Surprised no one here is talking about this.
Executive producer Josh Griffith has decided to step down from his role to focus on writing the show. Sally McDonald is taking over. Shes been at the show since 1988 as a director and producer.
Wonder what will change if anything

I realized, Ali, that last week, when you mentioned Chloe had tried to trick Cane into thinking Delia was his baby, that Chloe is the only character who has not seen Cane since his return to the show. It would be nice to see these two characters interact together, especially now that Cane is played by a new actor.

I am so behind this week as I haven’t seen any of the episodes yet. I wanted to add to your comment Ali last week about the characters having a storyline about aging and having beauty procedures done on the show. You had mentioned that Katherine Chancellor had a facelift on the show. I remember that. I am not sure if you knew that John Abbott had his eyes done on the show. He had the procedure done in real life and Y&R incorporated this on the show by having his character have the procedure done and talking about it.… Read more »
I also found this bit of information on this topic; John Abbott underwent an eye lift procedure as part of his storyline on The Young and the Restless. John Abbott, the patriarch of the Abbott family, had an eye lift procedure during his time on The Young and the Restless, which was incorporated into the show’s plot to reflect his concern with appearance and personal image. This storyline highlighted Abbott’s vanity and the lengths he would go to maintain his youthful look, consistent with his character’s established traits as a powerful and image-conscious businessman. The eye lift surgery was one… Read more »

Roger Howorth walking around Genoa City with amnesia is so stupid. To soap’s creditbI’m not aware of them having pulled this gag out of their hat in many years. Things went a different way but i was wondering if Phyllis would take Matt as her lover in todays episode? Although I can’t imagine her giving herself away so cheaply. With everyone in town just missing Matt I was very surprised when Audra & Noah did spot him in the middle of the episode. Good lookin’ out.
Especially the stupid way they had Nick not see him. We are to believe his conversation with his non seen on screen son, Christian would be that long and intense. Give me a freaking break. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.

No Memory Matt, low key hitting on every hot lady in GC, and sucker punching Noah to wrap up the week was entertaining. I kind of wish this creep wasn’t so fun to watch. Line of the week……”You have main character energy.”……….indeed, Phyllis definitely has it in spades.
“I’m Phyllis, by the way” Matt replies “you certainly are”.

I’m sorry, one more question! Audra helps Sally run a large successful company but has difficulty making multiple calls to Nick and Victor in quick fashion! And why didn’t she also think to call the police without Noah advising her to do it?
Because he’s a big wimp! Remember when he ran away from Matt and his dirty cop accomplice instead of sticking around and helping Detective Burrow? Nick would never have let Matt get away!

With all the grilling that Chelsea gave Adam about his past with Riza, it seems as if we will soon find out that Riza had been pregnant with Adam’s child when he left Vegas. We should also be meeting Adam’s son or daughter very soon!!

The amnesia storyline is lame but, Patty and Matt teaming up to do no good is brilliant!

The best part of the week for me was Traci and Lily. Traci looks adorable and her motherly charm is accentuated by her cute her new hairdo. I’m so glad mean girl Lily is gone but, I am not sure the sky is falling and panic stricken Lily is better. I’m just so happy that she has her pseudo mom to comfort her. I love their relationship and it always feel authentic when they have their heart to heart conversations.

“I’ve got nowhere to go, ’cause I don’t even know where I am.” I’m going to say that to a random person at a bar and see if they are as calm as Phyllis. They will probably call a padded wagon to take me away. I wonder what Noah’s waist size is. 26″? Nick had a really long phone call with Christian. We need to see him and what he is like now. He’s probably a grown man. Victoria’s hair made her look like the dark Mother of Dragons. There’s been a lot of braided styles on the ladies lately.… Read more »
As soon as we talked about Phyllis always being in a dress, she slips into some slacks. She looks great in them too. Traci’s haircut looked nice. The scenes with her and Lilly were great. Traci always has a hopeful and loving perspective on the crazy goings on in GC. Matt may not know who he is, but he sure is good at figuring out everyone else. I need more of him and Phyllis. They are fun to watch. Claire and Audra were pretty funny! The other customers and the server were hearing their whole snipefest. Audra had people to… Read more »

Yesterday’s scene between Audra and Claire was just silly fun… just to watch the 2 actresses snark it up like (older!) high school mean girls, lol.
It is easier to remember past storylines when there is a set to go with, such as a courtroom, a hospital, the barn. Not always conversations over stirring coffee or outside the restaurant. Having those sets puts the drama into our memories more securely.

The only thing I LOVE more than Matt having amnesia is the prospect of him and Phyllis hooking up!
I actually connected the dots a couple months ago and realized that Roger Holworth played Alan-Michael Spaulding on Guiding Light. His character was fascinating – part Kyle (preppy, smug, rich kid), part Adam (dark streak from his caniving Daddy but some good b/c of a saintly, wholesome Mom) and a dash of Billy (romantic and the King of Grand Gestures). I hope Roger H. stays on!

They want to keep Roger around and the only way to do that is to erase his crimes haha. Its stupid but a soap stupid that I like
Me too!

Lauren reminded me of Dolly Parton today. Such an iconic lady.
Christian is younger than Connor and Johnnie.

Roger didnt play that role. He played Todd Manning on one Life to Live, Paul Ryan on As the World turns and, Franco on General Hospital.
The previous Matt Clark Ric Hurst played Alan Michael Spaulding 🙂
I love Matt losing his memory + him and Phyllis too
