I’m never sure where to put my comments – Here is one idea for Patty’s reason for escape, and Matt’s good deed. So, Phyllis and Matt think a save-a-newman scenario can redeem him, just like that. They are thinking saving Sharon will work. They are at this motel. Meanwhile, Kyle invited Victoria to “a motel.” Neither motel was named, so maybe it is the same one. All are there at the same time. Patty can threaten Victoria for some reason, and Matt can save Victoria. Even better than Sharon for Newman points and redemption.

I feel that it is important to mention this, and that it can be helpful for newer viewers to know the character of Michael Baldwin’s history on the show. I say this because I feel like Lauren of all people should understand about giving people second chances. It seemed a little hypocritical for Lauren to be lecturing Phyllis about taking a risk by being with Matt Clark. Are you kidding me? Lauren should be a big believer in people being capable of redemption and not being that person anymore. Yes, Michael Baldwin is now a respected lawyer in the town… Read more »
As a new viewer of only a few years, I am so impressed with your historical knowledge!
All these characters have a long history, and that history is what makes them who they are. More than half a century of loves, grudges, rivalries and betrayals is what makes Y&R so interesting.
Why not use that history instead of pretending it never happened?
Patty’s max jailbreak. How unrealistic! What a nutty show! What is there left for her to do? Will the feds even come looking for her with her GC obsession? Ultimately the Abbot’s will have to hog-tie Patty themselves. It would be so difficult writing Y&R, legitimizing every single psycho who has ever been sent to prison escaping. Is it really that easy? I would like to commit crimes and break out of prison. At the conclusion of Patty’s latest romp I will laugh in the face of the dean of prison’s assurances that this time, rest assured, Patty will never see… Read more »
Well, when you have a billionaire paying bribes on your side, that’s what you can expect.
Patty’s first escape wasn’t due to her own brilliance, nor Larry’s. There was a puppeteer in the background.
I just read Dianna’s comment, and undoubtedly she has a much better memory of the consequences characters have faced. I’ve only been watching for about four years, so what I know of the history comes to me through the Google machine.
There is so much more to Y&R than “TGVN always wins.”

I found the scene with Maria and her husband a little over the top with her husband’s acting. It is also not believable that a woman her size pushed a man her husband’s size, and he went flying backward and died instantly from banging his head. Seems very far-fetched.
I am not looking forward to yet another convoluted cover up! Where is the staff in this rehab facility?!?! Not a soul around with a clipboard and lanyard ID badge.

Does anyone think that Jack and Diane’s hotel room looks a lot like the boat he was on with Patty? It looks exactly the same. The only difference is that there is a window with curtains where the wall with just the porthole was. It would have been nice if Y&R could have splurged a little and given us a new set with a beautiful room that rich people like themselves would be staying in while on vacation on an island.
I actually like the room—including Diane making the best of the situation. Jack truly knows his wife. And know I know her a bit better, too. The room. The jungle walk. The only visitor-free cove on the whole island of Tahiti. The ability to doff swimsuits and be free. A message in a bottle. Jack left nothing in his meticulously planned romantic getaway to chance. Or did he? Because something unexpected always intervenes. That’s what makes this a vacation worth watching. These are the stories that will regale generations of Abbots for years to come. And honestly? That’s worth more… Read more »
While I don’t love the set, I am enjoying the storyline on their vacation, so I shouldn’t complain about it. If they had the fancy room, then we wouldn’t get the very point of their story. The not so fancy room was meant to show us that Jack and Diane don’t need all the bells and whistles that they are used to. Their love each other and that is all that matters! They are happy to be back together, with or without all of the frills. I liked the message in the bottle. I thought this was cute and endearing.… Read more »

I absolutely love Phyllis and Matt together, as I have mentioned before. I think they have so much chemistry and that it really feels authentic. The way Phyllis looks at Matt and the way he looks at her feels so genuine. Phyllis looks at Matt like she is so happy she is making him happy just by being in his presence and by being her natural self, which is hot and sexy. I think Phyllis loves that she could be described as the hotter one and the better person of the two, and that knowing this makes her feel superior… Read more »

How about that wacky I Dream OFJeannie storyline for Jack & Diane?
Good question! It might be more meaningful if we saw them actually find the magic bottle while walking on the beach at sunset. It’s been an odd little vacation so far. Jack needs to get a better travel agent.

Stephanie looks prettier on today’s show. I wasn’t minding her with Nate today until he said to her “Yes, ma’am “.
She’s his mommy, she thinks. Or he thinks. Well, Ali calls her stiff. I ain’t feeling it. What an overbearing barracuda. But sunny. Cheerful. She just burst her way into GC society. She’s got shoes.
I’m trying to give Stephanie a chance but she should be paired with someone else. Maybe a new police chief or head chef at society. Two doctors sharing shop talk is equivalent to a commercial break! Time to get up and get a snack.
I also thought she looked better on the show and am starting to warm up to her and Nate.

Come on…tiny Marie pushed her hulk sized husband so hard he hit the wall with enough force to knock him out. Don’t they have security or a medical response team in that highfalutin rehab facility?
Josh Griffith loves a push, fall, hit head and die. This is the second one Nick has been involved with. At least Nick didn’t push him. Now on to the cover-up.

Devon is correct, he’s protective – an over protective jerk. I think he’s jealous that his sister doesn’t look to him as her only confidant or advisor. He keeps bringing up Holden’s deception when he came to town but, ignores his deceptive part of that fake job offer to root out Aristotle Dumas. I’m over his bitterness and self righteous attitude towards Holden.

What is wrong with Diane and Jack’s senses? Kyle put a bottle of champaign in their carryon and they didn’t notice the weight until they got to their room. And now they have lugged around an old corked wine bottle they found on the beach and didn’t notice the note inside until they got back to the room. The two are oblivious until they enter the magical awareness realm of that lack luster hotel room. Marie’s husband is played by Tommy Walker, he is Gary on Stewart Fails to Save the Universe on HBO. I recognized him immediately. He’s a… Read more »

No doubt about it, she’s T-R-O-U-B-L-E . The jury is out on her redemption verdict in my mind.
The husband, sweet, baby-faced & mean looking. Y&R’s new powerhouse storyline.
