I thought yes until I saw how jealous Nikki was when Helen was at the hospital and at the ranch so voted Nay. An open marriage sounds good in theory if both parties agree, but Victor and Nikki have such a history together that their connection overrides their agreement. Victor enjoyed hearing that Nikki said he’s the love of her life so I’m wondering if he really did have an affair with Helen or was she the Jabot mole as Jack suspects.

I voted nay because as much as you say it is just sex someone always gets feelings and hurt, and of course that will be Nikki, not because of love hurt, but insecurities over seeing him move on to something serious with a younger woman, while Helen will become devoted to Victor. Right or wrong women are less likely than men to stray from their older lover. I also think it is dangerous anytime an affair happens people are put in danger. Patti shot Jack and went permanently insane over his affair, although they didnt have an understanding. Nikki and… Read more »

Although I voted nay your comments sway me close to center. I too hate the stripper thing, it’s not like Victor was born with a silver spoon, just less acceptable to hit below the belt and throw that back at him, but he would. We did see him hurting with guilty anguish a little when Adam died, and when Nikki shunned him, but his acting was so spot on that I couldn’t relished in it as much as I wanted to! We were robbed of a great reaveal ending to the Marco story with a triumphant return by Jack, and… Read more »

I say yes, if the set boundaries and stick to them. The side person should stay on the side and not brought into the family home or to family functions. Also if it is handled in a mature fashion.

I totally agree. That’s why they care called “side chicks.” Victor, you do you. Nikki, you do you. Keep your side piece out the house though. Not cool.

They have TOO MUCH history to have an open marriage. You don’t go through everything they’ve been through together to remarry for the 42nd time and have an open marriage.

I voted yes. If there were a third option I would have picked that. I like the open marriage except I do not like the lovers invited into the home. I think that Victor is forcing Nicki to name her lover and that is the only reason he brought Helen home.

It is a silly idea that will fizzle out by summer. Arturo might become involved with Abby on his way off the GC stage but Helen will probably be gone by the end of May sweeps. Both are too curious about the other’s flings to stick with this arrangement in the long run. The big drama will be Abby being shocked to learn her new potential boyfriend is involved with her stepmother.
