I found it interesting how Nick has been calling his dad Victor lately, but when Noah tells Nick how Victor saved the day by getting the liquor licence for the underground in Michigan, Nick immediately went back to calling him dad again. I think this shows us that even though Nick is always saying he doesn’t want Victor interfering in his life, a part of him really does want his interference if it is going to be beneficial for him and Noah. Nick was still calling him dad when he went to visit Sharon, even after he found out that… Read more »

OK….just for fun, I did a little background check and researched how old some of these characters would actually be today if they hadn’t been rapidly aged or SORAS’d! Here we go… Starting with Victoria…born in 1982…she would be 35 years old today. OK…I can accept that. Nick, born 1988 would be 29 Adam was born in 1995, if still “alive”, he would be 22. Abby, born in the year 2000…she would be 17 today. Hmmmm!!! Noah, born in 1997 would be 20 yrs old Cassie…1991 (?), would be 26 (pretty spot on I’d say) Summer and Faith both born… Read more »

Exactly! I can appreciate rapid aging child characters and in the realm of soap opera’s, I can usually accept the new ages and characters quite quickly. Certain story lines are better ventured with children that are a little more mature…for instance, Lily and Cane and the twins. It’s a weeee bit easier to explain how Daddy is having a baby with another woman to teenagers than it would be to grade schoolers. Also in the case of Reed coming to live with Victoria as a teenager. What puzzles me is WHY they HAVEN’T aged Faith. There is no story line… Read more »

When Mattie told Reed that she didn’t know the next time she would be able to see him that was a moment for me as a HUGE Mattie and Reed fan because I’m just like “I don’t know when I’ll get another Mattie and Reed scene.” On another note I love the relationship between Victoria and Reed now. They have come a long way as mother and son since he first came to town. It seema like when they were discussing the Mattie situatiom they were a lot more candid with each other and I have to say I loved… Read more »

So let me get this straight….. Victor puts up road blocks for the Underground Expansion, then comes to show Noah that he is the only one who can help them pass these rod blocks….. sounds like Victor. I get you are mad a Nick and feuding and cut him off your money. But why can’t Nick just be independent and do his own thing with these Underground Expansions. They have nothing to do with Victor, so just let him be. Of course we all know it’s grandchildren manipulation to get there love and respect. I just think if Victor can… Read more »

I love Mattie and Reed, but I can understand Cane’s perspective of the whole Mattie and Reed drama and he wants the best for his daughter. However, I really get annoyed how Cane is making these assumptions about the type of person Reed is. What I would have like to see is Cane sit down with Reed in a calm manner, asking questions to get to know Reed and the type of person he is. He can ask what his intentions are and how he truly feels about Mattie, bring up the concerns he has about him and get Reeds… Read more »

Ali, you asked what we’d like to see from Mal Young’s all encompassing role at YR. I’d like to see more of Paul, and more of a real police presence. Right now, it’s like this band of misfits are going to solve the sex trafficking ring with no police help at all. Plus Doug Davidson is great as Paul. When he’s mad or aggravated, it comes across the screen. Likewise, if Paul is in a scene where he needs to be emotional, OMG, he makes me cry. You can see the anguish in his eyes. I’d like to see a… Read more »

I’ve been seeing more and more articles about the Mattie and Reed pregnancy storyline and I definitely feel that it’s plausible. It’s like they’re dropping one controversial storyline (Mariah amd Tessa) for another (teenage pregnancy). I don’t know of the writers feel that a teen pregnancy might be a little more accepted than a homosexuality storyline. It’s possible, but I am really excited to see where they go with Mattie and Reed’s relationship especially when Lily has to go away on her business trip. Also, I was actually impressed with Hilary when she didn’t rat Mattie out. She tried to… Read more »

Loved Monday’s show with Loren telling Phyllis the truth and telling Jack off! Loren is a great character. Also, I was so happy to see the flashbacks of Ashley & Dina during Dina’s dream.

Juliette is not popular. I think she stole Cane’s sperm in that hotel room in Japan. So if there is a murder, she will be the victim. Lilly has been pining over, and mentioned, that Juliette is carrying Cane’s child, and she never got to do that. She has mentioned Mac, who carried the twins. So if Juliette is found facedown in the pool, they will rush her to hospital, she will be alive long enough to deliver the baby, who will be raised by Lilly and Cane. Krystal will escape and Charlie will find her. He will hide her,… Read more »

As far as what I would want under the Mal Young era, I’d first say a new strong middle-aged male character to win Nikki’s heart and make her move on from Victor for good. The second thing I’m hoping for is to see Juliet and Cane’s storyline end in a dramatic unexpected twist but not Juliet’s death for I’d hate to see guilty-ridden faces for weeks on end especially if she is survived by her child. I’d see Jack behind the pregnancy scam: it would be revealed that it was one of the many schemes he’d pulled to bring Brash… Read more »

I wish Mariah and Devon would cut their losses and break up. I never bought their relationship. They always seemed awkward to me and even though I don’t like Hilary she looks better with Devon. I thinl Hilary has proven that she’s a sexy, confident woman who can capture a man’s attention unlike Mariah who seems to me like she’s playing at being a woman. I also don’t see how Mariah can get mad at Devon for not saying “I love you” when the only reason she said “I love you” was to cover up her feelings for Tessa right… Read more »

Does Cane not realize the harder that he tries to keep Mattie from seeing Reed the harder that Mattie and Reed are going to push back? This whole thing is a recipe for disaster. I do wonder though if it wasn’t for the feud between him and Victoria would he still have a problem with Mattie seeing Reed or would he still think of Reed as a slacker kid.

I wanted to say that I agree with the comments regarding Hillary being in everyone’s business for no good reasons except to stir the pot. I can totally see Hillary being a target of someone’s malice.

Ali, we haven’t heard from Zoperplex in awhile. He chats with us from Puerto Rico, where Irma did damage. Let’s send collective well wishes in case he needs them.

Dear Sandra: That was so nice of you mentioning me and expressing concern about the threat posed by Hurricane Irma. I appreciate that very much. Yes, Hurricane Irma did knock out electrical power, in my circumstance, for a week, but thankfully the storm caused only surprisingly negligible physical damage since Irma only sideswiped the island. This is in contrast to what happened to Florida where the storm rampaged throughout the entire breath of the peninsula. I know from personal acquaintances that the storm was far more destructive on that state than what Irma did to us and our thoughts and… Read more »

I really like the idea of pairing Abby with Scott since I have never been sold on Sharon and Scott. If they ever write Abby or Scott off of the canvas, they could just leave together. Sharon and Nick are keeping me tuned to the sex ring storyline. If it weren’t for them, I would not be vested at all since the other characters involved have not been on long enough or have become tied to the canvas in a way for me to be that invested in the outcome. I just don’t buy Zach or Alice as masterminds of… Read more »
