I voted for him to stay even though I think the acting could be better. It looks to me that my theory could be right after all. Last week I had mentioned that I thought Graham could be John Abbot’s son before it was revealed that Graham was only Brent Davis’s stepson. I still think that is the way that Y&R is going to take this story line, as I don’t see any other reason for not making Brent Davis his real father. Yeah! I would find that story line a lot more interesting. There is so much that Y&R… Read more »

Well, it’s early in the week. I haven’t even started Monday’s episode. Just listened to Ali’s podcast.
What if they made Brett Graham’s step father because he is John’s biological son. His mother could have stolen John’s attention since Dena took Brett. John is remembered as saintly, but he was a handsome character, and as.long as he is long gone, we can rewrite history just a bit. That would make him no relation to Ashley, but half brother to Jack and Billy. A lot of story can come from that combination.

From the dialogue it seems Graham resents Ashley because his step-father turned from their family to take up with the scarlet woman Dina Abbott, where their love child, Ashley, was born. But (at least in real life) isn’t Ashley older than Graham? She came 1st! There was also some dialogue about Brett returning to his family only to take up with Dina again (“when you didn’t really even want him!”), so maybe this somehow comes into play…
Unclear.
Graham is 42? He’s still got some life left in him, in Genoa City and beyond! Something that completely went over my head but I heard it on Y&R CHAT is the fact that Brett (or Brent?) Davis is but Graham’s step-father and not his biological son. How in the world??? What? How can this be? This makes no soap opera sense at all. What is the point of any of this if he is not part of the Abbott family in being the bad seed half brother of Ashley? With this status-quo, Ali’s point about what does this portend… Read more »

I voted for Graham to leave Genoa City. I never enjoyed watching Graham from the start, maybe part of that was because the writers didn’t know how they wanted to write him for so long and I am even still confused by his character. When watching Graham on screen, I always felt blah about his character and wouldn’t be bothered if I never saw him again. He just seem so plain and with no substance at all for so long. And this whole big reveal with him at Ashley’s party, I was more so into the fact Ashley’s secret was… Read more »

I said keep him at least for a little while until they find another catalyst to keep things moving other than the Zach. I rather see Graham until 2020 over watching Zach until Thanksgiving.
HERE’S A LITTLE SCOOP FOR YOU, FOLKS:
Make of it what you will. Soap Opera Digest (not that I buy it or read it!) has a pic in the new issue that shows an intense Abbott sibling threesome, Traci, Jack & Ashley (Spoiler alert: Ashley not bio Abbott) looking intensely (!) outward with their hands gripping a chain link fence for dear life, with the sign “PRIVATE JET CHARTERS” behind them. I believe them to be at the AIRPORT. What does this tell you?
10/19 When I wrote this I didn’t envision Graham whisking away a a lobotomized wheelchair bound Dina with him! HORROR SHOW. Haven’t seen something this compelling from Y&R in years… Get her back! PRONTO.
Never have the Abbott children seemed so inept. From start to finish. Where is Victor Newman?
Vic offered his help to Ashley, but she blew him off believing her pompous brother was in charge! Her brother who took Dina back to her hotel room across from Graham in place of his home, then left her side at the hospital to go to the Jabot office and then on to Michael’s place to chat up the situation… Given the revelations of Graham, am I over-reaching to see this as police matter? At hospital, Graham is waving his blue legal papers with the Abbot’s calling him a just exposed con artist, and the hospital staff is going to… Read more »
Keep in mind, almighty Victor does not yet know of the paternity reveal at Ashley’s soirée. He has spoken to Ashley, Billy, and Neal since the airing of the dirty laundry, and no one has reprised Victor of the secrect he was privy to, coming out.
Calling 911 right away. Oops! I think it’s too late.

I voted to keep Graham around GC. That well runs deep and we’ve only scratched the surface of who Graham is and what he is all about.

Graham is far too intriguing a character to let go of him. I am sure that he has volumes left to unveil regarding his background before we see the end of him.

It’s madness!

Don’t fret Gary. I predict Dina will come to and call out to her children before Graham gets her into the plane.
I predict she won’t!
Having stroke myself. Chatters, call paramedics. Or is this another case of “Do Not Disturb”???
When Victor finds out what is going on, he will see to it that Dina is sitting pretty in the parlor having tea and biscuits from Mrs. Martinez.
