I am surprised that John Abbott actually had a favourite child. It doesn’t surprise me with Dina, as we know what kind of person she was, but I am disappointed to know that the father the Abbotts and everyone always speaks so highly of, actually had a favourite. It doesn’t seem like it fits his character and his family morals and beliefs. I would think that John Abbott would love all of his children equally.

I agree with you. During those flashbacks I was hoping to hear John say I love all my children equally. It seemed too obvious that Ashley was the favourite and how that would feel to young Jack and Traci. I get that was the time back then for the man to take care of the family but I felt so sad that Jack couldn’t talk or cry to John like Ashley did abiut losing their mother. I also felt so bad for Traci; if Jack was Dina’s favourite and Ashley was Johns where does that leave Traci? You don’t see… Read more »
I wonder if Traci harbours any resentment towards Ashley deep inside of her. I don’t think it would be realistic if she didn’t. Ashley was their dad’s favourite and Jack was Dina’s favourite. Now Traci finds out about these documents that were made on Ashley’s behalf by Dina and John. Traci is still a human with feelings even if she is a good person who loves her family. That would eat at anyone. Dina abandoned the family, leaving the Abbott children without a mother. Dina’s mind is so sharp when it comes to those documents made for Ashley. She even remembers where it was hidden in the office. It doesn’t make a lot of sense that Dina wouldn’t have told Ashley about the documents when she was well. I like that Dina did this for Ashley. It is a nice unexpected twist, and it gives Dina some redemption for her selfish and hurtful choices in life. It shows us that she thought about Ashley’s well-being and her contributions to the company.
I thought it is was very sweet when Devon used sign lanaguage with Lily telling her that he loves her. It reminded us of Devon and Lily’s history together as brother and sister and that Devon didn’t have his hearing when he and Lily first met. Also, Lily is lucky that Devon forgives her. Not everyone would be abe to do that. It shows us Devon’s kind hearted and forgiving character.

I read this past summer that Ashley was leaving the show and her scenes were to be completed at the end of September. So here we are with a new story involving her and the possibility she could bankrupt Jabot. Is she leaving, did she change her mind or are we going to see a “new” Ashley to continue with this new feud between Jack and her?
I have my fingers crossed she’s staying. Such a juicy role! So much potential for drama in any direction. If the storyline ends abruptly it won’t feel natural. I’m hoping what you said, a new Ashley.
Maybe this is the reason behind the speed in which the storyline is developing
She is leaving last air date is Monday the 29th. not sure how she will leave, but they can recast, have done it few times already

Do you think Something is going on with Christel Khalil and Kristiff St. John? Is there a real life reason Neil hasn’t visited Lily?
It has to be something because Niel had a “work emergency” to miss the visit with Lily. Right after Cane got a speech about how he could move around work to make time to visit Lily since he is the CEO of Chancellor Industries. Ummm Niel is the a part owner of his and Devon’s company?? So why is Niel not getting any lecture about not moving work around the visit his daughter!
I was hollering “Noooooooooo!” During the shredding scenes. Someone in the lunchroom asked if I was okay but I couldn’t hear. My coworker explained I was watching my show.
This show is way more entertaining than a lot of the shows I’m watching on Netflix.

I think Ashley owning the patents for every product she created is a nice gift by Dina and John. Yes it could bankrupt Jabot but they are Ashley’s creation from her knowledge and skills; it makes sense for her to have ownership over them. What would Jabot be without Ashley’s developed products? If Dina and John decided it’s Ashley’s right to have ownership over all her patent creations, then Jack and Kyle do not have the right or authority to decide if Ashley should receive her gift, it’s not their place to make that decision regardless off the impact on… Read more »
