cafe drink. It had artful whipping cream and sprinkles. She kept waving it around as she was talking to Kyle. I could not live vicariously because she did not take sips. Instead of a cute moment where Kyle kisses the whipping cream off her lips, Claire just walked away leaving the sumptuous drink to be thrown away. What a tease!

Victor and Kyle verbally sparring for Claire’s time was so awkward and funny. I wonder when Claire will be upset with Victor for all the negative meddling.
Tracy breaking down, when she said “he was my Allen” was heart breaking. Beth Maitland is so good.
The previews looked more interesting than most of today’s episode. It was mostly a catch up show.

The plot thickens drawing in gorgeous Audra. Victor is about to insist she refamiliarise with Kyle breaking Claire’s heart as quid pro quo for a position at Chancellor.
Nate may exhort Audra to use her charms to pump Holden for more intelligence.
Can Audra thwart Tucker’s plan to unite his offspring while snatching Chancellor? Or has she been playing his long game all along?

Kyle is in exceptional spirits since Matheson followed the breadcrumbs to Jabot R&D’s unlikely formula for a game changing new perfume.
Kyle’s rejoinder as Victor gloats after airfreight delivery of 2 tons of Heard Island penguin dung will be memorable: “Isn’t chartering a ship for a two week fertilizer collection voyage extravagant!?”

I got a bit behind on the show, but can the penny drop on a billionaire and his mouthpiece? Apparently yes! It dropped on Victor and Michael. Aristotle Dumas is Tucker McCall’s nom de guerre!
The proverbial penny will next drop on poor Devon.
Even we without billions know better because we listen to Ali’s Sunday Chat!!

Love having Michael back helping Victor. Two of Y&R’s seasoned actors that together and individually entertain us all with their magnificent talents! And loved the tender interaction between Nikki and Michael on Thursday’s show when she expressed that Michael is like family to Victor and herself, and that Victor is like family to Michael.

Victor is walking a lot better in today’s episode. I had heard Eric Braden had a knee replacement. I wonder if those prior scenes were filmed during that healing time. Happy to see him with more pep in that step. Traci wants to protect everyone from Martin (if it’s him). She should speak with Clare, she has a few tips on how to do that. Glad to see Kyle and Jack figuring out Victor has moles at Jabot. I’ve been interested in this story and it looks like it’s starting up. Michael made a drink for himself and Victor (he… Read more »

Like Michael’s lampoon of Victor when he says he has come to discuss Victor’s “many enemies” with him. Can’t we all just get along?
