1) In a small village of Transylvania, the country from whence Victor’s ancestors arrived, these hand gestures are meant as a sign of affection.

2) With his cognitive functions seriously compromised Victor was reduced to communicating through sign language. Unfortunately, the best that any of the interpreters of sign could decipher was that this was the rantings of a raving lunatic.

3) After the war, young Victor Newman survived by working in a traveling Punch and Judy puppet show utilizing human scale Punch and Judy mannequins. This is the consequence of performing following too many blows to the head.
