Ali, gaol is pronounced the same as jail. Just an older way of spelling it used by an old man.

Enough with the corporate espionage, although it is clever to bring real world AI concerns into our fantasy world of GC. I need the Mariah story to get equal billing and soon. She and Tessa just disappeared from the park without any follow up. I also need a new storyline because Y&R is starting to be a one hit wonder and I want a platinum album experience.

Well, here I am on the edge of my recliner watching Y&R and loving it! I thought I was tired of the corporate intrigue but even though my brain cannot possibly comprehend the double dealings and secrets about secret alignments I am enjoying everything. The corporate stuff is causing all the relationship drama and that’s what I love. Thank you Y&R for a great show on Friday.

Billy it’s such an idiot , he needs to listen to sally and so proud of sally for standing up for herself with cane and phylis , at this point, sally should dump billy and glad she told Jack the truth . Jack was amazing , so proud of him , he stood up for himself and not only that but he walked away, I am glad Jack walked away , it was the right thing to do

Is Phyllis sincere with Nick which I would think she would be, or is she manipulating him? It surprised me yesterday when Cane told her, “We’re a team” when I thought he’d said she was out a few days before only Phyllis put self-delusional blinders on and refused to hear it?

At this point, who knows if Phyllis is in or out. Cain’s history with job security for his employees is as reliable as the weather in Indiana.

I really like the show rn. I think the show is building a strong young set with Claire, Holden, Kyle and, Audra. Now we got Lucas Adams coming on as Noah and Matt Cohen playing a new cop.

Having billy basically substitute his gambling for chancellor is brilliant and Jason and Courtney are killing it.

I even like this AI stuff lol

I’m not sure I understand what Cane is doing. He is mortified by the thought that the letter from Madame DeLeon is exposed – a con that he had nothing to do with and no knowledge of. According to Cane, he built his business legitimately and wants his kids to be proud. And he’s so concerned that his kids will think badly of him that he’s willing to let Victor blackmail him over it. But then he turns around and has AI software developed so that he can essentially steal companies out from under their rightful owners – not only… Read more »

If sucha AI exists, no one would be safe. And Cane wouldn’t be the only person in the world to have developed it. AI wasn’t needed to breach AC’s firewall so spams might be sent to the guest list, just poor IT security. It’s just a confidence scheme. All of which calls to mind the immortal words of Henry Gondorff (The Sting – 1973): “You have to keep this con even after you take [the mark’s] money. He can’t know you took him.” As it all began a few months ago, here is a transcript of the conversation between Amanda… Read more »

Phyllis deserves congratulations for putting Nick in his place. Nick doesn’t care that she might go to jail, and won’t even bat an eyelash if Victor uses the AI against CassidyFirst™. He might counsel against it, but lacks the moral fibre to say “Dad-Adam, if you don’t listen, it’s gaol!”. Phyllis, for goodness’ sake, warn Sharon! Meanwhile, Cane continues to entice Victor with Michael now as unwitting henchman. Undoubtedly, Michael’s phone is infected with a GPS tracker and bug. The telephone call while Michael’s in Victor’s office is hardly just a happy coincidence and Cane’s episode ending smirk says it… Read more »

I think Y & R is building some nice intrigue with this AI story. I’m looking forward to see where this is going.

On the outside city view they show Newman, Jabot, then there’s a building with kH on it. Is that the hospital? then there’s Genoa City Trust and Savings too. You can see Chancellor park too. I think that arched bridge in the park is where Nikki “killed” Diane back in the day. Today it must be killing Cane to wear a tee shirt under his sweater. He can’t open the top 7 buttons on it. Sally slammed Billy and didn’t even mean to: I was dreaming….you always are! haha Michael needs to tell Victor to go to hell and never… Read more »

Thursday’s episode had a lot to say about the power of addiction. Jason Thompson is totally believable, pathetic, and helpless as he portrays Billy sinking further into its grip. And Courtney Hope as Sally brought it too! She genuinely loves Billy, but she doesn’t have the power to help him. She’s realizing that now. Scary and real!

A core aspect to an addition is repeating unhealthy behaviours despite negative consequences – the result of a neurotransmitter pathways making it difficult or impossible to stop even though the person knows there will be devastating consequences.

Jason’s portrayal is exceptional, as is Courtney trying to understand, help, and even go along with her loved one as he tells her “this time will be different”.

I’m hooked to this storyline.

I heard Bobby Vinton singing Blue Velvet anytime Sally was on screen. She looked so beautiful and her eyes were blue velvet when she had tears in her eyes. Phyllis cut her deeply.

SHAROD, you do not suffer fools gladly so this coming from the likes of you is birthday praise indeed! I think I am going out to dinner and then coming home to watch THE BAD SEED on Svengoolie. A Sat. night mock horror show like Elvira where the host breaks into the movie to make crazy comments.Like at Y&R CHAT Never seen this favorite movie in this format before!

Leroy (“Give me them shoes!”) tried to scare her with that! I shouldn’t go on about myself but it is my birthday: When i was little I was left alone in the house (parents didn’t go to prison for this back then) on a late Friday night where i watched this on The Million Dollar Movie. I lived in a kind of split level interesting house where there were gnarled up trees against the windows like witches. With this atmosphere TBS chilled me to the bone. That poor morose drunken mother who’s only child Rhoda killed. Here’s the thing. I… Read more »

I’ve only watched it once and years later I should see if I can find a way to see it again. Thanks for more details. The child actor playing Rhoda was perfect in the role. I must disagree with you being a bookend to Rhoda. You are a kind person especially to those of us struggling to compose a complete sentence. Tomorrow is your big day so enjoy it to the fullest allowed by law.

Watch this and contact me immediately! Patty McCormack went on to be a character on Edge Of Night. I don’t think any Chatters watched Edge of Night, especially me.I remember being scared by its opening which you couldn’t avoid. It had this old time piano concerto where you saw this black skyline of a city at night. You would think you were watching Dragnet.

The way the narrator would say, ‘The Edge’ of Night’. Maybe scary is the wrong word. Very – moody. It would make me want to pull the covers over my head if on at night.
Was someone named Ann Floyd on TEON? Who is that?
