Well, even Cane’s referee uniform comes with no socks. Matt wants Phyllis out of the room so Patty doesn’t run away from whatever cockamamie scheme he has planned, but that makes Phyllis suspicious of Matt. She doesn’t trust him very much. I’m surprised since she has told everyone in town that she loves him, she’s jumped in bed with him a number of times, just yesterday in soap time even (I think). You’d think she would trust him more if she wants to show the town how trustworthy he is. Where did they get that stuffed cat to play the… Read more »

The whole Abbot family, the GCPD, and now the Newmans are all in on Jack and Detective Burrow’s heart attack plan but what about the hospital? A couple of intake tests and they would tell Jack it was a panic attack and send him home, not check him in to a room and take up a bed that they need for a real patient.
Simple Plan for Patty. Wait until Jack is discharged. Take the elevator to the C-Suite. Stroll in past the “Go Right In” sign after purloining a butcher knife from the executive kitchen. Simple. Easy. Effective. Jabot’s corporate headquarters is essentially a public thoroughfare with better lighting and more expensive furniture. Personally, I’d take my wife back to the deserted cove in Tahiti. But that’s just me. Patty would just have to survive the spectre of Kyle and Victoria’s next rendezvous. Only the venue would surprise her. She was, we know, following Phyllis to the Riverbank where she undoubtedly stumbled onto… Read more »

I don’t know… Jack is pretty lame and makes the dumbest decisions about Patty. Inviting her to move into his house. Of course she thinks he is in love with her! What if Patty dons an industrial worker uniform and conks the guards over the head with a hammer to enter Jack’s room at Memorial & kills him?
Well, I can’t sweat it. At this point it is very hardR to think Eoger Howworth will not sweep in to save the day This is Emmy stuff.

These young vibrant Newman kids have nothing better to do than visit visit their parents everyday AND I wouldn’t cry if Y&R throws Patty Williams under the bus in the interest of a higher storyline likfor hero Rofer Howworth.

I can be dense on my birthday and other times as well. OF COURSE Jack is faking that heart attack! I hadn’t even thought of that last week! He had said he had a plan to smoke Patty out. Diane is in on it too. Those two are always acting and playing tricks on the town.
ALI, I agree with you. With Phyllis’ big over the top wacky greeting to Sharon last week I don’t think Sharon was on to her , playing along to see where it would go, I think she ate it up! HA! I certainly would…
While an escaped lunatic is roaming the back alleys of Genoa City, back at HQ Kyle is trying not to stare at the couch—remembering he had had the presence of mind to close the blinds, ensuring the entire office staff only heard the happy couple—while Billy congratulates himself on the sheer marketing brilliance of using a fake medical crisis to draw Patty out. Naturally, the dynamic duo seems oblivious that while they’re high-fiving over their “cunning plan,” Victor is already moving behind the curtain, calculating exactly how to turn it against them. What better cover for an actual death in… Read more »
Jack deserves an Emmy—or at least a dramatic arts grant—for that hospital bed routine. Lying back on the crisp white sheets, enjoying opioids delivered intravenously, and whispering sweet nothings to Diane about how his “Oscar-worthy performance” will finally lure Patty into the police’s clutches. It’s truly heroic. Just one tiny, glaring flaw in Smiling Jack’s grand strategy: Patty wants Jack. And Diane dead and gone. Jack seems to have conveniently forgotten that Patty’s entire twisted life mission isn’t to put him in the ground; it’s to eliminate the “witchy wife” standing at his bedside so she can ride Jack off… Read more »
Ah, the Riverbank Motel. The undisputed command centre for Genoa City’s elite strategic minds. You really have to admire the sheer tactical genius on display here. Phyllis and Matt—a woman who once ran a global fashion empire and a guy whose primary qualification is blowing up gas stations—sitting in a dingy motel room, meticulously plotting a high-stakes sting operation to trap an escaped mental patient. And what’s the brilliant bait in this master trap? Matt calling Patty on her mobile and saying, “Hey, I’ve had a change of heart! Why don’t you pop back round to my room?” Outstanding. Interpol… Read more »
Kyle needs to up his game. Right behind him at Society was a lady recording Jack’s “death” for posterity. Step up to the plate, Kyle! Buy the footage and have Sally “accidentally” leave it on the table right after telling Adam that Jack’s had a heart attack. Adam’s Newman genes will ensure it’s splashed across every platform before he can even ask, “Is Jack alright?” Unfortunately, Sally clearly missed the first and most vital rule of keeping a secret: DON’T TELL ANYONE. Bubbling to Adam is functionally identical to blabbing during a pilgrimage to the Ranch. As the saying goes,… Read more »

Ali, you called it, Jack was faking the attack to lure Patty out. It is not surprising that Dt. Burrow and the GCPD are all on board with Jack pulling this stunt since they are completely inept (and invisible). Sadly, Patty has slipped back into the same one-note groove, get rid of Diane so Jack will be hers. It hasn’t worked the 15 times previously, but maybe this time. I was hoping for her to go scorched Earth revenge, not love-sick psycho. Here’s a thought. They should get Mr Kitty to morph into a guy in a cat costume to… Read more »
Too funny, to think of Peter Bergman in a Cat in the Hat costume encouraging Patti to go after Diane. Wish they were having you write this scene. Very entertaining.
Thanks, Russell! You really nailed it with your Jack/ Billy expose! Billy knows how to play his half brother pulling out his perpetual “You don’t believe in me!” trump card for Jack to scramble to react to! That drives me wild. Billy knows Jack will always bite. And Jack now wants to set Billy up in his own new multi-billion company to run. I wouldn’t. Can you believe Billy said yes?
No! Billy agreeing to Jack’s offer was a complete surprise to me. With his pride on the line and so delicate right now, taking Jack’s hand out didn’t seem like something he would do. I feel like he will use the money to go after Chancellor though. Those upcoming attorney fees will be steep.
Happy birthday, Gary. Hope it was wonderful. I think of you as chatter royalty. Your comments always give me a chuckle, and often are very insightful. Keep chatting, we love it.
Happy birthday Gary! I hope you have a blessed day and a year of health and happiness!

Chatter fans…my 88 year old mother and our immediate family are getting a good chuckle and a kick out of my Granny’s popularity and shout outs in this group. Ali is correct about the “choke a goat” quote not being from her. I had not heard that one and to look it up myself to verify the meaning. She would have told Patty that you could smell her a mile away and she might have added and it stinks to high heaven if she didn’t like the perfume smell or a little dab will do ya if she did. Thanks… Read more »

I’m just glad to see the family was in on the plan!
yes, I’m surprised that Sally asked Adam to publish and help out since Victor was the start of this mess.
Happy Birthday Gary!
